This beautiful vacation home on Lake Pend Oreille in Hope, Idaho is just minutes from charming Sandpoint where there are plenty of shops and restaurants to explore.

The house has six bedrooms, four full bathrooms, game and theater rooms, with a beautiful outdoor space - complete with hot tub and fire pit - the perfect getaway for large groups.

What a FANTASTIC property!! The deck and view of the lake are the star of the show! My group of friends and I loved this house. We stayed here for our bi-yearly disc golf trip The kitchen was used almost every night to cook huge meals. Living and dining spaces are very large and accomodating to a group of 7 adults. The best part (4 bathrooms) was not having to plan your bathroom time around a long string of people waiting to shower. The theater room provided a relaxing place to catch some movies on the huge screen and oversized theater recliners while the video game table had many hours of play too. The check in process is super straight forward, no secrets, easiest I've had renting a short term rental so far. Rebecca is a wonderful host, very responsive to all communication. For example, the HVAC unit had an issue during our stay and within 30 minutes she responded and scheduled a technician to be there 3 hours later, problem solved fast. I can't tell you how nice it is to have that peace of mind that you're being taken care of. If you're thinking about an STR in this area, check this one out. Book with confidence. It's hard for me to put into words how great a stay we had and we look forward to checking out more from this host. 10/10 experience! Thanks Rebecca!Jeff M

Perfect House for large family gathering

We absolutely loved this house. It was perfect for our large family. We enjoyed the lake views, the wonderful deck area and the movie room. The upstairs water pressure was horrible though. Couldn’t really shower and wash all the shampoo out. Also parking was a bit hard with 5 families and small driveway. But overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this house for large families.

Had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property as a group of friends. The home was spacious and well appointed with a beautiful view. Unfortunately the hot tub was not clean, but the host was responsive, apologetic and immediately went to work trying to find a solution. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!

Great week in North ID!

There were 13 of us ages 12-66 who stayed at this beautiful home for the first week in June. The house is wonderful! The floor plan suited our group perfectly. The kids had the basement space and really enjoyed the movie theater room and hot tub! The adults enjoyed hanging out on the deck. The furniture and mattresses have been replaced since we booked and were all very comfortable. One aspect that didn’t work well for us was parking for our large group. We had 4 vehicles plus two boats on trailers. We were told the garage was an oversized two car, however there was stuff piled up on one side, therefore we could only fit one car in the garage. The driveway wasn’t long enough to accommodate a boat hooked up to a pickup. There is a marina nearby, however we did not feel comfortable leaving a boat parked there with all the fishing gear and we also needed to charge equipment overnight. We made it work by parking some vehicles across from the house but the house manual and sign state not to so we were concerned that we might be called in at some point. We weren’t, but the setup was far from ideal. The driveway and garage (as is) will only accommodate 3 vehicles. The view was spectacular and we hope to come again someday!

Family adult weekend

Most amazing stay. This property was just the best, had everything possible and the most amazing views to wake up to and spend the day with. We had 7 adult kids and my husband and myself and we had more then enough space and all loved it.

Beautiful, Relaxing Vacation

The views of the lake were by far our favorite thing about this house, but there was much to enjoy. There was plenty of room for our group of 7. Our next favorite thing was the theater room. We put our feet up, snuggled in blankets and had some popcorn while watching a new movie and an old favorite. The kitchen was great for making meals when we didn't want to go out. Very enjoyable stay!

Boys ski trip

This house is fantastic. This is our fourth time coming to Schweitzer for our annual boys ski trip and we had a blast. The house was immaculate. Looks to us like it was just renovated furniture was all newer and comfortable, kitchen, well equipped the views are to die for. This place must just be incredible in the summertime. One of the best places we’ve ever rented.

The BEST Place for a Family Gathering

The place is fantastic!!! Our extended family of 11 had ample space and fun amenities to make our holiday trip unbelievable.... even with a few hiccups (some caused by me), the owner was super responsive and got us all set up for a fun family vacation. We are already planning our next trip there!

A Beautiful Home

Christmas adventure!! Amazing theater room. We do this every year and this home was the most clean and organized one ever!! Room for all. Pac man game was everyones fav. If we didn't go somewhere new each year i would 100% be back!

Ladies hiking group

A must stay for large groups! Beautiful deck, clean, the kitchen is well stocked, and a great location.. The only complaint that we had, was there were no goats seen, on Scotchmans 😉.

Sibling Reunion - GREAT PLACE!

Thank you Rachel for allowing us to stay in this beautiful place. The view was spectacular of Lake Pend Oreille. The house was very comfortable and welcoming. We liked it so well, the majority of the family didn't want to go and explore other towns/places. It was nice to be able to take the Kayaks and explore for those that did want to go out. There was plenty of room. Loved the theatre room, however there was no DVD player as stated in directions and there was popcorn on the floor and the pop corn maker was very dirty and found candy bar wrappers in the seats. One of my siblings was awaken by a scratchy sound out of the window well on the bottom floor. (late at night) There was a bunny that fell, so we found a ladder in the garage and crawled down to save the little fellow. Might want to put screens on the window wells. Enjoyed the fire pit!!! Thanks again for such a lovely place. We would love to come back again!!!

Wow, what beautiful views! My family enjoyed the deck for the entirety of the stay. There were a couple very minor issues we noted upon check in which were taken care of immediately. We'll be back!

Family Vacation

What a fantastic place for our large family group to base ourselves out of for activities in and around northern Idaho. We booked 6 nights here as we had a large extended family with 5 different families aged 2 yrs to 70 yrs old. The place was perfect as it gave us all our own space. Hanging out on the decks and patios each night and morning was a highlight of this place, looking at the lake and mountains is something we miss already. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings and the kids loved the theatre room and games room. The kitchen and dinning area was perfect for the large group and had everything we needed. Rebecca was easy to work with and super accommodating. Would most definitely stay here again.

Lake View Retreat

We loved our stay with extended family at this beautiful lakeview home! There was room for everyone to be together yet have their space. We enjoyed all the extras: the theater room, the firepit, the hot tub, the multiple decks and patios. The comfort and condition of the home was top notch. The kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed. The view was amazing!

Great Property for a Large Group

We travelled here with a few families (6 adults) and 5 children between 5-9. The house was the perfect set-up to all have some privacy with separate bedrooms, bathrooms and some dedicated "kid spaces". There was also great group spaces to gather and enjoy meals, conversation and movies together. The back deck is beautiful with beautiful lake views. The home was well equipped. This location is a little far from action (groceries, restaurants, public beaches etc.) but worth being a little out of the way for the extra space. (15-20 minute drive from Sandpoint) The kitchen and other house supplies (soaps, toilet paper, shampoo etc.) were well stocked. The hot tub was dirty while we were there. I think it needs a good deep cleaning. our group did not want to use it due to the cleanliness. We did not mention this while we were there so I am not sure if the owner is aware but we let them know after we left. We would go back and recommend to others.
