Brand New Country Rustic Barn-R&R At It's Finest! Madison Area

This newly constructed 2 bedroom barndominium is the perfect get-a-way for families, couples, etc. (+dogs welcome!).
Get away from it all, unplug and enjoy some peace and quiet in the country! Bedroom one has a queen bed, and the second bedroom has a bunk with a full size lower and a twin upper. The kitchen has a side by side refrigerator/freezer with a water/ice dispenser, stove, microwave, dishwasher, breakfast bar, whiskey barrel table and plenty of cabinets. The living room is very spacious with a sectional sofa, two chairs and a large TV. The bathroom is very charming with a whiskey barrel sink and a full size walk in shower. There is a washer & dryer combo, has in-floor heat and air conditioned. The property sits on 50+ acres with plenty of room to roam and take walks to allow you to connect with nature. Located close to Madison, just over 7 miles from the beltline, nearby several restaurants, bars, shopping, golf and more. We have a solo stove for fires, and a blackstone griddle/gas grill combo for your outdoor enjoyment!

Our stay was excellent. the property is very modern, super clean and comfortable. Location was great. Country setting away from noise of cities. beloved our 4 days and would recommend this property to anyone. The host was excellent. very helpful with suggestions of things to see and do.

Great Stay in Cottage Grove

The accommodations were spotless, and communication with the owner was spectacular. We couldn’t have been more impressed with the professional nature of the rental, as well as the focus on helping us relax, unwind, and enjoy time with family and friends. Highly recommend and would love to visit again!

Creative Property

I love the creative ideas at work in the "barndominium". The execution is still getting worked out. If a fraternity sponsored a rental home, this is what I envision it might look like. Renters need to be aware that whereas the pictures of the barn make it look huge, the actual unit is less than 1000 sq ft. Said differently, the rental space is 1/10 of the entire barn pictured.

Relaxing, peaceful and quaint

We enjoyed the peacefulness of being in the country at the home and on the property, along with spending time at nearby lakes and on trails. We also enjoyed dinners out in the towns Cottage Grove and Sun Prairie. Our evenings were spent under the stars, by the fire watching the meteor showers.

Perfect

We stayed here while visiting our daughter who goes to UW and watching our other daughter play in a softball tournament. This was a great location, very secluded yet close. The shouse was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The host went above and beyond, from coffee and cream provided, a welcome card with a smore box and Wisconsin made beer in the fridge. We will stay again.

Great place and location!!

Very nice and clean place!! Not too far from town but far enough away to feel like you're secluded. Travis was very responsive and helpful with recommendations on things to do and places to eat. If we go out that way in the future, we would definitely like to stay here again!!

Cozy and clean

Was out for our son’s graduation and thought we were bringing the dog (but didn’t). It’s out there a bit, but was quiet and very nice. Travis was super helpful with everything. Nice restaurants and bars nearby too. Would stay here again for sure!

Nice private place outside of town

Easy to navigate, loved the stay. The space is a small/medium space, good for two people and dogs to spread out. We enjoyed the modern amenities, comfortable beds/couches. The location is close to a restaurant/grocery store, and we went to Madison proper without issue. We cooked one night with no issue and had an easy time cleaning up after ourselves. Instructions from the owner were clear and precise, no hassle.

Beautiful in Farm Country

A wonderful property in the country. Clean, comfy, beautifully decorated, very friendly property owner, well equipped kitchen, couldn't have asked for anything more. Loved walking our dog on the quiet country roads.

Contemporary in the cornfields!

Loved this sparkling clean, modern barn stay. It was chilly the wknd that we were there, and we were pleasantly surprised at how well the barn kept heat. We were cozy the whole time. There were some board/card games for the kids, which they enjoyed, as well as a few books on local WI things to do. The owners were very communicative, with a great suggestion for a local restaurant. They also helped us out with some firewood so that we could enjoy a campfire one evening (kids loved the s'mores kit they provided)! A short drive from Madison, this was the perfect spot for us to visit with friends and take in a UW game in the city, but have a quiet place to rest and relax after. Seems to be brand new construction and perhaps newer to VRBO...wouldn't mind a few more books and plates/mugs, which perhaps will accrue over time :) All in all, a very comfortable place to stay, with friendly owners.

Peaceful stay close to Madison

The barndominium is very well done & the surroundings are beautiful. We enjoyed our time both in & outdoors. The solo stove was great for s'mores & a bonfire and the yard is great for games and the roads around the property are pretty for walks. Everything you need is provided as well as some extras! The host was great with communication & suggested some fun activities & restaurants. It is a very short drive to Madison - we were visiting for a college tour & this house worked perfect! We would definitely stay again & recommend to anyone!!

Great stay and great host

We had a great time at this rental. Very new and very clean. Definitely a quiet spot and a bit away from places to eat, etc. Travis the host is great and was always available to answer questions, etc. would stay there again no problem.

Quiet family weekend getaway

Unique, cozy, quiet & clean! Family of 3 enjoyed this dog-friendly rental just outside Cottage Grove and only 25 minutes to Madison. Enjoyed fall fun at a nearby farm, caught a UW football game in Madison and found everything we needed in lovely Cottage Grove. Birds, stars & wildlife await! Host very friendly & helpful!

Great getaway for our anniversary

My partner and I stayed in this property for a weekend to celebrate our one-year wedding anniversary. From the beginning of the booking process, Travis was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We had asked for some flexibility in terms of arrival and departure times and Travis was kind enough to accommodate us. The property is exactly as described, it’s a very unique and modern renovated barn. We had brought our dog with us and Travis had left some dog treats on the counter, which was very thoughtful. He also left a welcome note and was very communicative throughout our stay. Travis really went above and beyond by surprising us with a bottle of champagne for our wedding anniversary. These personal touches made the experience feel very personalized. The property has everything you need to feel comfortable and the surrounding area is really beautiful and quiet. We went for a couple of walks around the neighborhood and enjoyed sitting outside. We didn’t get to use any of the grilling equipment, but if we had stayed longer we certainly would have. We would certainly consider staying here again if we come back to visit the Madison area!

Cozy and comfortable

High end accommodation with beautiful wood throughout. Nice touches from the hosts to include expansive kitchen supplies, blankets, nice towels, board games and more. Worked well for our family of four. Private location and reasonable distance to Madison. Host was thoughtful and communicated throughout to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Would stay again.

Perfect for a quiet get away

The place is brand new, very clean and functional. Plenty of space for my wife and I, and a second bedroom with bunk beds, if you wanna bring the kiddos It is located on a quiet road away from traffic and noise. But it isn't too far from Madison. Communication with the host was perfect! Informative, timely and accurate. If you are heading to Madison and want to stay in a comfortable, quiet place, away from the cars and crowds, but not too far, this is where you want to stay!
