7 Spruce Lodge is a welcome retreat with breathtaking views from every room. Our 6 bedroom/ 5 bathroom home has over 5000 square feet of finished interior space. It's a custom built, timber frame home that was completed in 2019.
This private residence is located just 10 miles from the quaint village of Watkins Glen on the South East side of Seneca Lake, in Burdett, NY. 7 Spruce Lodge is surrounded by 4-acres of secluded woods in the heart of the Seneca Lake wine trail. This vacation rental has its own private boat slip, sun deck, and boat dock with over 300 feet of lake frontage.

Wine Tour Getaway

We could not have found a nicer place for our family to stay for the wine tour. It was the perfect location and the perfect house.

Wonderful lake house. 8 adults, 6 children (3-10), 2 infants (both about 15 months): 17 total. We enjoyed the dock for swimming & fishing, kayaking, the hot-tub, and adequate room to spread-out. The house was excellent; clean, good working order, great decor and architecture! Kids enjoyed the large garage and driveway. Plenty of gorge hikes. 10 out of 10!

Fantastic family house!

We enjoyed our stay! From the front blacktop for the little ones to ride their scooters and draw with chalk to the back dock, the house didn’t disappoint. This is a great house for large family’s Location was great!

Beautiful Seneca Lake House

We stayed for one week in mid June and had an excellent time. The house easily and comfortably accommodated our family of 10 adults. The house is immaculate and very well maintained and has everything you will need. The attention to detail in the house is impressive. The location is perfect…beautiful views, wineries, breweries and restaurants near by. So much to do in the area…we rented a pontoon boat for the week, used the Kayaks and paddle board, went swimming off the dock and hiked the Watkins Glen Gorge Trail. The property is close to Watkins Glen for provisions. Definitely one of the best places we have stayed for our family vacation.

Truly spectacular house

Family vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation! House was clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of space for everyone!!! Great location near wineries, restaurants and anything else you may need. This is the second time we stayed here and would highly recommend.

Spectacular Home!

We rented this home to celebrate a group of us turning 60 and it was fantastic! The house had all the accommodations needed and was spotless. The location was a short walk or drive to shopping, wineries, restaurants and the state park. We had some rain but it didn’t damper our spirits we still had a fabulous time!

80th Birthday Family gathering

We had a wonderful stay. House was exactly as seen on pictures. We visited several wineries, all within 10 mins of the house. Our only disappointment was that the house driveway is steep and when ice covered we could not get up the hill to leave and missed some scheduled axe throwing. Looking forward to visiting again in warmer weather.

6 couples fall weekend getaway.

Our group has stayed in many top rated properties and this one was right up there. It was very clean, great location, wonderful amenities with a fabulous view. We went on a wine tour and hiked the gorge trail. Both are must-dos. I highly recommend this property and would love to go back perhaps in the summer next time to take advantage of the water sports. A wonderful fall weekend spent at this awesome property. Thank you.

Great house, unbeatable location

This was our first trip to the Finger Lakes, and we had an amazing time at Spruce Lodge. There were 13 of us ranging in age from 10-70+. The house was very clean and the furniture and beds were comfortable and well-kept. We were nervous about the change in ownership that occurred just before our arrival, but the new owners and property managers went out of their way to make everything go smoothly and to respond promptly to any questions. The location is absolutely perfect; besides the lake itself, it is just down the road from restaurants, wineries, and Watkins Glen. We enjoyed blueberry picking, hiking, shopping, and a schooner trip on Seneca Lake. We hope to return soon!

Lake House Summer Retreat

This amazingly beautiful and well-stocked house on Lake Seneca met all expectations plus some! The location of the house was great, as it was close enough to the town of Watkins Glen and the State Park, but just far enough away to feel like you were "away from it all". Plus there were wineries, breweries and distilleries all within a short drive. Being right on the lake was amazing and with the available paddleboards and kayaks, it made being on the lake so very enjoyable. Susan was very communicative and helpful throughout the process and our stay. The house had everything you would need and was very clean and comfortable. Our group had 11 people ranging from age 2 to 85 and all had a great time! I would highly recommend this beautiful for any time of the year and look forward to returning sometime soon!

Excellent Home with just one drawback

This house is the best house we have visited. The only issue was water and it was a big issue for us. The water smelled like sulphur. Hot tub was not cleaned when we arrived. The new owners are really corporative they gave us place to shower 4 miles away which was a saving grace. All three days we had to go there for shower. Hopefully, they put new water filtering system soon so people do not suffer as we did. The hot tub was immediately cleaned and was ready for next day. So full points to owners who are dealing with new home blues. They also gave us 10% refund on our stay which was really nice of them. Overall, great house just giving 4 stars only because of water issue and hot tub. I would definitely want to visit again once there is a new water filtering system. Thank you!
