Enjoy all seasons on Pleasant River Lake

Come and enjoy everything Pleasant River Lake has to offer. Take advantage of the nearby ATV, Snowmobile and hiking trails, or fish and simply enjoy the peace and quiet the area offers. This lake house, near the waters edge, offers all the comforts of home with a fully stocked kitchen, linens, towels and a washer/dryer. The property also includes a covered porch, dock, and small sandy beach area. There is also an outside eating area with a grill, fire pit, tables and a nice yard space. The property is located 45 to 50 minutes from Bangor/Brewer, Ellsworth, Machias, Calais and the Canadian Border. Acadia National Park is about an hour and a half drive, and the Cherryfield and Milbridge area is about 25 minutes away. You can also enjoy the Schoodic Peninsula area of Acadia National Park which is about a 45 min drive. This is a sweet spot that you are sure to enjoy.

It was a treat to have a lovely, swimmable lake just steps from the house. The kitchen is well-equipped, beds are comfortable, and we took advantage of the outdoor eating area nearly every meal.

We'll be back!

Great place! The house far exceeded our expectations. It was super clean and well stocked and comfortable. Some people comment that it is located far from "civilization" (like grocery stores and shopping), but that is exactly why we chose this place.

Peaceful getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this lake house! The views were stunning, the home was clean and cozy, and everything we needed was provided. Perfect spot for fishing, kayaking, swimming and relaxing. We’d definitely come back!

I grew up in Beddington. Since there are really no places to stay close by, this VRBO was very convenient and in a beautiful spot.

Lake Camp

The property is as pictured, clean and great location. Host has the property stocked with household goods. Prompt communication on any issue and am looking fwd to a return visit as it is set up to make the most of its location. I have passed on this listing to family and friends looking for a lake front setting

Just what we wanted

We wanted to have a nice secluded location that provides a beach and fishing access to enjoy family time with all the fun the kids love to do. We enjoyed our stay! The house is on a great property with lots of room. The houses nextdoor are visible but far enough away that you don't feel bothered. The entire area was so quiet and you can hear the beautiful look calls at night! Ample wood was provided to enjoy at fire at night and all the necessities are available in the home. The house gets a great breeze off the lake as well that cools you off at night. The shower is a camp shower so it is pretty narrow but we aren't picky. Overall a great stay and a great property! Very beautiful! Thank you!

Just What We Hoped For

This home was perfect! So many great things to say- it’s right on the water, has a small private sandy beach area, a fire pit, and a gorgeous outdoor space. The house came fully stocked with extra linens, kitchen supplies, and even firewood. The three bedrooms were perfect for us 3 friends but would have also accommodated 3 couples as well. The house is down a short dirt road and a bit out of the way but that was exactly what we were looking for. Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your fabulous home! We hope to come back next year!

Everything we wanted

We rented the property for a weekend getaway for our family to relax and do some ice fishing. We caught 21 trout in 2 days! I would book this property again.

Great Maine get away in rural location

My sons (17 and 22) stayed at this cabin during our recent visit to the NE Maine area. We visited several locations in the surrounding area including Acadia. The cabin was comfortable and clean. I appreciated having several towels for our visit, including large enough towels for using the lake for a swim. There is a small dock and beach to access the lake from, right down a small set of stairs from the cabin. We didn't use the kitchen much, but it was well equipped with the essentials. There was firewood available for the firepit, which was a very nice touch. The basement stairs to get to the laundry area were a bit scary, but I've also got a bad knee. I talked my son into getting the laundry done downstairs. The owner was responsive to any questions or concerns. The location is beautiful and quiet, which was just what we were looking for in a get away.

Comfortable house on lovely lake

The house is spacious, well equipped and comfortable. It has a direct access to the Pleasant River lake so you can enjoy a beautiful view. The place is very peaceful, perfect if you are looking for some quiet time, away from the hustle and bustle of the city! Of course that means that you will be a little bit far from everything and will need to drive quite a bit to find a supermarket, a restaurant, activities, etc. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in this house!
