The host was responsive to all requests and questions that we had. We had an issue with the sink and the person she sent to fix it was very professional and friendly.The space was very comfortable, but there is quite a bit of wear and tear that needs to be updated. The kitchen is equipped for Asian cooking. The pots and pans are not conducive for other cuisines. Having said all that we really enjoyed our stay, and would recommend it to others.

Older property, great neighborhood with Market close by. A lot of stairs to upper floor residence, so be prepared to haul luggage up 4 flights of stairs. It was nice to have washer and dryer available, kitchen lacked a few things that would have made it perfect- towels, washcloth and potholders. Overall, it was a pleasant place- wouldn’t call it upscale

The apartment was very nice with tons of useable space. The kitchen was well-outfitted with cooking ware for a week-long stay. A couple of items to note--fair amount of stairs up to the unit but manageable and traffic at the intersection is a little tricky to navigate so we suggest coming up Canal to Arizona. Trying to get through the other way takes a few lights. This is a free-standing house with an open gate, right next to the bank. It took us a few minutes to figure this out upon arrival. Very comfortable for 3 of us and could easily fit more. Bistro Aracosia is down the street and has really good food. Overall, great VRBO for the price. Excellent communication with host and would stay again!
The Kreeger Museum is nearby--great collection.
Washington Nat'l Cathedral--about 10 min. drive.
MLK, Jr. Memorial--about 15 min. drive.
Washington Monument on the Mall.

Our experience with this rental was extremely disappointing. The apartment was on the third floor, not the second as listed, and from the outside, it looked abandoned — with rotting wood, an unkept yard, and piles of debris everywhere.Inside, the furniture was damaged and missing legs, the television didn’t work, and boards covered the skylight, leaving the space dark and uncomfortable. The overall condition was unsafe and completely unfit for guests.We were so dissatisfied that we did not stay at the property and instead booked a hotel at our own expense. To make matters worse, the owner refused to issue a refund, despite the clear misrepresentation of the property’s condition.This was a very disappointing and stressful experience, and I would strongly caution anyone considering this rental to look elsewhere until significant repairs and updates are made.

The apartment was just as described. It’s in a nice area. Spacious living area and bedrooms. Basic provisions. Shopping and restaurants are close by. Great communication and gracious host. Only thing of note for me is that it’s at the top of a couple flights of stairs. If you have a wife and daughter like me who pack everything they own for even a short trip, that may matter to you. The stairwell is at least decorated with the host’s beautiful artwork and it’s worth admiring.

Convenient, quiet neighborhood

The apartment had plenty of room for three of us and in a nice neighborhood. We were very pleased with the cleanliness but surprised by the number of stairs. The kitchen could be better stocked and more organized, but overall, we would recommend this apartment for convenience when visiting Washington DC.

I tried to call the owners multiple times the first day and no one replied. The parking is a hot mess in the rear where the apartment is located. It says it is upstairs, yes that is true, however they do not tell you the two flights of stairs. I had people with me that struggled with stairs. Kitchen has outdated appliances, and no baking sheets.

Inaccurate Rental Description

Rental did not state that apartment was on the 3rd level and would be extremely difficult for persons with disabilities or elderly with joint pains. Apartment was rundown with multiple visible tears on leatherette sofas. Mattress was hard and uncomfortable, where my wife would wake up to Aches and panic. Didn’t have a coffee machine or refills for the espresso machine. When asked, rentor didn’t have a clear idea as to getting access to local tv channels. TV consisted of an old Sony tube and all HD broadcasting were blurry. Later version tv in bedroom was not connected to cable provider.

DC Experience

The property was in an excellent location and neighborhood with easy access to the Metro system. I was easily able to explore many sites and attractions in DC. The rental was spacious and comfortable with private parking.

Ideally located and spacious accomodation

We were ideally located for our 10-day stay, using both our car (parking in the driveway, it was a blessing!) and the bus line. Great Belgian restaurant 2 blocks away, and many more conveniences in the area. We had a great stay

Good location, very clean

The property has parking area in the front and back. You don't have to park on the side of the road. It is next to a bank. Starbucks and bus stop are both across the street from the property. It is close to restaurants. Rooms were very clean and has full-size refrigerator. The master bedroom is large. Whenever I had a question, the manager responded immediately. The only downside that I saw is the unit is on the third floor. I highly recommend this place. Thank you!

Great location

Just as advertised - a great location in DC in a quiet neighborhood. The only noises were the snow plows! Walking distance to a small food store, Starbucks, and several restaurants. The large central room provided plenty of space to work during a 2-day snow that shut down much of DC offices. Very comfortable environment.

Clean Nice Neighborhood

Apartment very clean is bare bones Has just enough dishes pans etc. The apartment is extremely large high ceilings and natural light! Loved the neighborhood felt safe walking around. Bus stop in front made getting around easy. However lots of stairs up to apartment may not be suitable for those who have issues w/stairs or pack heavy. Easy and prompt communication. I would stay here again!

The family felt at home

Cute apartment and for the most part matched the description. The host was very amenable and responsive when needed which was not much as the apartment was well taken care of. We arrived earlier than planned and there was no issue which we appreciated. My family loved the space and felt at home in it. If you’re renting a car stick with a CRV or smaller as parking is there but it’s tight. There is a bus stop right outside which we did use and it was convenient. There is also a small store across the street which helped for small groceries. We appreciated the stay and would definitely stay here again!

Home away from home

Quiet neighborhood, easy Metro access

This apartment was very nice. My family and I enjoyed our time here. There was very easy access to a bus stop so we could get into the city. It took about an hour one way. The property manager was very friendly and responsive. Thanks!

Wash DC Palisades

The location was ideal for anyone visiting DC. We attended our daughters graduation at American University and it was a quick ten minutes drive. The place was clean and everything as described. We would definitely stay there again! Communication was also quick and responsive. We had no issues arise during our stay. Also, there is a Starbucks conveniently located across the street!
