Halsnoy Haven—A hidden gem on Lake Superior—Perfect couples retreat—Sweeping views

Welcome to Halsnoy Haven! From every angle, you’ll be surrounded by all that Lake Superior has to offer in this large, newly renovated property. With one bedroom, two baths and amazing outdoor spaces, it’s perfect for couples and beautiful in all seasons. Watch the sun rise, listen to the crash of the waves and explore the North Shore with ease—Halsnoy Haven is just minutes from some of the North Shore’s most popular hiking, skiing, biking and dining spots.

Inside, you’ll find an immaculate and well-appointed space with all the amenities. Enjoy the spacious living and dining area with vaulted ceilings, large windows, gas fireplace and smart TV. Sliding doors bring the outdoors in with access to a full porch and covered screen porch for amazing Lake Superior views. The updated kitchen features new appliances and granite countertops. Upstairs you’ll find a king-sized bedroom with en suite bath and cozy nook for reading or naps. Outside, the large flat lot includes a gas grill, adironack chairs, double-swing, fire pit and ample parking.

From Halsnoy Haven, it’s 2 minutes to Tofte, 15 minutes to Lutsen Mountain and 45 minutes to Grand Marais by car. Or, walk or bike the paved Gitchee-Gummi trail for miles—there’s an access point at the end of our driveway. Cross-country ski lovers can join the Sugarbush Trail System just across highway 61. Nearby attractions include Superior National Golf Course, Lutsen Ski Resort and Temperance River State Park.

What a beautiful view. A perfect get away, with everything we needed.
Even in cloud cover the lake is stunning.
The sound of the waves crashing and rolling in were a perfect treat with our morning coffee on the enclosed 3 season porch.

For the 3rd year we had a wonderful Fall Break at Halsnoy Haven. The home is well cared for, exceptionally clean and well stocked. As we were leaving the cleaner was waiting and we where happy to compliment her on the wonderful attention to detail. Of course the view always dazzles.The wine and water bottle were an appreciated addition.We are all signed up for the same time next year.Laurie

Staying at the Halsnoy Haven was an absolute pleasure. Beautiful home perched on the edge of Lake Superior. Everything you could want, solitude, fresh air, peaceful surroundings. We awoke to amazing sunrises and fell asleep to the lapping of waves from the lake.The enclosed porch or open air covered deck were perfect for morning coffee and afternoon sun breaks. We didn't want to leave!

This property was close to several beautiful waterfalls and a couple of lighthouses. The view was absolutely breathtaking! The home had everything we could want and was very inviting. We would highly recommend this place to anyone. We went for our 25th wedding anniversary and loved it!!!

The property was perfect for a weekend getaway. We wished we could stay longer. The first thing we saw when walking into the house was the amazing view of the lake. The weather was rainy and cool when we were there, so we appreciated the covered deck and 3 season porch. Highly recommended this property, even though I would like to gatekeep it, and look forward to returning.

The lake views were incredible. We really enjoyed both sections of porch. Nice to have the enclosed section to avoid mosquitoes or chilly breezes. Wonderfully dark skies made for great star gazing. Bed was very comfortable. Appreciated the dishwasher and gas fireplace. We had a lovely time!

This property was amazing. We loved the peaceful location with shopping and restaurants still nearby. When we walked in, we both said, "Wow, look at that view." The home was clean, well-stocked and the covered porch was where we spent most evenings. Check-in and out were very easy. We will be back!

North Shore in July

My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Halsnoy Haven, and really enjoyed the place. The description was spot-on…well-appointed living spaces, excellent screened and open porch. Having access to the garage was unexpected but appreciated…with heavy storms for a day-plus, able to keep the car protected. That same stormy day, we took full advantage of the jigsaw puzzle collection that was available! I’d certainly recommend this lovely cabin for two people wanting to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing few days

What a stunning cabin! The view of Lake Superior is simply spectacular! Everything I could ever need to make incredible memories of my North Shore visit. Fabulous front porch to take in the view, and it’s incredible on the inside as well. You won’t regret booking this for your getaway!

Our long weekend at Halsnoy Haven was much too short! It's a fabulous house and the owners have thought of everything: big fully equipped kitchen, long dining table perfect for accommodating meals *and* jigsaw puzzles, lots of comfortable furniture for lounging, gas fireplace or outdoor firepit for cooler evenings, and beautifully landscaped grounds. For me, however, the best feature is the porch (both screened and open) with the unobstructed view of Lake Superior. Rainy or peak mosquito season? Enjoy the glider Adirondack chairs on the screened porch. Warm breezy day without bugs? Enjoy the other Adirondack chairs on the open porch. Either way, you can listen to the waves and soak in the view while chatting or reading or simply appreciating the peace and quiet. If you can drag yourself away from the house and the view, it's also perfectly positioned near a number of state parks, fantastic hikes, and Grand Marais.
