We enjoyed our stay at The Dogwoods. The house was mostly clean upon checkin, a maverick cup was left behind by the host, and the Kitchen counters had a lot of dead fruit flies all around (see photo). They were easy to clean up with a vacuum but was difficult to find a good sanitizer to disinfect the counters. The home otherwise was clean and spacious. You can tell they love dogs, they left a doggie basket near the door with toys, poop bags, harness, cloths, and treats. I didn’t bring my dogs but one of our last minute guest decided to bring their service animals, the listing said nothing about needing to let them l know of dogs were coming, and I didn’t see a check box when booking, also I wasn’t sure if my friends were coming when booking either. After checkout, we got multiple text from the host, one mix up about moving a bed (different property, than the one we stayed in) and going to charge us to move it back… once that worked itself out, I got a message asking about dogs… I didn’t realize I needed to tell them, but said yes, I had 2 registered service dogs with me. The host then went back on forth with me about ADA law, and asked for documentation on the service animals which is NOT allowed under the law. We provided the documents but did state it was against the law. In the end they didn’t charge us for the service animals but it was a fight. Overall I would stay here again.
