** Recently updated in 2025! ** This charming cottage is situated in a peaceful and secluded area on Peabody Pond, with a vacant lot on one side for added privacy. Escape the hustle and bustle of daily life by unwinding on the front porch while listening to the loons, engaging in a friendly game of horseshoes, or exploring the tranquil pond in the provided pedal boat. As the day winds down, gather around the fire pit for s'mores or cozy up by the hand-crafted Maine fieldstone fireplace complete with propane gas insert on chilly evenings. Along with the well-stocked kitchen, there is a gas grill and picnic table for a wonderful BBQ feast. The lot is wooded and naturally landscaped with a moderate slope leading to the waterfront, which features a rocky shoreline leading to a sandy/gravely lake bottom. The swim platform and dock, which can accommodate up to a 16' boat, make this location perfect for water activities. Fishing enthusiasts of all ages will appreciate the excellent opportunities to catch salmon, lake trout, and bass on Peabody Pond. A public boat launch is conveniently located nearby and Bridgton and Naples are just 20 minutes away, offering a diverse range of recreational activities. Come experience complete relaxation at this serene getaway!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Camp is clean and has most of what you need. The lake is wonderfully accessible and scenic. Close to restaurants in Bridgton/Naples/Sebago. Driveway is a challenge yet the owner is responsive to concerns.

Very nice location

Overall, we really loved the cabin. The location was great, really nice outdoor space for watching nature go by. Clean lake for swimming and paddleboarding. There was some miscommunication with the real estate company that handles the property that was disappointing but did not ruin the trip. I also found that the letter I received ahead of the stay did not match up with what was in the binder in the cabin, the letter was very negative and the book much different. We both said that the bed was awful, would have been nice to have a comfy bed to sleep in at the end of the day and it would be good to give folks a little of a heads up about the driveway as it was not easy to get in and out of, thankfully we had a truck and SUV so was ok. Again, overall, we had a great time and it was a very nice property. Saw an eagle right over the dock and there seems to be a very cute family of minks living close to the water. Beautiful.

Weather was beautiful and my daughter caught a small mouth bass We rented a boat for 4 days and enjoyed fishing and taking joy rides. Saw an Eagle and the loons were wonderful to see and hear Maine is beautiful

Great little cottage

A small, clean cottage that is perfect for a couples getaway with or without your pup. In our case, our dog was with us. The cottage is small but not cramped and has just about everything you need to enjoy your stay. You walk out the door and are right at the water. Like a lot of ponds and lakes in this area, the shoreline is rocky, so there is no beach. You go down the stairs to the dock and then a ladder to the water. No problem for us. The swim area was sandy and quite enjoyable. The water is clear and clean. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and were able to just relax and recharge the batteries.

Private spot wit spectacular view

Reviewer Comments: This cottage has some very nice features. The view from the back porch facing the water and mountains behind it are spectacular. The dock and raft were great for swimming off of. We used the paddle boat and swimming rafts and noodles. Wildlife including a beaver, ducks, and loons were all spotted in Peabody Pond. The kitchen was pretty well-stocked but had no frying pan. The downsides were low water pressure (especially a problem for us in the shower). The rental overview should mention the steep driveway and narrow turnoff. Cars with low clearance could have a problem on the driveway. We have a 4-wheel drive truck and needed that especially when it was raining. This is a great spot for a couple looking to get away.Our dog loved the place - linoleum floors were easy to keep clean and there is plenty of outdoor space for a dog run. Fifteen minutes to Naples Causeway is a lovely spot to take the dog for a walk.

A True Getaway with easy access to a beautiful quiet lake

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A very nice, clean and small sized lake. Quiet and dark. Your own private water frontage and dock with amenities of very good wifi and clean bathroom and well-maintained camp. The only caveat is about 1/2 mile of road is gravel and driveway is very steep and can be challenging especially without an SUV. Nearby restaurants in Sebago 15min and Naples/ Bridgton 20min drive. Great hiking nearby Bald Pate 10min drive. Rural roads with no street lights and lots of hills and curves - fine to drive just pay attention.
