Upstairs apartment with private entrance with carport for one or 2 vehicles depending on size. There is a garage below the apartment that is used by the host. It is a very quiet area. There is a flight of stairs inside to access the apartment. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need for cooking. The unit is located within miles of several wineries and Tappen Lake is about 11 minutes away. The stairs are steep going into the apartment from outside entrance, must be able to navigate stairs safely. There is a handrail.

A nice place to stay

This place was amazing for the price. It was extremely clean and spacious. The owner was very responsive to questions. I would highly recommend staying here.

Nice place

Nice, quiet location. Covered parking right in front of the door. Steep stairs going up, but nothing any able bodied person can't manage. It was great overall.

Outstanding

Michele is accommodating and very responsive. We couldn’t have asked for more. Her property is very clean and everything we needed was available. The location is easy to get to and quiet. We would use her property again without hesitation should the need arise.

Book it. Do it.

This is honestly a 10/10 place to stay, and I've never felt that way about a booking before. To start, Michele is extremely responsive to questions and was tremendously helpful both in answering our questions before booking and in accommodating us for a much earlier check-in than normal because we took a red-eye flight in. The place really is as comfortable, peaceful, and homey as you expect from the pictures, and you can feel how much Michele CARES about making a temporary home/refuge for people visiting the area. I've never stayed at a place so true to the Vrbo/"other platforms" spirit of, "I want to rent out this space I have so that other people can enjoy it." Other bookings have been as good in terms of amenities, but it was obvious a business was renting me a product as a consumer; which is fine, but this apartment truly feels like someone made a small version of their home to share with other people. I can't recommend it enough, and we'll be booking it every single time we can for future family visits. The value and experience can't be beat.

Thank you so much for the detailed and heartfelt response. Greatly appreciated. The apartment is an extension of my home. I truly love hosting families in the area who are coming from out of town. I want to provide a safe space for those visiting family. Although this is the first review public of guests, I can say the same for other guests who have been here.

I grew up in this county and have lived here all my life. I am very quiet and laid back. I enjoy fishing, hunting, gardening and just hanging out outside. I have met great people hosting and I love being able to offer a small cozy place to stay in the area where there are not a lot of options for spending the night. It is great for family who comes into town to visit family and want their own private place to stay.

I moved here a few years ago and there was a mother-in-law suite above the garage. It took a while to figure out what to do with it but I didn't really want to rent it out and thought it would be great for the area to have a quiet and safe place to stay for travelers. There also tends to be a lot of out-of-town workers that come to the area. I saw the need and it has shown true.
