Located in Chalet Village, Take It Easy is nestled on the side of a mountain with BEAUTIFUL forest and seasonal views of Mt. Le Conte, and close to all the action. This spacious 2 bedroom luxurious A Frame Chalet has high-speed WiFi internet, a hot-tub, a game table with pool and air hockey, a barrel arcade unit, and access to 3 community pools from Memorial Day to Labor Day. When you walk in, you are welcomed with beautiful architecture that is tastefully lit and designed with log furniture. At the other end of the chalet is a wall of windows that opens to the forest or seasonal mountain view of Mt LeConte, as well as the outside deck area. There is also a stunning spiral staircase that takes you to the upstairs bedroom or downstairs to the game area.

The main level has the fully stocked kitchen, two tables that each seat 4 people, full size L shape sleeper sofa in the living room, a big screen TV with surround sound and an electric fire place. You will also find a king size bedroom and a full bath with shower.

Walking up the spiral staircase you will get yourself to the bridge that connects to the other kingsize bedroom which also includes its own full size bathroom with shower, 2 lounger chairs and a big screen TV. Wake up in the morning, pull back the custom designed privacy curtains and you will watch the sunrise over Mt Leconte! The architecture in this room is stunning!

Walking back down the staircase gets you to the bottom level which is where you will find the game room and a queen size sleeper sofa. This is where the Foosball table, arcade table, and mini fridge with sink is found. Try to find the secret door to the hidden kid room with their own TV, mini recliners, and lego game table! If you can't find the door, your kids will crawl through the secret Bear Cub cave to let themselves in.

There are two decks on this chalet. The upstairs is open air and you will find a two seater lounger and two patio height poly chairs. Downstairs is where we play cards and board games under the covered patio with an outside dining table and a hot tub, all lit with LED string lights. There is even a small fire pit out front to roast marshmallows or to just hang out.

All year long, guests will have access to Tennis and Pickleball courts. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, guests have access to 3 Chalet Village swimming pools. Come enjoy the Smokey Mountains in this relaxing, luxury cabin. (please read rental agreement when booking). Winter weather will cause icy road conditions. The drive to the cabin is steep in areas so a 4-wheel drive vehicle and/or a vehicle with chains is recommended. The driveway provides flat parking for up to 3 cars.

AIRPORT: McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville is a 1 hour 10 min drive to our cabin and is the recommended airport to fly into if you're coming to the Smokies.

HOLIDAY NOTE: THERE ARE NO CHECKOUTS ALLOWED ON THANKSGIVING DAY OR THE DAY AFTER, 24-26 DEC, or 1 JAN

ROADS: The road is paved all the way from the main road to the cabin. Although snow here is rare, 4WD or AWD may be necessary in inclement weather. These are mountain roads, so they are steep at places. Cell service is spotty in the mountains, we highly recommend you download the maps of the area for offline use prior to travel, just in case service is lost.

PRIVATE PARKING: Park immediately in front of the cabin. Parking is available for 4 cars.

ACCESS: The front door is equipped with an electronic keypad. Guests are required to sign the renter agreement and set up their security deposit to receive the door code. You will get a personalized door code 48 hours before check-in, no need to meet anyone for keys. Enjoy the entire place to yourself.

AGE: All guests must be 25+ with the exception of children with their parents.

OCCUPANCY: 8 Person Maximum. If you bring more people than accounted for on your reservation, we will charge you $100 per person over said number per night. Exceeding the maximum permitted occupancy can result in many issues, including a fine by local authorities for not adhering to sprinklers/fire safety, and overflowing the septic tank. We reserve the right to cancel reservation if this rule is not followed.

SECURITY CAMERA: There are security cameras on the front porch in place for your protection. If you touch or tamper with the cameras, you will be asked to leave the property immediately. This is for your protection.

SMOKING: This is a NON-SMOKING/VAPING cabin. No smoking anywhere on the premises.

WEATHER: No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/other things that are beyond our control. Please purchase travel insurance for coverage.

HOT TUB: Alcohol and glassware are NOT allowed near the hot tub. There are plastic cups available in the kitchen for use near the hot tub for non-alcoholic drinks. You are not allowed to use the hot tub if you have consumed alcohol or if you are pregnant. Do not dive headfirst into the hot tub. Use the hot tub AT YOUR OWN RISK! Please refer to the hot tub rules posted in the patio for further details. Please take care to keep liquids/food out of the hot tub.

OUTDOOR GRILL: There is a park style charcoal grill out front. You will need to supply your own charcoal. There is a metal ash bucket and an ash shovel to be used to clean up afterwards.

TRASH: Please dump liquids into the sink and not into trash bags. Place all trash into trash bags and secure trash bags. There are two trash cans in a bear proof cage at the end of the driveway. Please secure all trash with the lock as the bears are clever and motivated. Those bins will be empty on your arrival. In the case you fill both up, we ask you to please deliver the trash to the pickup facility that is 5 min away located at the intersection of Ski Mountain Rd and Heiden Dr.

NO GARBAGE DISPOSAL: Please do not throw any solid foods down the drain as it will clog.

CRITTERS: We subscribe to quarterly pest control, however this cabin is in the wilderness, and with that comes bugs and other wild animals, including bears and snakes. Please practice bear safety. Remember to keep your doors locked, throw trash in the bear-proof containers (once installed), don't feed or try to approach a bear, and don't leave any food outdoors, including on the grill nor in your car.

PETS: Pets are NOT allowed. We love pets, however some of our family members and guests are very allergic to pet dander. Please be considerate and make alternate vacation arrangements for your furry family members. There are many pet-friendly cabins in the area that would love to host your family.

CHECK IN/OUT: Check-in at 4:00 PM. Check-out at 10:00 AM. We do not offer early check-in nor late check-out. We do not allow check-ins nor check-outs on holidays.

OTHER SAFETY: Do not lean or hang on the railings.

CANCELLATIONS: All cancellations will incur a $175 service fee as that is charged to us by our credit card service.

We provide a starter pack consisting of dishwasher tablets, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, and kitchen sponge. Basic toiletries including soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion are provided in all bathrooms. Condiments, ground coffee, creamer, sugar, zip lock bags, and charcoal are NOT provided. Laundry detergent is also not provided.

*Absolutely no smoking, vaping, candles, incense, or any other smoke/odor producing products are allowed.
*Absolutely no pets allowed due to allergy concerns. If you bring a pet of any kind you will be charged an additional $300 for cleaning and be asked to leave with no refund.
