We call it the Treehouse as it is a 2nd floor apartment up in the almond, coconut and banana trees. The style and location is exactly as the pictures on the site clearly show plus some upgrades in landscaping. We go to great lengths to keep the place, mildew and salt spray clean which can be a challenge on an island in the warm Tropics. With our newly paved road dust is no longer a problem. There were a couple of motorcycles up and down the road that morning. We've since notified the police and talked to the guys involved. We are doing some electrical upgrade and work on the entrance. We don't start work till after 8AM. However in response we quickly readied and moved the guests to a larger room closer to the beach and comped them for the night. As a vacation rental we typically get independent travelers who might prefer to have less interaction. However we have return guests who we interact with more and even share a holiday dinner with as mentioned in some reviews. We inform guests on arrival that Helen can cook breakfast or a lobster dinner with advance notice and that she will do laundry for a small fee. Only Helen uses the machines as things are extra expensive here and on the island more time consuming to get. The dryer is on the blink and can burn the clothes. This time of year sea grass comes and goes. It can be raked up and burnt but it's best to leave it as it helps fortify the beach is in a constant flux as well. We stand by our good reviews and our many great guests who visit. There was some damage done to bedding due to an indelible marker and some pending charges for meals and bicycle rental which after being deducted took most of any return after they chose an early departure from the island. Luckily we use good mattress covers which saved the mattress. After reading(too late unfortunately) another of Matt's reviews there could be a trend. We have been extremely fortunate here on the island to have avoided the major negative effects of the political unrest in Nicaragua. Planes are running supply boats running tour boats visiting and we are secure and welcoming.

Thank you for your wonderful review. It makes us feel great when people enjoy themselves whether for a couple of days or a month. Also we have upgraded the hot water. A good thing even in the tropics.
