This was our second year staying here for the Ironfest. We enjoy Apple Blossom Inn. It is quiet and close to restaurants and the ferry. We would recommend Apple Blossom.

My room was adequate. Good location. Good access to town and shore side. Furniture and lighting arrangements poor. Room was clean though. Had good time exploring Mackinaw City and the Lighthouse.Wrong sign outside. Hard to locate. Updates needed on outside.

We booked this property for a last minute get away and we were pleasantly surprised! The room was cute and clean. The property owner was responsive and helpful. Parking was great and it was wonderfully situated close to shopping & restaurants. We could easily walk everywhere we wanted to go. The bathroom could use updating, but that maybe in the works as it sounds like the property may have changed hands recently? This isn’t the Ritz-Carlton nor should people expect it to be. It is quaint, priced well, and very conveniently located. Will definitely stay again!

The location was great. The room was not very clean, the carpets weren't vacuumed, and there was mold on the shower curtain, and the room smelled horrible when we first got in. They didn't have sheets that fit the queen size bed so they used two smaller sheets overlapped to try and cover the mattress. The worst part was the floor had floorboards missing under the carpet. And as someone with a disabiy who walks with a cane, I almost injured myself multiple times even while trying to be very careful. Very un safe.

The room itself was worn and dirty near the beds. The door weather stripping is missing, allowing bugs to wander in. The floor in front of the door is warped so badly, my wife was unable to open the door by herself. The window air conditioning, has lost its ability to cool. Coffee maker is cheap and filthy, also wasn’t emptied from the last unsuspecting customer. We will never stay in that dive ever again.

Experience!

The room was not what we were expecting. The flooring was very soft and uneven we were sinking into the floor. The bathroom was not clean, we were scared to shower and when we did we wore shower shores that we had to go spend extra money on. Overall the room was a very great location and we would book again if improvements are made.

Filthy

This site should be removed from VRBO. Very nasty. Had to bleach the tub, and disinfect the floor and bedding. The pictures do not do it justice - as it deceives the renter of what they end up getting. Very-very filthy.

Needs Work - Avoid

Has had some updates but doors and floors need replacing. You sink into holes in the floor!!! It smelled like smoke and molds. Stains on the carpet and ceiling. The internet never worked and when we tried to get it fixed could never reach anyone. Only use if desperately needing a place to stay…

Great location, disapponted.

Overall impression - the best part of this room was the great location. It is a motel room and our towels/ linens were only changed once for a 3 day stay. (no laundry facility) The room could used additional updates (dated furniture and bathroom). Our shades (near the bathroom and on street level) had missing rows and people could see right into the room. Had to put up our own temporary system to block views from the outside into the room. Bathroom could have been cleaner.

Property was VERY mIsleading!!

Not at ALL like the pictures on line! When we contacted the property manager she was Rude and made it sound like We were the problem. We did nit stay at this property. We had to find another place to stay and was not refunded our money. There we 6 Toilets outside around the corner of the building just down from the room we were supposed to stay in !! No view of the Mac. Bridge as they said there would be... It was not a place we would recommend!!!

Do some research - Not too bad

I booked this originally thinking it was a little cabin somewhere, I didn't think motel rooms would even be on VRBO. I was a bit disappointed when I realized, but we gave it a shot. The location was spectacular, loved being able to walk to all the shops and for coffee. The room, not great. The 2 beds were totally different, one was so springy/bouncy and the other was more stiff/supportive. The bathroom shower had some mold looking spots in the tub so we didn't use the shower. The back window facing other homes did not have a full curtain so we had to use a blanket we brought to cover it up. It didn't ruin the trip, we had a great time overall, just would stay somewhere else next time.

Did not end up staying here

Reached out to property manager the night before to get address and code for entry. Wanted it early because service was spotty in the UP where we were coming from. Was told I would get the code the day of our check in once housekeeping was completed. Check in is 4pm and it was about 3:30 and still had not heard from manager with code. We had found the place which looked on the outside to be a pretty dumpy motel which I would not have guessed from the pics. Location is great but so are many many other places to stay in that area. Finally at about 3:40 I was given the access code after reaching out again and told we could enter any time after 4pm. By then I had already booked another place to stay down the road because of the poor communication and lack of friendliness from property manager. So I cannot speak for the inside of the place since we did not stay but judging from the previous few reviews would have probably been disappointed too.
