We enjoyed the house and location. I was disappointed that there were some bugs throughout the kitchen, drawers, under sink, some cabinets. The bedrooms were all comfortable, but the shower doors in all three master rooms came off their tracks, inconvenient. On a far lesser note, none of us could figure out how to operate any of the TV's. Island Time - 2024

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not good. House was in bad shape, needed some repairs which we reported, and no one from maintenance came AS I told your staff, the house should not have been available for rent in this condition.VERY DISAPOINTED

A great getaway with your pets

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great house. It’s spacious with a small view of the ocean. It’s also right across from a public beach’s access point. The only downside of its location is that it is right behind a small hotel. The house had a lot of great amenities like a hot tub, heated pool, and a poker table. However, we wished it had smart tvs to have movie night or watch sports. We had to hook up our laptop to the tv, which was inconvenient. The WiFi was also too weak to use it. But don’t get me wrong, this was a great house and we had a fantastic time. We would definitely rent again. Property management team were top notch.

The only problem we had was the day we got their our pool was green someone did come the next day and put chemical in that dis clear it up fairly quickly the man said it was due to flood waters, but the neighbors both had crystal clear pools. My opinion it should have been done before I got there for the price we paid to stay for a week.the pool was a big thing with the house so not having it for a day of our stay did stink.management did not mention anything about the pool or that they would be having a man stop by unexpected But besides that everything was awesome! The house was big enough and had everything we need as a family. Would recommend

Wonderful stay

Big, Close and full of Deck

Reviewer Comments: if you are a fan of sitting outside sipping your morning coffee or your evening "tea" this is the spot for you...ample bedrooms, seating areas and bathrooms made this an easy stay for my crew. 3 minute walk to the beach, 5 minutes to two great restaurants, the YMCA and within 10 minutes you are at any grocery or convenience store needed...highly recommend...the management company is highly attentive, very communicative and easy to work with...large heated pool and hot tub round out the amenities...highly recommend.

Great time at Island Time!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Island Time is a great property. Very clean, awesome layout and great location. The house has all new decking on both sides of the house. The street side (ocean side)was bit noisy as it was bike week for the first few days and then hot rod week. Both events provided great people watching time from the top deck. The slider on the top deck really needs some tlc as it was difficult to open as was the shower door in the top master. It appears that the interior has been recently painted and newer flooring. The pool and hot tub are great. The only thing lacking was a fenced in yard for the dogs. Would totally recommend staying at Island Time.

Family Time at Island Time

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family enjoyed our week in Nags Head staying at Island Time. The house needed some upgrades but overall it worked for us. We had 2 volleyball players unhappy because the net area had not been mowed and they were unable to play. The heated pool and hot tub were both a hit with the grandkids. The heated pool was worth the $250 however when I read that there was a "free heated pool special" for the month of April, I was not happy. The location of the house was perfect for us. Unfortunately, Nags Head Pier was closed but we were in walking distance to ice cream and a nice restaurant. Overall, its a wonderful place for a family of 10.

The interior was updated and well taken care of. The King mattresses in the 3rd floor bedroom and the 2nd floor bedroom should be replaced, the felt worn out. The exterior window on the 3rd floor leading out to the deck had rotten wood on the bottom right side & a gaping hole in the siding. The home is convenient to the fishing pier, beach and restaurants. Beach Realty was extremely helpful and called to check on our stay. The goody bag was a nice touch and extremely thoughtful. Thank you Beach Realty, we will be back soon!!

House was amazing but reality company came up short

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were traveling with several dogs and babies so we planned our stay carefully. Paid for early check in. Called the Wednesday before and got confirmation. When nearing the latest early check in time called realtor. Was told that former employee messed up reservation and they would call me back as soon as the talked to housekeeping. Two hours later I called again. Previous agent had done nothing. Was told to go to property and stay in pool area until house was ready. Housekeeper was very apologetic but said they were called 10 minutes earlier. So not only did we miss out on a day on the beach, but we had to deal with dogs and babies. Next day spoke to manager who was very apologetic and promised to deliver bagels at 9 the next morning. Bagels were delivered around 11 AFTER I called to ask about them. Hope to rent the house through another company next year. Yes they did refund early check in.

