Great Location with Good Bones

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was clean.
I was very happy with the location.
I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

The location of property is perfect. The property has large amount of lake frontage on flat piece of property (no slope). We had ample space to moor our 20 foot rented boat on the dock which was great. However, there is no gradual entry to lake which may make access to lake for swimming difficult for the very young or old. On positive side house has beautiful unobstructed views of the lake and is in a quieter part of Long Lake, which during height of season can be very busy. The house itself has good bones with ample space and a great layout, but it needs work. Ventilation in house is poor and fans inadequate to keep indoors cool. The furniture and appliances are adequate, but dated. The landscaping was disappointing, the grass was overgrown and shrubbery unkempt. There were several broken items in home such as the back screen door (which was a big negative) and lighting that disappointingly were not fixed prior to our arrival. I doubt we would rent this place again unless items mentioned are addressed. The rental company was was responsive and did all they could to help.
