Comfy Country Cabin + Event Space w/ Fire Pit & Lake Access

Looking for a peaceful country getaway or a place to bring your group together? This rustic rental doubles as a cozy overnight cabin and a small event space—ideal for birthdays, family reunions, or just relaxing in nature.

Inside, you’ll find a single bed, fold-out couch, a regular couch, and additional mattresses available upon request—perfect for couples, families, or small groups. The cabin is simple and functional, offering a laid-back vibe with essentials for a comfortable stay.

Outside, enjoy a large patio with a fire pit, grill, outdoor bar, and open space for games or gathering. Guests are welcome to fish (catch & release only, using barbless hooks) or kayak on the nearby lake. Walking trails and scenic views make it easy to unwind.

Please note:

No private bathroom—guests will use the campground restrooms/showers located in the same building, accessed through an outside door.

All events must be pre-approved and are subject to an additional fee based on guest count.

This is a self-check-in rental and is located on a gravel road, 2 miles from Wadena. Expect a rural setting with occasional wildlife or insects.

No loud parties or unapproved gatherings.

Basic linens are provided, but guests are welcome to bring their own for comfort.

***All areas are accessible for use; please be advised that the bathrooms and showers are situated within the same building but are accessed via an external entrance.

*** The cabin is located near a small campground where you might see a few campers, mostly on weekends. If you have friends with RVs or campers, feel free to invite them to join you!

Guests are welcome to enjoy the kayaks and rowboat provided, along with life jackets for safety. Please note: swimming in the lake is not allowed due to insurance restrictions. Fishing is catch-and-release only, and we ask that you use artificial bait to help protect the fish during release.

There’s a $25 pet fee per stay.

To make your stay more comfortable, don’t forget to bring any personal items you might want—like an extra blanket or your favorite pillow. I don’t provide heavy blankets by default since I can’t launder them between every guest, but I’m happy to offer them upon request.
