Nice house just don’t expect to get any extra time after 11 for check out will have cleaners at door knocking. Also the neighbors work with a dump truck and will be very loud n keep you up in some the mornings.

Cleanest VRBO we've ever stayed in. Love being walking distance from Poplar beach. Close to highway though, made sitting outside in backyard less pleasurable due to traffic noise. Could use some updating; new bath towels, new refrigerator, more comfortable seating in living room. Master bed was very comfortable but queen bed upstairs was a brick.

The general feel of the house was unkept. There was a lot of rust on the refrigerator door. Mold on the bathroom window downstairs and around outlet covers. A very damp basement/bedroom and bathroom. There were used bars of soap in the showers. No washrags were provided. Curtain rods were unevenly hung. Blinds cockeyed and parts not attached. The dryer was full of wet towels and blankets. No laundry detergent was provided. And, we were asked to take out trash from the previous week.There is potential for this house. It needs a thorough cleaning, some painting and updates. But mostly needs care. Note description of "poplar" rather than "popular" beach home,

Great home and location

The property is beautiful and the location was great. The only issue we ran into, is we needed an iron which we couldn't locate. When I reached out, it took a while to answer. The morning that we were leaving as I was cleaning out the kitchen i happen

Excellent stay in Half Moon Bay

We very much enjoyed our stay at Kosol's property in Half Moon Bay. It's right down the street from Poplar Beach. We had a great time shopping on Main Street and took the short drive to Granada a few times. We liked Sam's Chowder House and Half Moon Bay Brewery the best. The house was clean and just as advertised in the listing. Kosol was responsive each time we messaged him about the check-in process, which was easy. We would definitely like to stay there again!

Great getaway and dog loved it too!

House as advertised, nothing fancy but everything we needed for 4 adults and one dog. Kosol was super responsive from booking through check out, and even followed up when cleaners found something we left behind. We loved how convenient the location was - walk one direction to the beach or the other direction to downtown. Only got in the car for hiking and a trip to grocery store. Backyard was great for our dog, although she definitely preferred to exit the front door and head to dog-friendly poplar beach or walk the coastal trail!

Walking distance to beach and bike path in low key neighborhood! Dog friendly home with fenced-in back yard. Some traffic noise from 101 but not bad! We enjoyed our stay!!

We stayed here to visit San Francisco and Santa Cruz, it was a breath of fresh air traveling on State route 1. Great host, an excellent communicator!

Perfect location and all we needed

House in a quiet neighborhood. Loved the location, close to downtown & .5 mile 10 minute walk to poplar beach which is a great beach for kids and dogs. There is road noise as house is next to Hwy 1 but you only hear it when outside. House has everything you need, two living rooms, furnished kitchen, dining table that seats 6, 2 bed and 2 bath. Fenced back yard with a deck, furniture, and fire pit. Plenty big for our family of 6 and two dogs. Thank you Kosol for a fabulous weekend.

This home has hardwood floors, an entry deck, a rear deck, and a large rear patio in a fenced backyard. It is located in a quiet and friendly neighborhood in the Poplar beach area, just a few steps away to downtown Half Moon Bay, beaches, restaurants, and trails.

THINGS TO DO
Beach Hopping: Half Moon Bay is known for its pristine beaches, and there are several you can visit during your stay. Start with an easy walk to Poplar Beach and make your way up north (paved trail) or down south (unpaved trail).

Hike Coastal Trail and Wavecrest Open space Preserve and for a more challenging hike, check out the Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve and be thrilled with the giant redwoods,
rushing creek and understory of ferns, berries, and wildflowers.

Stroll HMB's charming downtown where you will find a variety of shops and cafes.

If you visit HMB between Feb and March, check out the Wild Mustard Fields where you will find the coast turns a brilliant deep yellow.

Horse Back Riding at the Sea Horse Ranch - beautiful guided coastal trail and beach horseback rides on Half Moon Bay's Poplar Beach. The minimum riding age is 7 years old.

Visit Seal Cove Cypress Tree Tunnel and Fitzgerald Marine Reserve at near by Moss Beach.

Visit El Granada, a nearby fishing harbor town where you can buy fresh fish off the boats every Saturday. Dine at Barbara's fish trap (local favorite) while you are there.

Check out the world-class golf at the Ritz hotel, also famous for beautiful landscapes.

Explore California Coastal Trail: Bring your bikes or visit a bike rental shop downtown HMB to rent one.

PLACES TO EAT
Dad's Luncheonette: This place is within walking distance and located right on Hwy 1. It is famous for hamburger and mushroom burgers.

Barbara's Fishtrap: Located in El Granada (4 miles North) and is famous for fresh seafood, look for "Today's Special" on a whiteboard hanging on the wall. It's an oceanfront restaurant and has outdoor dining.

The Barn: Looking at their burger makes me feel happy. It's located on Hwy-1, and we go there for burgers and deep-fried Mac&Cheese.

Sam's Chowder House and Miramar Beach Restaurants: Both are oceanfront restaurants with great seafood dishes, always busy during the weekend.
