This secluded house is comfortably furnished with a home-like atmosphere. The spacious living area offers room to spread out, take in the silence and relax! Curl up in front of the electric fireplace and enjoy the 50" television in the living room with Chromecast and Wi-Fi for high speed streaming and tele-working. Or, spread out in the outdoor entertaining space and enjoy our gorgeous mountain views. We are surrounded by beautiful farms and one of the oldest dairy farms in the state of Virginia! Depending on the time of year, you'll see different types of crops growing in the field behind the property and we guarantee you'll see cows and horses when driving either direction.

Three acres of open yards and pristine woods are the perfect backdrop for our new house (2023), making it an ideal weekend retreat away from the busy city life. If you want to explore the wooded area you are likely to run into our gently meandering creek. Or, discover the best spots in the area, including wineries and breweries, caverns and trails, antique shops and local makers, only a few miles from the house. Whether you are looking for a restful getaway, a source of inspiration, or a place to stay while you discover Virginia, this is the place for you. The Nest is only minutes from hiking trails and just a short drive from the Old Rag trailhead. We designed our home as a place to disconnect from technology and connect with nature but it has excellent cell and wifi service. Spend your time here reading a book from our library, playing board games with your friends and your children, watching the wildlife, and/or stargazing.

We do have a beautiful gourmet kitchen for you to use but please no heavy cooking. Our home is deep cleaned in between every guest. However, aromatic smells left from cooking are difficult to remove within a few short hours. Please refrain from cooking strong smells like curry, fish, cabbage, Brussel sprouts etc within a couple of days of your checkout to ensure time to aerate between guests. Failure to do so will result in an excessive cleaning fee if specialty products are required to remove the smell between guests.

We utilize the August keyless entry system so you may arrive as early as your check-in time or after hours at your convenience.

PLEASE NOTE: This home is brand new and the grounds are a new construction site - i.e. the grass hasn't fully grown yet so it can be muddy off the driveway and immediately surrounding the house.
