Charming Retreat just 3 miles from the University Of Alabama

Come and relax in this newly renovated charming retreat just minutes away from downtown Northport and Tuscaloosa. Also, located three miles from the University of Alabama campus and Bryant Denny Stadium.
You will see throughout this 1920's built home much of the history preserved with some modernization for todays needs. The home has 2 bedrooms, the first one has a king bed and the second one has a queen bed, both with attached bathrooms. The living room also has a queen size sleeper sofa. Also, the kitchen is fully stocked with kitchen cookware, dishes, and etc. There's also a half bath located just off the kitchen.
You will enjoy the large deck where there’s a gas grill provided for grilling outdoors or sitting around the fire pit on the outdoor patio. You will also enjoy the charm and beauty of this home with many amenities and the location convenient to restaurants, coffee shops, sports events, concerts and many more things to see and do. This home definitely has so much charm that will make your visit well worth it!

We really enjoyed our stay at Charming Retreat. Jeff and Mary were wonderful hosts, and made us feel welcome and comfortable. The home is beautifully maintained. It was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated with small touches that made it feel inviting. The peaceful atmosphere made it easy to relax and unwind. The outdoor space was spacious and well-curated with plenty of seating. We’d happily return and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, memorable getaway.

The perfect weekend

We were here celebrating my daughter’s graduation, the house was perfect, plenty of room and a huge backyard. The owners were great in communicating. The elephant cookies were a perfect touch. We will define rent this in the future.

Awesome house!

Jeff and Mary did a great job and have such a cool property with this house. We stayed for an Alabama game and loved every minute. The place was very clean with all the accommodations you could need. Their communication was great. Hope to stay again.

Beautiful, cozy and elegant

We stayed at Jeff and Mary's house June 7-10, 2024 with our teenage son. From the moment we entered the property, we felt welcomed! The outside deck and back yard are very inviting with several different areas to relax - whether you're just hanging out on the deck, playing bags, grilling or hanging around the fire pit. We were wowed upon entering the house with very stylish and classy, yet simple décor. Those subtle little details (like a claw tub in the master bathroom with crystal chandelier above it and velvety curtains) absolutely added to the charm of the house. Rooms are very spacious and each has its own (large) private bathroom. The owners are very quick to respond to any messages, are very accommodating and were on property within 10 minutes to replace an empty gas tank for the grill when we ran out (you know those things happen, and they had it handled in no time!). When booking a house, we usually look for the consistent, negative comments or issues that renters had. But we can whole heartedly say that there is not one single negative thing we can tell you about this property, or the owners, or the neighborhood! Don't look further - this is your house! You would be crazy to pass on it! Jeff and Mary - thank you for your hospitality, we had a wonderful time! We will definitely contact you the next time we are staying in the area... or in Gulf Shores!

Amazing house to gather with family and friends

The host quickly responded to our questions. The house is clean and decorated beautifully! The beds are very comfortable. The outside area is perfect with a gas fire pit, corn hole, croquet and outdoor tables and chairs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Perfect!

My family and I stayed here for a night. We were passing through during the holidays drving back home to Texas. It was very clean, the hosts we extremely kind and we got the rest we needed for the drive back home. I would recommend renting this property if you are in the area.

We stayed here for a visit with our U of Alabama son. The house is incredible and hosts thought of everything. I honestly wish we would magically transport this house back to WV to live in!

Wonderful Stay!

The house is beautifully decorated! What you see in the listing is truly what you get :) The owners are great! We met Mr. Jolly and he was so helpful and accommodating. We were welcomed with fresh flowers and a loaf of breakfast cake, which was a very nice touch. The house is conveniently located to restaurants, stores as well as minutes away from the Bama campus. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be booking in the future!

We love hosting our guests and making them feel at home.

We fell in love with this home when we purchased it in 2005. The location and the features of this 1920’s built home had so much charm. The home has been through its second remodel while keeping much of the original structure.
