Everything was very clean and the host was very kind and friendly. We really in joyed our stay, I did some hunting and had a little luck got an 8 point and a doe. The wife and i visited some wineries and road around looking at the beautiful scenery. Ron & Margaret

Quiet relaxing escape with snacks, Internet, TV, n everything needed for a stay.

Cabin # 5 is awesome. We stayed 3 nights ..cooked steaks and burgers on the grill and had a couple of camp fires in the back. The place is clean and had everything we needed. We opened the blinds and let in sunshine all day..the price is right and the owners care about that place. I love it!!!

Clean and secure cabin that is a duplex. Somewhat dated with a few dings on the walls and exterior that could use new paint/stain. No stove but there were several small appliances to cook with i.e. slow cooker, skillet, toaster. Bed was clean and comfortable. Could benefit from an additional reading light behind recliner. Everything worked and would not hesitate staying here again!

4 day stay

The location was good and I like to bow hunt and they have good deer hunting in the area. My wife enjoyed her stay also, we went to a winery just a few miles away and enjoyed that also. We plan on going again next year.

Anniversary trip

Great one bedroom cabin that was functional and most importantly clean! Had a great time visiting the hiking trails and wineries. Everything was close which made it a relaxing trip.

Was such a roomy cabin with all of the comforts of home! Steve definitely thought of everything! We will definitely make this a yearly visit! The cabin itself was close to everything yet secluded for a private feel. I highly recommend a visit

The perfect little getaway

We absolutely loved our stay here. So peacefully quiet, love the little welcome baskets. It was super clean and had everything we needed for the stay. Loved sitting on the deck enjoying the morning coffee or looking at the stars. It's great that the property is close enough to town it's not a hassle to run to the store, but it's remote enough to not be bothered.

Cabin in the woods close to SIU.

We wanted someplace close to SIU while we visited our daughter, but it was also close to great hiking at Giant City and other little towns with lots to do.

My husband and I stayed here while visiting our oldest at SIU for family weekend. It was a great cabin. Within 10 minutes of SIU campus. Quiet area. Had everything we needed for the weekend.

Perfect for hiking in the Shawnee National Forest.

Property was clean and well stocked. Even though it is a cabin, it’s right off a main road. It’s very accessible. Quiet at night! Easy to shop in Carbondale. Great location for the wine trail. Highly recommended.

Quiet, cozy cabin near SIU

We came to visit our son at SIU for a few days. This was a great option for bringing our little dog with us. We were very pleasantly surprised to see how well the wifi connection was as we both worked remotely during this time. The cabin was clean, comfortable and close to a residential area where we took several long walks. We also appreciated the air conditioning when the temperatures rose above 80.
