Beautiful mountain cabin on creek - 2.9 miles from town

After a day of adventure take a soak in the hot tub by creek! Star gaze for the spacious deck. Miles of trails to explore and only 25 minutes from White Pass ski resort and minutes from Rainier national park entrance. Main house has 3 bedrooms all with queen beds and the loft bedroom has additional 2 singles for the kiddos. Two full bathrooms with walk-in showers, one upstairs and one downstairs. The garage has a ping pong table TV and 3 additional beds up above. We call it the tree house, its so charming. There is no bathroom in the garage.

Cabin has luxury amenities including high speed internet, smart TV, quality bedding, wood burning fireplace, heating and air conditioning, outdoor fire pit and bbq grill.

We are foodies so our small but mighty Kitchen is fully stocked with cone drip coffee makers, toaster, blender, beater, microwave, crockpot, electric hot water kettle and most everything you need.

The cleanliness, the amenities, and the small details for guests were a nice touch. The kitchen was a bit snug, difficult to cook for large groups, but the living areas were wide open and great.

This cabin was in a perfectly beautiful and quiet location. Close to many trails and close enough to Mt Rainier for us! The beds were comfy and amenities were incredible and well taken care of, we mainly used the fire pit and ping pong table for some everlasting memories! The host was incredibly prompt to respond to any of our questions! We would definitely look into staying here again and recommend anyone else to try it out too!

The house is cozy and comfortable. We had a visit from Elk on the yard by the creek and that was special. The house is well provisioned for cooking. Whatever, we forgot to bring it was there. And we really appreciated the pan for our turkey since we forgot it! thanks for sharing your special home. It was well described and met our needs. (8Adults)

Beautiful Cabin

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. The interior is amazing and very comfortable. There is a house under construction next door which made for a bit of noise but not too much. Overall a great location and wonderful cabin.

Quiet Creek Side Getaway

We used the river side cabin as a base camp for the Bigfoot 200 and it was perfect for me an my crew. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and the scenery relaxing. The cabin is located near town with easy access to the grocery store, coffee shop and restaurants.

Great Riverfront Get-Away

This home was very inviting. The A-frame style, large deck, and comfortable main floor bedrooms and upper loft sleeping area was perfect for our family of 5 - we could have added 2 more. An added bonus was the herd of elk that visited us one evening. The kitchen was a bit small but was well equipped - we would stay here again.

Packwood stay

The property is great and exactly as described in the listing. It is 45 minutes to Rainier but you don’t have closer options nearly as nice. There’s not many places to eat in town that appealed to us so we cooked out often on the nice grill provided. Sitting on the deck before or after a long day of hiking and hearing Butter Creek cascading in the rocks below the yard is particularly nice. One night three female elk splashed across the stream.

Long holiday weekend

We enjoyed 5 days at this lovely property. The cabin was clean and well equipped. We enjoyed a fire each night and wading in the creek during the day. Our only small issue was the hot tub. However, it didn’t greatly impact our stay.

Birthday weekend

The place was very relaxing! We thought that it was by a river so we were hoping to do some fishing but it is just a creek. The hot tub was nice but it took a while to get up to 100 degrees. Overall, a great experience and the kitchen is very stocked up with a lot of necessity!

Slice of Heaven in the woods

Can’t say enough good things about this property. Absolutely beautiful inside and out! Our little boys (ages 2 and 4) loved throwing rocks in the creek. Had all of the amenities for a fun getaway. We were attending a family wedding just down the street and this worked out perfectly. We even used it as the “grooms quarters” to get ready in the morning. We had never been to Packwood before but I would LOVE to come back and stay here again. So many fun things to do in the area.

Absolutely Wonderful!

This rental was a beautiful cabin with waterfront access and views that were outstanding! The owners were so very gracious and helpful with all of our questions and needs. It was so cozy and there is nothing like the feel of fluffy new linens when you climb into bed at night! The WiFi was without any hiccups and the boys were able to stream their videos in the evening with no issues. And how about snores under a meteor shower show on the lawn chairs?! Amazing! Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with my family!

Best Thanksgiving Ever

We absolutely had the best time we had a group of 13 of us for Thanksgiving dinner 10 of us were staying there at the property. Plenty of room, kitchen was a little small, but we knew that going in it made for an interesting job of cooking, but we ended up with a turkey roaster so that freed up the stove, the place was clean, comfortable, warm. We loved the sound of the creek behind us and we loved visiting with all the neighborhood animals. Elk, Grinch and his little brother, deer and lots of sweet neighbors. I Will definitely book again. Thank you!!!

River Cabin

This cabin is great and in a beautiful location right by the river! Just out of town, so a quick drive to coffee or the grocery store. The house had lots of beds and space for our big extended family and was equipped with whatever you needed! The hot tub and ping pong table were a big hit with the kids as well! One of the roads to paradise was closed due to construction, so we had to take the longer route which was a bit of a bummer, but it was still doable. Also, a thing to note is that they are building a cabin next door, so there was a lot of building noise starting at 8 am. Wasn’t too bad, but a thing to know.

Favorite Cabin of our Trip

This was one of the best built and maintained properties we have been in. You can see the love the owners have for the place- especially in their attention to detail. We stayed in 3 separate cabins throughout Washington on our trip and this was our favorite. Perfect location for hiking Mt Rainer and the town of Packwood was very close and convenient. The only unexpected aspect was how close the next door cabin is. We are particular in selecting private cabins since we had 4 kids around the age of 10 and we want them to run around and be loud and enjoy being outside without worry of bothering other people or just having strangers so close. The cabin next door is maybe 15 ft from the rental with a shared driveway. Thankfully it was under construction and only looked about 90% complete, but if it was an active rental, we would not have stayed here. This should by no means take away from the absolute stunner of a cabin this was but for families or couples looking for more privacy, you will not get it once that cabin opens up and it was not clear by the photos listed just how close it is.

We are a family of outdoor adventurers. We love snow skiing, snow shoeing in the winter, hiking in the summer and fishing the Cowlitz river for steelhead. We decided to VRBO our cabin part time. We really wanted it to be used when when not there so the comforts and quality of home really show.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Relaxing in the cabin watching elk roam by and eagles sore from the kitchen in the morning is our favorite. We love the neighborhood and our neighbors. Being close to town for a cold beer at the Packwood brewery and a burger at the Blue Spruce is a must!
