I regret to learn about your negative experience at My Little Castle. This is the first unfavorable feedback we have received, and I would appreciate the chance to clarify these claims for future guests. There is no fly infestation at our property; this assertion is inaccurate. We promptly provided fly traps to the guests that morning while awaiting the exterminator's visit, which occurred at their earliest available time. The exterminator inspected the premises and found no evidence of flies. They noted that during this season, fruit flies or gnats may appear if doors and windows are left open or food is not stored properly, but they did not identify any infestation or source. The guests who checked out before your stay and those who checked in afterward reported no issues with flies. The claim that the thermostat is locked is incorrect. As explained to the guest, the manufacturer indicated that the thermostat could not be set lower due to safety protocols when outdoor temperatures reached extremely high temperatures with high humidity. This limitation is a result of the equipment's design, not a restriction imposed by the owner. I have never received complaints from guests regarding the thermostat's functionality. While I understand that some minor inconveniences may have affected your stay, they are beyond my control as the property owner and should be addressed to the resort management. The waterpark hours and the availability of luggage carts are not decisions I can make, as our unit is a family-owned property within a condominium in a resort, not a hotel. I take reviews like this personally, as our condo is a family-owned property. We aim for every guest to enjoy a five-star experience. This unit is thoroughly cleaned, well-maintained, and cherished by a family dedicated to providing an exceptional rental. A negative review with false information impacts not just a business but also a family. I believe that every guest deserves a wonderful stay at My Little Castle, making anything less than a five-star review unacceptable. Regarding the "extensive paperwork," the process of signing our rental agreement, uploading photo IDs, and verifying your identity is a precaution for both your safety and the protection of my property and business. It is standard practice for rentals and hotels to collect this information to confirm reservations.
