Restful

Staying here was a quiet get away to the beach. The weather was perfect for sitting on the porch, which we enjoyed.(Good thing since there is no where to sit and relax in this tiny space.) The proximity to the restaurants and the boardwalk was fantastic.There was no ice maker in the room as the photo of the room showed. There was no way to have ice for our drinks as we prefer.The bed was comfortable but the very small space would be better suited for only 1person as there is zero space for baggage for more than one. Since this was our first trip to KureBeach, we had no idea that there was a north and south side of the street. It took us about 20 minutes of circling and looking before we realized. A heads up to make sure your gps is headed to the correct side of the street would be helpful for future guests.

Clean, quaint little studio with everything you need

We came down for a weekend trip and had a beautiful weekend. We had everything we needed. Perfect location to town so you don't have to worry about parking fees. Great owner whom we met while here. Could not ask for better accommodations! We will be frequent visitors here!

Fishing Trip

The Hanby Hideaway was perfect for my recent fishing trip to Kure Beach NC. The location was within walking distance to the Kure Beach fishing pier, tackle shop, a number of restaurants and necessary stores / shops and 1 block from the beach which as a whole meant that I rarely needed to move my car. The cottage was very clean and contained everything I needed for a 5 day stay. The swimming pool was very welcome after a long day of fishing or sightseeing. I would stay here again!

Beautiful coastal property

The property was perfect for relaxing after time out in nearby Wilmington and along the coast. The kitchen was stocked with any utensils and cookware you might need for making meals in to save a few dollars or just enjoy some time on the porch dining. (Food Lion is nearby for ingredients.) There are nearby food and entertainment options. The beach is a very short walk across the street to the left and the pier a quick block to the right. Fantastic location and amenities!

Some Pros and Cons

PROS: The location is great. You are a few steps away from the pier which have great restaurants. We were also in walking distance (2 miles) from Carolina Beach to access more shops and restaurants. We took the walk up to CB and felt safe the whole time. I also really like how there were multiple small bungalows on the property. There was a pool too, but we didn't use it due to cooler weather. I really enjoy tiny living when on vacation, so this was a really nice bungalow that had all the essentials (bed, burner, fridge, sink, bathroom). CONS: It was not as clean as I expected. The shower had no been deep cleaned in awhile. There was a lot of soap scum build up in the shower and the shower floor was dirty as well. It was also lacking enough towels for two people. We also stayed during off-season, so that might have been the reason why it wasn't up to par like the other reviews.

Lovely Stay

We really enjoyed ourselves on our stay at The Cottages! Everything was in order, upon entering we were very pleased upon seeing the cottage. We will consider staying there again.

Quaint, clean and cozy. Contained everything we needed. Close to beach, food, and pier. Perfect for Rest, Relaxation, and Recharge. Loved sitting together in the chairs on the balcony.

Wonderful Cottage!

My husband and I enjoyed our little getaway so much in this sweet cottage!! Dee (the owner I believe) was so kind and was so accommodating. The location is absolutely perfect, literally right across the street from the ocean and only minutes to restaurants/shops on foot. The cottage had a comfy bed, hot shower, adorable patio, and was SO clean. We made the most out of our short trip and we’re so thankful to have found the cottages as our home away from home for a bit. Thank you Dee and your team for a wonderful stay! We will absolutely be back.
