This is my childhood home- Its country living but within 30 minutes to The Ark Encounter, Creation Museum, Cincinnati Sports, Newport Aquarium and many restaurants, stores. Close to Becky-Ann wedding venue as well as Atwood Winery. There is a large yard for outdoor activities as well as game area. TVs in three bedrooms and a very large TV in the living room. A large eat-in kitchen that is fully equipped for sharing meals with your family. COVID-free

Welcome and Comfortable

The home was comfortable, and I loved the rolling farmland around it. Marlene made us feel very welcomed with the cupcakes and many basic supplies provided. We had a great time!

Just the best!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this home. There was plenty of space for all of us. The view of the farm out the kitchen windows was beautiful, and sitting on the porch in the morning was very relaxing. The homeowner was amazing, coming to fix the breaker I blew while cooking within 15 minutes!!

Felt like in the country but close to activities

This was an outstanding place for our family. We wanted to go to the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter and it was close to both, and it was 20 minutes from the airport! Close to restaurants and shopping-great place to stay!! Property manager was awesome too!

Beyond Expectations

It is actually nicer than the photos. The host adds extras everywhere you look and considers children in the things she adds around the house. We had absolutely no complaints. Impressed and blessed.

Great Trip

If going to Ark and Creation this Farmhouse is the perfect location, half way between both. If not it is still a terrific place to stay just two miles from Town of Independence. The host, Marlene Smothers made our stay really terrific.

A wonderful home away from home

My younger children loved the assortment of books and toys available, my teenagers couldn’t get enough of the foosball table. My family of nine comfortably enjoyed movies in the cozy living room. This house was exactly the space we needed to relax after busy days gathering with distant relatives and exploring various locations in the surrounding area.

A great place to stay.

Felt at home in this farm house

Ms. Smothers was wonderful to communicate with, and had a perfect house to feel at home in the country. Everything was clean, and as detailed on the site. The location was great! Within 30 minutes of the Ark Encounter, Creation Museum, King’s Island, and Cincinnati. Not to mention the cupcakes she had for us on arrival were delicious! In strongly encourage anyone to stay here!

Fantastic Home Away From Home!

Marlene was a pleasure to work with from the beginning. She is very quick to respond and made us feel right at home. Her home is fully equipped with everything a family needs - we were especially impressed by all of the things she had for kids! (Pack n play, toys, outside activities, games, etc.). This is one of the best houses we have rented. We will be recommending this home to anyone we know visiting the area. Thank you for everything, Marlene!

Perfectly Wonderful

Marlene was amazing and provided a sweet welcoming for our family of 10 (8 adults and 2 small children). All were very comfortable. We loved the history of the home, many of the original features, the many ceiling fans and amenities. It was a perfect experience from start to finish and we would highly recommend this home to others. You will feel right at home ❤️

Way to Go!!

This was the way to go for our Family Christmas!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Host was very accommodating and property was perfect for our big group. The house is well equipped and grocery shopping is convenient. We highly recommend this property!

Thanksgiving

We cannot express how grateful we are of this lovely home. I hosted a small Thanksgiving dinner for my family. It's been 20 years since my wife has hosted Thanksgiving in her hometown. The kitchen was perfect equipped with everything she needed to cook. The furbabies enjoyed the cozy house and big yard as well. We will definitely be back.
