Adventure Cottage at Lake Whitney

Lake lovers' paradise and angler dream. The cottage is a short walk from the popular park locals call; Hippy Point, which is a great place to put in Kayaks, cliff jump, or simply relax in the water. Juniper Cove marina is less than a mile from the cottage for those guests who want to bring their boat. White Bluff Resort has two golf courses just 3.7 miles away from the property. Adventure cottage is a casual one bedroom, one bath fully stocked guest house we hope to share with golfers, anglers, kayakers, boaters, and all lake enthusiasts. Once the sun goes down, guests can relax around the fire pit or enjoy the covered porch and gardens.

Get Away

I enjoyed my stay. Hosts were very nice and helpful. It was a convenient place to stay in order to visit my sister and her husband. Surrounding neighbors very nice. I had everything I needed.

Loved our stay here.

The place was perfect and just what we needed. They had a bottle of wine and snacks for us upon arrival. The host checked in with us before arrival and was available for any questions.

Beautiful getaway with amazing hosts

The stay was comfortable and clean. The hosts were very nice and helpful. A short walk down the road and you're at Lake Whitney. I definitely will stay again if I'm in the area! Don't hesitate to book its a beautiful place.

Cute Cottage!

Ideal for just my husband and I. Loved the side deck and yard, dogs loved it too. Perfect for a quick get away close to an event we attended. Great air conditioning, which was very much needed in 104 degree weather! Quiet, clean and comfortable.

Awesome little cottage

Robin was nice, courteous and non intrusive. She was a text away and very helpful throughout our stay. The gift basket they had waiting for us was so perfect! We would recommend this place to anyone. Great accommodations.

Amazing homw away from home

It was a perfect little house. Plenty of room to move around. Has a amazing porch to drink your coffee or tea on, and enjoy the friendly cat that comes to greet you. Beautiful little quiet home. Will not regret it

Our Stay at Adventure Cottage

What a sweet little cottage! My husband and I had a wedding to attend in the area and this was the perfect location. Cottage had everything we needed. Location is in a quiet neighborhood and the hosts were available if we needed anything. We loved the little houses in the garden area built by Quinton! We plan to return, when we have more time, to check out the lake!

Stay to Take Care of Family business

Cozy cottage with nice porch

My husband and I stayed in the cottage for 5 nights while visiting his sister in Whitney. It was very clean and reasonably well-appointed, and the bed was quite comfortable. The best feature was the side porch, which looked out on a lovely little wooded garden. The landscaping, lighting, and water feature made the space feel very cozy. We spent each morning and evening there. The main house is closer to the cottage than the photos suggested, but it still felt very private. The lake is just a short walk away, and there are many dirt roads/paths for hiking around. The kayaking was lovely and there were lots of nice places for fishing. Our hosts were very responsive and went out of their way to assure that we were happy guests. I would definitely stay there again.

Amazing cottage

This cottage is so much better than it says on the listing. Pictures don't do justice for this beautiful place. We absolutely loved everything! The hosts are amazing and so very thoughtful. They supply everything and even have several complimentary items waiting for you. We highly recommend it, and we know that we found our permanent vacation place on Lake Whitney.

Exceeded our expectations

My wife and I were looking for a place to stay in the Lake Whitney area for a long golf weekend on short notice. We found this little gem for a nice affordable price - This cottage had EVERYTHING we needed - living and kitchen area, bedroom and bathroom were all excellent. Nice porch - plenty of fans and a great AC unit. We especially appreciated the extra touches - water bottles in the refrigerator - xbox and lots of DVD's to watch from among fairly recent titles - also bug spray and sun screen were especially helpful for our golf rounds and nice easy walking access to the lake. I would recommend the cottage for couples or smaller families looking for a quiet place that has everything needed to enjoy their stay. Kayaks were made available but we ultimately chose not to use due to time constraints. Easy drive to Lake Bluff for the courses and Whitney for eating - The Country Cafe there is the bomb... We will definitely stay again Thank you!

For years I was tied to the DFW metroplex for work. My family and I spent every weekend we could booking VRBOs/AirBNB on any lake we could find within driving distance. We loved to fish, kayak, and explore the lake. We used to dream of the day we might live by the water and enjoy a true lake life. Now we are and we want to open up our space to share with other lake enthusiasts on their journey.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The neighborhood is typically quite with low traffic. On the weekends there is more traffic and events, so it is not uncommon to hear fireworks and children playing. My primary residence is on the same property and is pretty close to the cottage. We both work at home remotely so we will be on site. The cottage is a private unattached dwelling with ample parking for boats.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

This property is comfortable. In our experiences booking short term rentals we really only cared about three things; property had to be clean, comfortable bed, and the shower needed to have good water pressure. After three layers of sunscreen, lake water, and fish bait; a good shower was a must! A porch for sipping coffee in the morning and a fire pit to end the day made for an ideal weekend getaway. This property delivers all of that plus a great location.
