Perfect home for large family

My husband and I stayed with our 3 adult children and their spouses along with our 7 grandchildren. The house is very spacious and enables the kids to have space to run around or play games. We were a little leary about the raised dining area with the kids, but surprisingly, no one fell or missed the steps and we had 2-7 year olds. The kitchen is quite large and has bar seating that, along with the large table, provided ample seating. The window air conditioners along with a unit in the main area kept the house very comfortable. The pool is very nice and was a hit with everyone. Although not heated, the water was very comfortable. There are newer pool lounge chairs which are very nice. It is a short drive to Old Orchard beach or Pine Point beach. There was an issue with the hot tub which took 2 days to address, but we were in contact with Michael throughout. He was very available whenever we had questions. Overall, it was the perfect house for our needs and we would definitely consider renting again if we come back to Old Orchard.

My family had a lovely stay at this home. It was spacious and clean. The pool was a delightful highlight. Owners were easy to communicate with and responsive. We would certainly love to stay there again. The location feels very private and yet you are just minutes to shops and the beach.

Comfortable Stay

We were looking for some place that had a large gathering area for my sister's bachelorette party. As ladies in our 30s we wanted some place where 8 could sleep and also eat and hang out all together. This was the perfect location. Not far from OOB downtown and just about 20 mins from Portland we were in a great location for a great weekend. The house was immaculate and the owner was communicative and helpful.

5* Holiday Home

We celebrated my 50th in OOB and this house was magical! The living area was perfect for gathering together, playing cards, cooking a big Italian dinner, having cocktails, listening to music (with a little bit of dancing) and laughing a LOT! The beds are incredibly comfortable and the master bathroom has a very unique design. We didn’t get the chance to use the hot tub, but it was very inviting – next time!!! Our hosts were very accommodating and provided instructions for easy access to the house. We did have a couple of small issues while we were there, and Jason addressed them immediately. It was nice to have Michael check in with us to ensure everything was going well. This is a perfect place to bring a large family or group of friends! If I had to change anything, I would request a few instructions on how to work the TV/ fireplace, etc. However, we figured it out! Thanks so much Michael and Jason- It was a memorable stay!!!

This home easily accommodated our family. Our adult children appreciated their own on-suite bathrooms and large kitchen. Well stocked with supplies and linen. Location was exceptional. Owner was very communicative.

Not what is Advertised

The house was layed out nicely, and it didn't take long to figure out who would sleep where. Then as we started bringing our luggage in and inspecting the place more. The UNCLEAN that was revealed was nauseating. *Left over food in the sink drain, not just a bit but GROSS. *Coffee still in the pot, grounds still in the filter that had spilled over into the water reservoir. *Main ice bin - old FOOD. *Trash drawer/bin not cleaned ever, old gross looking food all down the sides. *Gourmet KITCHEN HA-Filthy gas stove, stove hood that had 1/2 inch of dust and grease. * GK pt 2-untensils cheapest ones they could find. EVERY fork we use the tines bent every which way. *Some dark substance on the light plate in the main floor bathroom. POOP? it is a bathroom. *Drink rings and crumbs on the dinning room table. *Bathtub that would not hold water *Fence shown in description pictures, that was no longer there. Our family has small children, that was a re-assurance for us. NOPE !! *Mouse crap on the fireplace, along with dust and dirt. The manager of the property is a fast talker and as we were almost there called and said the mower broke and there was trash he'll get taken care of sometime in the week. The story of the lawn a lie, that lawn didn't just get mowed and the mower broke it's been that way for a while. Said he just checked the pool and hot tub, my son in law used the hot tub and broke out in a rash. Talked to 4 people about the mess and got 4 versions. NOT REFUNDED $$ TOLD

Disappointing

The house itself was large with enough space for 10 people. The bedrooms were comfortable. We experienced a number of problems: 1. On our first day while cooking the stove stopped working as there was no propane. Spoke with owner but not refilled for 48 hours 2. A number of the pans in the kitchen were rusted and needed to be covered to be used. 3, the garbage, which was in the garage had not been picked up from the week before and began to smell. 4. There were mouse droppings under the garbage cans in the kitchen 5. A counter in the bathroom was broken and the pieces were put back as in a puzzle but not cemented down so they fell apart when leaned on 6. The only chaise by the pool was torn. 7. Each person was given one small towel to be used for bath and pool. When we spoke to a VRBO agent and some of these concerns were reported to health and safety. VRBO felt that these were cleanliness issues and we needed to speak with the owner. VRBO tried multiple times to reach the owner without success and we spoke with him twice. Once about the propane and a second time when he called us and said he would get back to us with a possible financial adjustment. He has not returned our calls.

Great family week in Maine

Our group had 3 families with 7 adults and 4 kids under 9. The communication with Michael prior to the trip was timely and very helpful. Our pre arrival email included all the information we needed for lock combinations, WiFi, etc. We were surprised when we arrived that the Keurig we were told about was missing. Jason the property manager had one delivered that evening. All our questions and requests were answered and taken care of immediately. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool. Although it isn’t heated, it was very comfortable. The temperature was in the high 80’s for the week, but the house A/C was able to maintain a very comfortable temperature. The kitchen was very well equipped. A brand new gas grill was available for our use. This is a great house for a large group.

Awesome house but could have been cleaner

The house was awesome. The host was easy to work with. The house could have been cleaner. The range oven was in desperate need of cleaning. The coffee maker had been used when we arrived. Recommend that you do more than surface cleaning.

Weekend Escape

Had some friends and their kids come visit. The layout of the interior is perfect for entertaining, and the location provides seclusion and privacy. Really enjoyed!

Girls weekend💜

9 ladies, all college sorority sisters, stayed at this huge beautiful house for the weekend. We loved the open space, the comfy beds, the amazing gourmet kitchen and the dining table to fit us all. Downtown OOB so close with restaurants and beach to walk. We highly recommend this beautiful house!

Gorgeous House

A team of our top-notched tradesmen stayed at this upscale home as they were working on a remodel project in the area. They all echoed that this beautiful house had all the bells and whistles! It definitely was a treat to come home after working all day to relax, rewind and recharge themselves with all the wonderful amenities this luxury home offered. Michael was an attentive host and provided great communication during their stay. Highly recommend booking a stay here!!!

Excellent location! Beautiful home in a beautiful setting

The house was clean and beautiful. More upscale than other houses I’ve rented in old Orchard .The beds were very comfortable and the house can accommodate a large family. It was an excellent choice for myself, and my family. It had everything we needed for a weekend get away. We stayed in the home for three nights however, once we were there, I wish I would’ve booked the house for a week. and plan on re-booking in the future. The house was easy to find. It is close to Downtown old Orchard and it was easy to Uber from house to the beach. Overall, we had an excellent stay, and would absolutely stay again.

Simply Beautiful

I can not say enough about this house It is absolutely breath taken.. The whole family was very relaxed and enjoyed our mini vacation at the house, Jason and Micheal went above and beyond supplying this house right down to the littlest things that one may have left behind like a toothbrush, They even went the extra step with the kids' books and blocks they were a huge hit with my little kiddos .. We will definitely be booking the house again :)

Amazing

The place was amazing right out of a magazine it was clean and well taking care of. I brought my wife there for her birthday with a couple of our friends it was absolutely beautiful I got brownie points for bringing her here for sure. The owners of this property were super great with communication with us. I would recommend this place to anyone that just want to get away and live like a king for awhile!! I would definitely stay there again!!
