Pamlico River Retreat is newly renovated. This cottage sleeps 4-5 people. There is a queen size bed downstairs and a love seat that folds out into a single bed. In the upstairs area there is a full-size bed. In the bathroom there is a shower and a washer and dryer. The full kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, and a small chest freezer. Games, books and TVs are available for your entertainment. The wood burning stove is perfect for cool nights. The rustic charm does not stop inside, it extends to the covered patio equipped with a gas grill. Bring your boats, the circular driveway allows for ease of access in and out of the driveway. Located less than 5 minutes from downtown and from boat ramps, this makes Pamlico River Retreat the perfect choice for your visit.

Clean and cozy cottage. We stayed here for a few days to visit family and it was great to have our own space at the end of the day. We really appreciated the snacks and drinks provided!

We loved our stay for a holiday trip to visit family and this space was magical. We loved the big open room and loft area. Phyllis was an amazing host (and Earl too!). We would definitely stay again next time we visit family!

If you are considering this rental, don’t hesitate! It’s clean, cozy, and comes stocked with everything you could want or need. The downstairs bed was comfy. The outside area is a bonus! We hope to return sometime soon!

Wonderful stay at Pamlico River Retreat

We really enjoyed staying at the little cottage over the July 4th weekend. Little touches like provided snacks and plentiful chilled water were very nice. The exterior patio was a welcome place to sit at night. The downtown was a little far for us to walk to but could be convenient with a bike ride. Phyllis was very sweet and thoughtful throughout our stay.We will be back!Lisa, Stuart and Banjo

Rest and healing

There are so many things to say about Phyllis and her adorable cottage. I’ll start with how friendly she is…while being respectful of her guest’s privacy. She makes certain you have everything you need…and more. You can expect the most delicious, elegant pastries waiting for your arrival. The towels are huge, soft, and plentiful. The bed is comfortable. The fridge is full of a variety of cold drinks. And we were there for 2 weeks so the washer/dryer, dishwasher, and stove were extremely helpful. Her patio is spacious and relaxing (we loved hanging out with the local wildlife). And finally, her place is close to everything we like to do: restaurants, nature walks, and the wharf area. We had a terrific time!! Thank you Phyllis!

Lovely cottage

Phyllis is a delightful host who thinks of everything. We were there for our daughter’s graduation from ECU. The back patio was the perfect place to host a family cookout and Phyllis was fine with that. The patio has a grill, games, plenty of seating and the backdrop of beautiful flowers everywhere! The attention to detail is remarkable. 2 couples stayed in the house comfortably. The kitchen is well stocked. We walked to downtown and loved downtown! Beautiful restaurants and bars along the water. Washington is quite the destination, especially when you stay at this cottage. We will be back. Thanks Phyllis! games, a

Amazing Getaway

Went on an interview in the area. This place was not only a clean and comfortable space but had all the necessities to make a home away from home. Very cute property close to downtown

We loved the rustic feel (like an up north cabin) while enjoying all modern amenities. Super clean, very comfortable bed and due to the colder temps, we liked having the heating element in the bathroom.

Cozy and Clean!!!

Phyllis was a great host and very accommodating. Everything was so clean and she had goodies waiting for us when we arrived! Phyllis provided everything so we didn’t even need anything. We loved hanging out on the back patio, so nice just to sit and relax! Plenty of room to park our boat which was an added bonus! We will definitely be back to stay again!

Washington NC short vacation

Phyllis was a great host, and the property was immaculate. The cottage was so cozy and relaxing. Everything one needed was supplied by Phyllis. Snacks, drinks, and she even had treats for our Shih Tzu. We enjoyed lounging on the back porch/patio. Overall, we had a great weekend. I would say this is the #1 rental in little Washington.

Wonderful Host!

My elderly Mom resides in Washington. My husband and planned a trip to see her. As a last minute add on, we included our 20 month old granddaughter on the trip! We needed a comfortable place and we found it! Phyllis has the best, sweetest, most well appointed little home we could have ever asked for. After a 9 hour drive, we pulled in, and Phyllis provided wine, water, multiple snacks, as well as little treats for our granddaughter. What a wonderful place. It is clean, quiet and perfectly supplied with everything you need. We will definitely be back!

Adorable Cottage

This cottage was absolutly adorable and Miss Phyllis was awesome. She had snacks, refrigerator stocked with drinks and everything you could think of. We will definately be regular visitors when in town.

Great house, super clean, excellent location.

One of the nicest VRBO's I've stayed in. Very nicely decorated. Definitely, the most well stocked with waters, snacks, etc. Great back patio. Plenty of parking. Close to downtown. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful New Property

My husband and I can’t say enough good things about this new property. It was just as it appeared online and the outside area was just as fabulous. The house was well appointed and spotless! We did not bring our boat this trip but it will be a perfect location for parking a truck/boat trailer. The property is so close to the waterfront area and it easy to drive over for the shops and restaurants. We would highly recommend this property!
