It was a perfect house for our family. Our stay was for our son’s wedding and we had the 2 yr old flower girl stay with us and the game room was perfect for her.

Your home was the PERFECT weekend getaway! It was very spacious for all our family Christmas games we had planned!! The kitchen was well stocked as well as the towels & wash-clothes which is always a plus for me! Thank you for sharing your home and making memories!

Matt was a geat host making sure we had everything we needed. The house was in a great location for all of our events at AAMU. It was spacious and very comfortable for our family. We enjoyed the game room and had a family competition night.

Great space

Close to everything, clean and nice amenities. Could use some large bowls and more kitchen towels for those who plan on cooking. Coffee station was nice, fans in the closets were awesome and loved the games downstairs. Would definitely stay again!

Great place to stay in Huntsville

This was a great house for our extended family. It was a perfect location making it easy for us to get to restaurants and activities. There was ample parking for 3 cars. Our host was very responsive to any of our needs. We would stay here again.

Was what we needed.

We had to get out our house for a few days to have some work completed and this place was close to the neighborhood. Nice spot but I wish the listing on the VRBO website had the location closer to actual location.

Beautiful House, Great location

The Governor's Mansion is beautiful. Very clean and had everything we needed. Matt is so nice and very responsive to any questions we had. Definitely will stay here again.

Would book again

The house was great, had a good layout and nice yard. The beds were comfortable and clean and the decor was nicely updated. Only cons are the tub in the main bathroom needs to be replaced, the bottom of tub is in rough shape. Also, the street is one of the busiest in Huntsville, however the house is tucked back a good ways so we were not annoyed with the traffic. Overall, a great home to rent and I would definitely rent again!

Our time at the Southern Mansion

The property was great considering the time of year. March is a drab month. All the rooms were spacious and clean. Game room was used by all and nice to open to the outside. Liked the multiple living rooms. Plenty of dishes, cookware and utensils. One down side was the check out time being 10am. It was a lot to move out 8 people and clean up. And the location is on a busy street. But upside, easy to get to everywhere we needed to be. They did let us check in an hour early, which we desperately needed. 3pm vs 4pm. All in all a solid 4.5

Fine home - needs a little TLC

The house was fine, excellent layout for small group get together. Evidence of previous visitor smoking inside. Just enough TP to get by. Time to get dust out of corners, off blinds, under beds. Touch up paint. Typical of Short Term Rental, they need more work than long term rentals.

Very Disappointing-Dirty!

When we arrived, the owner said there was a huge party the night before and that the floors may be sticky because the cleaners washed them 3 times. We had to leave immediately for a dinner meeting, and when we arrived back at 9:00 pm, found the house was unacceptable. There was an unknown brown substance smeared on the bedroom door, sticky floors throughout the house, hair on the pillow, unknown substance and a piece of metal on the bed, and remnants of rolling papers and weed on the nightstand. Couldn't leave at that time as we were from out of town and had no transportation or other place to go. I notified owner immediately and he was apologetic and said they would come clean in the morning. We chose not to stay the next night as it was really uncomfortable sleeping in beds that could not possibly have been changed, in rooms that smelled of weed. I know the party the night before wasn't his fault, but we should have been notified beforehand and been given the chance to cancel and make other arrangements.
