Raccoon Cabin @ Orange Tractor Retreat: a new, modern cabin on 40 private acres

Welcome to Orange Tractor Retreat! Our newly constructed Raccoon Cabin is one of 5 cabins at OTR, all situated in a large, private cul-de-sac with our namesake Allis Chalmers tractor to welcome you to the Retreat. This cabin features bright, beautiful spaces and functional amenities. Raccoon is situated to give you the loveliest view of the 40 acres old growth forest and the Wisconsin River. Relax with a cup of coffee or tea when you open the sliding glass doors and walk out to your private patio. There’s Adirondack chair seating, a fire pit, firewood and a gas grill. You’ll love the gorgeous sunrises, and sunsets! (We know we’re in the woods, so we have pest control and mosquito services for the cabin.)

The cabin is brimming with useful amenities including Public Goods toiletries (100% recycled, post consumer plastic bottles and sustainable non-toxic ingredients), Standard Textiles linens and towels, unwavering commercial furniture, walk-in showers, games and a smart TV (bring your passwords!). We have spices stocked, coffee and tea ready and an abundant amount of dishes and cookware.

If you have to work - we’ve got you covered with wi-fi, a desk, chair and lovely view out the window.

We know your dog will love it here, too. We have a big, comfy dog bed for your fur-baby, along with concrete, indestructible floors and walking paths that your leashed pet will love (with convenient poop disposal stations situated along the way).

Bring your boat, personal watercraft…The Two Rivers Boat Launch is only 11 minutes away.

QUIET HOURS ARE FROM 10:00pm - 8:00am. Please continue to enjoy the indoors or the outdoors during this time, just do so without yelling, loud music or other noise.

Upon booking, you’ll be provided with information about the area, a map that will help you experience the Dells, and our own personal recommendations that we’ve visited and enjoyed ready for you to experience! If we’re missing something, just let us know!

Dells Escape

Immaculately maintained cabin not far from the Dells. Perfect for a family stay. On-site trails and firepit made for an excellent end of day activity. Main bedroom bed was comfortable, AC worked well, kids liked the ladder accessible upstairs. Host was very communicative.

ORANGE Tractor Retreat A

We had a great visit, quiet cabin in wooded acreage. Wonderful hiking trails, perfect for dog walks. Well stocked kitchen. I wish the cabins were not so vlose together, my dogs barked at every person they saw. Overall we had a very nice relaxing stay. Thank you!!

Dells Getaway

We stayed for a family vacation in the Wisconsin Dells. We opted for a cabin 20 minutes outside of the Dells to avoid the crowds and have a more remote and relaxing environment. We loved the upstairs bunks- but be aware the stairs are a bit tricky to navigate (not a good fit for older adults with mobility issues or young children who may need to be monitored going up and down the ladder). It was nice to be able to get a fire going as well as the grill to cook. And the location was excellent for being close enough to the activities we had planned but not right on the strip. The area has about 5 cabins close together but everyone was quiet and respectful and we had no issues. They have a ton of recommendations for activities, restaurants, hiking, and more available with your stay. Hosts were responsive and helpful when we needed extra towels or had questions.

Amazing Dells getaway

This was an amazing place to stay just outside downtown dells. My wife and I spent a couple nights here and loved the property so much. Everything was very clean and up to date. The location of the property was perfect. It was just private enough to not feel watched but the other cabins are close enough to make you feel safe. Couldn't recommend this place more.

Luxury Cabin in the middle of the woods

Just as described, this cabin has all the high end touches while in the middle of the woods. We were able to enjoy the area, go to the Dells, and then come back to comfort. Our dog also loved the grounds. It was also easy to reach the owners for questions through text. The only thing that was a little difficult was the ladder that went to the second floor beds. Even though our littlest wanted to climb it, it was a little steep for him so he slept with us downstairs. Will definitely be back!

Great stay!

The owners were great! Checked on us every step of the way while we were there. Property was great! Kitchen well stocked with common staples that other properties don’t usually have. Property was in a great location, close to well known areas. Staying here made for a great weekend away. And I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Kudos to Orange Tractor Retreat!

Our new favorite place in the Dells. Everything about our stay was exceptional. The cabin is immaculate and had all the amenities you could ask for. The property is a well maintained, quiet and secluded with hiking trails throughout. The owners were very responsive and accommodating of our last minute request for a late checkout. Premium cost but worth every dollar. Highly recommend if your looking for a place close to the Dells but far enough away from all the bustle.

Founded in 2019, Orange Tractor Retreat is a family run business. We’re two married couples, managing the next phase of our lives as our kids all head to college and leave us as empty-nesters. We built the Orange Tractor Retreat for people who love the smell of pine, enjoy watching eagles, the quiet, calm interaction with nature and for those who love the fun and excitement of the central Wisconsin/Dells area. Our cabins were built to be the home base for all that you want to experience in the Dells. We've been personally involved in every aspect of Orange Tractor Retreat. Beginning with rescuing our namesake - a 1961 Allis Chalmers tractor left over on the property when we purchased it. We’ve rehabilitated the forest, marked the paths, decided on cabin placement based on the trees, designed and furnished the cabins… and everything in between. We have big plans for OTR, and we hope you’ll join us in our journey!

The home of our Raccoon Cabin is a 40 acre old growth forest, appreciated for its lovely, fresh-scented pines, red and white oaks. We know that nature lovers, couples, families, remote workers (and their dogs!) will find what they need at Raccoon. Stay inside and enjoy the expansive windows and sliding doors as you view the outside, cook and serve in the full size kitchen with island and then relax on the comfortable, pullout couch while you stay cozy with the gas fire place. Go outside and enjoy access to your own private patio with fire pit and gas grill and then head out to walk our trails and find yourself at the amazing Wisconsin River for the most beautiful sunset, during any season!

Our Raccoon Cabin is a cute, comfy, modern “glam-ping” retreat that seamlessly connects the appreciation of nature to the comforts and convenience of home. The queen bed on the main floor offers beautiful views of the forest and guests will appreciate the amazing, modern shower and lighted mirror in the huge bathroom. The connected kitchen, island with seating and lovely main space are perfect for a nice evening in. Go up the custom made ships ladder to the 2nd floor loft with 2 twin beds, along with a nook desk for our remote workers. Guest needs are met with coffee and basic spices in the kitchen; Standard Textile commercial towels and sheets, and Public Goods shampoo, conditioner and bath wash are ready for you. So, go out and enjoy the grounds, and/or explore the good food, fun bar scene, shops, wineries and excitement of the Wisconsin Dells! The Raccoon Cabin will be your calm home base when visiting the Dells!
