Please take note of the following information:

This modern condo comes with two queen beds, a private balcony, LCD TVs, a private bathroom, and full-sized appliances, including a kitchen table. It is beautifully designed with luxurious furniture and granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom, offering a modern feel. The main living room and balcony provide stunning views. The condo comfortably accommodates up to 6 people and is attractively decorated with beach-inspired furnishings to enjoy the ocean view from the balcony.

For additional sleeping space, there is a Murphy bed in the living area and two queen beds in the bedroom. The condo also features a dining room table and a full-sized refrigerator, range, and microwave/range hood with amazing city and ocean views. The resort offers indoor water features such as a pool, lazy river, kiddie pools, and a Jacuzzi, as well as an oceanfront pool deck with an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi. On-site parking and a fitness center are also available.

Monterey Bay is located approximately two miles from the downtown hotel area and offers easy access to eateries, retail establishments, events, and other attractions.

We hope you will enjoy this condo as much as we do! Free WiFi is available, and one vehicle can park for free on-site.

Please note that all facilities are available, except for the breakfast area.

Description was inaccurate

There is an odd check-in process for this unit requiring photos with certain parts of your credit card and license which seemed sketchy. This unit was described as having two queen beds, a murphy bed, and a fold out sofa. There was NO fold out sofa however--and the sofa was too small to sleep on. I rented this unit to have four separate beds for my three kids and me. I emailed Big Fish Rentals addressing the lack of a fold out sofa and included photos of the poor condition of the unit, the response I received was there should be enough room for my family in the two queen beds. There was no response whatsoever regarding the poor condition of the unit. BFR emailed that they would discuss compensating me and get back to me before I wrote my review. I have emailed BFR three times and they continue to respond that they will discuss this with their team. The customer service was poor and even rude. The description of the unit was false! In fairness, the view from the unit was as was advertised and the amenities in the building itself were good and as advertised. Apparently BFR is not concerned about professional customer service and they do not value the accuracy of very important info such as the number of beds in a unit. Horrible business tactics on Big Fish Rentals part!

Not clean, poor communication

I was very disappointed in this stay. The owner required me to submit additional information before arrival but did not send us the check in email until after the stated check in time. When we arrived, the room smelled bad and the linens were stained. I contacted the host and they failed to correct anything. I messaged the maintenance staff about the issues and they told me they would set up an ozone machine to help with the smell. I told them to please do that while we were out of the room and they didn’t bring the machine until 4 hours later (10:33 pm). We went to Walmart to buy clean linens. The host sent me automated messages but didn’t fix our issues. I do not recommend this place to anyone. You should not pay that much for a dirty room. It is obvious the cleaning fee was not being used to clean the room, it was staying in their pockets.

The room was very nasty. Had to go out and purchase cleaning products to clean everything. Wish I could have washed the towels and sheets. The sheets had nasty spots all over them and so did the towels. I emailed the rental company and never heard back. All of the dishes in the cabinets had been used and just put back in the cabinet. I guess nobody checked to see if they were actually clean. No paper towels or drying towels. No hot mats to get stuff out of the oven. Mattress covers were also filthy and paint was peeling off of the walls. And I know it stated in fine print breakfast wasn’t included but when filtered my search I chose breakfast included. I didn’t know until I got there that breakfast wasn’t included. Kitchen really didn’t really have room to do much. Everything is very cramped. I felt like for the money it should have been cleaner and in better shape.

An amazing time

We had such a great trip and the room was fantastic. The room was clean and has everything you'll need! Plenty of places to sit inside the room, 4 beds, a full kitchen stocked with dishes and utensils to save time and money vs going out to eat. There are also tons of shops and places to eat right around the corner. The area is super quiet and peaceful not overcrowded at all. The parking deck is attached to the hotel so no crossing the street to park and you can park on the floor your room is on as well and walk right to your door! The pools were very nice, they have a rooftop pool and another downstairs. Several hot tubs, a lazy river, and a kiddie pool. It was very kid and adult friendly whether it's a trip for just adults or families. The cost was very affordable and the host was very kind and is available/easy to contact if you need anything! I definitely recommend this unit!

Not As Advertised

When I booked my stay this suite was advertised as a tenth floor unit steps away from the pool and hot tub. THIS IS NOT A TENTH FLOOR UNIT. I was not close to the pool for my kids. When I reached out to management, they said oh, sorry e can refund your abs you can check out now. That was it. However, that refund would not have been available as they know and I would not have had the money to book another room. The customer service is HORRIBLE. The room however, was nice. There are a few updates needed. Paint peeling on dresser, walls cleaned, kitchen wallpaper is bubbling. But we had a wonderful time with the family despite Big Fish Rentals. We will come back to this property in the future but through another company. You’ll notice they are not members if the Better Business bureau and have a D rating for a reason.
