If I could rate the property itself, I would give it five stars. The property was beautiful and the staff was wonderful. The room however, was not. We were placed on the 20th floor, which was undergoing major renovations. Carpet removal, wallpapering the entire hall and painting every room. We were the only room completed on the entire hall, therefore we were the only tenants on the 20th floor. There was debris lining the entire hall throughout our entire stay. It smelled like paint fumes and there were spotlights and construction equipment lining the halls at all times. Several times we came up the elevator to get to our room and as the doors opened, it was blocked by the wallpaper equipment used by the employees doing the renovations. One of the evenings the workers were still in the hallways at 11:17 PM with loud equipment. I then spoke with the front desk and the VRBO rental company who directed me to Eric Carlson, the general manager for the resort. He stated he would have work in the evenings throughout the remainder of our stay. He offered us free beach chairs for the afternoon, which we only were able to use for 10 minutes because of the storms. We got the runaround from the rental company and the resort as to whose fault it was for placing us on a levelthat was being renovated. There was a lack of privacy and security as one of the workers opened our door and tried to enter the room while we were inside changing. It is not safe when the crew has access to every room.