Very few houses allow more than 2 dogs, so this house was ideal to accommodate the pets from two families traveling together. Kids loved Surfin Spoon just a few houses down. I have to echo prior comments about the beds, all except the queen bed were extremely uncomfortable (worn, creaky, sunken in). Pool turned green from the tropical storm, and was reported to the realty company but no one came out to check it before we left. It was disappointing not to be able to use the pool our last day given the beach was closed for swimming. Overall, a really nice trip and we'd rent this house again assuming mattresses were replaced.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we had a fun stay with family but some things in the house need attention. All the mattresses need to be replaced except the Queen which was the only good one. The bunk bed should also be replaced. The kitchen and bathrooms were pretty clean but the dishwasher had mildew and at least one of the showers also has mildew. The top floor master carpet is a little dingy, and the overall home can use a good deep clean, carpets and doors, for example. Guests should know that the pool doesn’t have a shallow end for littles so bring swim aids for young children. The location was good, close to the beach and pier, the Wrights museum, and near the dunes where we enjoyed flying kites. If they fix these issues it will be a really great option for a large family.

Family Vacation

Upon arriving, we found the driveway and outdoor shower area muddy and dirty. The house was clean, attractive, and even though pet friendly, smelled great and no dog hair. Kitchen was well equipped. The elevator didn’t work, but we were told in advance. We didn’t have TV service-no movie channels nor on demand the last 2 days. Tried calling but no service. The TV in the basement didn’t work. Unable to play foosball cause no balls. Pool and hot tub were great! We enjoyed our stay. Should be compensated for the elevator and TV though.

Vacation 2023

Has to get an electrician in to fix the game room recepticals there was no power thereThe TV in the game room didn't work, dog poop outside the sliding door to go to the pool. Obviously some maintenance needs to be done to the deck upstairs. The beds were not comfortable. Location was good, weather was terrible, left before week was up.

Elevator was worth the extra cost for age 62+ guests. Kitchen was equipped better than most and everything was in working order. If available for our desired week next year, we will definitely re-rent. Only negatives ... When I inquired about baby equipment, I was told that none was included, resulting in me renting some items that were already in the house. Beds were not comfortable for some, but I realize that is a very personal preference.

Ideal for our family

Being near the beach access was ideal and since it was the winter there was little traffic and noise. We enjoyed using the hot tub and having two living room areas. Kitchen was the perfect size and had everything we needed for the week. We appreciated the welcome bag and were able to settle in quickly. Having the beds made was wonderful since we arrived late in the evening.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There are several issues with this rental: There is no fenced in dog area as stated in the description. The rocky area for dogs is unacceptable. Dishwasher is moldy and rusty cold not use. Oven appeared to have had a fire did not look safe to use. There is food debris (and dog slobber) on the walls and cabinets in the kitchen area. Couch in livingroom reeks of dog and needs to be sanitized. All mattresses need to be replaced except the twin singles. We will not do this rental again!

Loved this house!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved Island Time! Distance to beach access, pier & Surf & Spoon ice cream, along with the nice sized heated pool, made our beach week very enjoyable. Doggy area could have been larger, but our pets were still happy to be with us! We normally like to try different houses, but we may come back to Island Time! The only complaint would be the house could use some TLC. It shows its age.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Was a bit disappointed with the location. Quite loud with trucks/cars revving engines. Felt like we were on a cruising strip. Much preferred our stay in Duck the last time we visited the Outer Banks.

Island Time

Great house with lots of space. Good pool and lots of decking. Close walk to the beach. Good restaurants and eateries nearby. Downside was the dog hair from previous occupants had not been vacuumed and there were some repairs needed to the deck railing and staircase. However they fixed the issues on Tuesday.

Not return to property in future.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Checked in on Saturday. Call property mgmt. on Sunday to report several TV's were not working properly. Told they would put in work order. No one ever contacted me again. Too bad it was a cold week with few chances to enjoy beach weather. So, TV became more important. Didn't really seem to matter to Prop. Mgr.

Nice but not as good as last year

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Last year the house was pristine. Clean, fresh and smelled good. This year, not so much. House cleaning needs major improvementsDirty utensils - noticeable by opening the drawer Baseboards not clean Bathrooms not clean Deck off kitchen is dangerous - loose boards and supports Nail coming through floor in kitchen by the deck door Serious "sink hole" in kitchen by the deck door - been there over a year 3rd floor sliding door doesn't shut or lock All sliding door tracks are filthy and full of dead flys and bugs Pool is dirty Oven controls are cracked Oven door seal has lost integrity - evidenced by the streaks inside the window Blankets and comforters are dirty. Some comforters are torn. Looks like the owners don't care anymore or the property managers need a new cleaning crew. I would recommend this property if the cleaning was improved. I haven't decided if I will stay here for a 3rd year.
