Restored 150 Year-Old Farmhouse at Stemple Creek Ranch

NEW!! Check out our many 5 star reviews on our other properties! This stunning, lovingly restored 150 yr old farmhouse at Stemple Creek Ranch (West Marin) is not to be missed. It is a few miles from the ocean and has 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a huge chef's kitchen, and views of the countryside that stretch for miles. We have three other cabins nearby for larger groups.

Stemple Creek Ranch is a family-owned and operated organic cattle ranch in Tomales, CA, just a few miles from the Pacific Ocean. We raise grass-fed, grass-finished beef, lamb, and pastured pork.

There are a total of 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. We also have two tri-fold mattresses you can use to comfortably sleep 10 in the house.

Downstairs:
- Huge chef's kitchen with a 48-inch Viking range, two dishwashers, two sinks, and a large island with seating.
- Dining room with a wet bar, beverage fridge, nugget ice maker.
- Mudroom with a full bath with walk-in shower, laundry room, and walk-in pantry.
- Downstairs has one bedroom with a queen-sized bed and closet.
- Downstairs has a second full bathroom with a tub/shower combo.
- Also downstairs is a large family room with plenty of seating, a flatscreen TV (streaming services only, no cable), and games.

Upstairs:
Upstairs, there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The primary bedroom has its own private bathroom with a walk-in shower, king-sized bed, cozy chair, Pelton bike, and writing/work desk.
- The second bedroom upstairs has a full-sized bed.
- The third bedroom upstairs has a queen-sized bed.
- There is a hallway bathroom upstairs that has a walk in shower.

Kitchen is stocked with 48 inch Viking range, two sinks, pots, pans, knives, oils and vinegars, spices, coffee grinder and coffee maker (drip), BBQ tools, and more.

There house has an outdoor grill for your BBQ needs and satellite based wi-fi.

The ranch is just a few miles from the town of Tomales, less than one mile Shoreline Highway (Highway 1), and a great home base for both Marin and Sonoma Counties.

Please note: No pets, no smoking, no open flames. We have three other vacation rentals about 1 mile away. This is a working ranch and we have an employee that lives close to this house (the two houses share a driveway). Please note that you will likely see our employees and guests on the ranch and will see and hear cars, trucks, and the operations of a working family ranch.

If you are looking to host an event or do commercial/professional photography, please contact us first. Renting this house does NOT allow you to have a party or event on site. Maximum occupancy is 10 guests at all times.

The house itself, a yard with outdoor seating, parking. Depending on where our cattle are we might be able to let you know where you can go for a walk on our ranch, but please ASK FIRST. We have electric fences and livestock so it is not safe or appropriate to wander around.

We have employees who live on site that will be able to assist you if needed.

Stemple Creek Ranch is just off Shoreline Highway (Highway 1) a few miles north of the town of Tomales. We are close to Dillon Beach, Petaluma, Point Reyes, and is a great home base to everything Marin and Sonoma Counties have to offer. This house is located on our organic cattle ranch.

We sometimes bring our dogs to this house, so if you are highly allergic please take note. There is Verizon and AT&T cell service and satellite-based wifi. If you want to order meat from us (Stemple Creek Ranch) please let us know 10 days in advance of your visit and we can have it there for you when you arrive.
