Great place to stay near Louisville
This was the perfect place for us to stay over Derby weekend. The unit was very clean, looked exactly like the pictures (very nice bathroom and kitchen!), and is a short drive over the bridge to get into downtown Louisville. Christopher was excellent to work with and made the check-in process very easy. I will look up this place or his other properties if I am in the area again!

Nice property, great location
Great place for a couple. Ad says it sleeps six but there is only one bathroom off the bedroom so people sleeping in the living room have to ho through the bedroom to get to the bathroom or the kitchen. There was no bedding for the hideabeds in the living room and we only got 4 towels for 3 people staying 4 nights. One had to be used as a bath mat so we each got one towel for the entire stay. There is laundry facility but we don’t spend vacation time doing laundry so toughen it out with the wet towels.

Vrbo or the property owner was not honest about the property being private the maintenance man stayed upstairs over us I have severe allergies the property was extremely stuffy and the windows didn’t open We checked out a day early to get a hotel room our only night there was Friday It would be nice to receive a refund or some kind of compensation for our troubles It didn’t ruin our trip but it definitely turned our stomach upside down

To clarify for future guests, the listing accurately states that the Speakeasy unit is part of a small multi-unit building, with three private apartments on the first floor and one additional apartment above. There is no shared living space inside each unit — each guest enjoys a fully private apartment with a private entrance.
During your stay, we had a maintenance professional present in the building briefly to complete scheduled work upstairs, but he did not enter or access your unit at any time.
Regarding the windows: for guest safety and security, some windows are fixed. However, the unit is fully climate-controlled with central air conditioning and heating.
We truly regret if the environment was uncomfortable for your allergies. Guest comfort is very important to us, and we encourage all guests to reach out during their stay if anything needs attention — we are always happy to help.
