Hill Street House is the quintessential river-town residence, located within walking distance of Fountain City's quaint downtown, legendary pubs, and riverfront, but just far enough from the highway and trains to still get a good night's sleep. Perched snuggly on the bluffside overlooking the Mississippi River, you'll see an ever-changing panorama of river boats, barges, and birds in flight against a backdrop of Minnesota bluffs in the distance and a jumble of rooftops below. Guests have access to the entire upper floor of this two-story duplex, as well as outdoor spaces, including a private deck with river views and the adjacent side lot/fire-pit area, also with excellent views of the river and the town.

Children and dogs are both welcome! We provide kids' dinnerware, books and toys, highchair, and a pac-n-play. Dog water/food bowls are also provided.

There are two guest bedrooms--each with a queen-size bed and spacious closets--a full bathroom, a well-appointed kitchen for preparing meals, a cozy living room, a separate office with workspace, and convenient laundry facilities. In the unlikely event that you tire of the captivating scene out the window, we supply plenty of games, books, puzzles, and WIFI. Stylish décor compliments the vintage hardwood floors and historic feel of this fully-renovated home.

Historic Fountain City is located on the Great River Road National Scenic Byway, just 10 minutes from downtown Winona, near galleries, shops, wineries, breweries, museums, and endless outdoor recreation and scenic beauty.
