Enjoy a private and peaceful vacation with family and friends with spectacular mountain views.

The home has stunning views of the Sneffel's Mountain Range, large floor to ceiling windows and an open floor plan. It's tucked away in the hillside, offering a private and cozy setting.

Enjoy the wrap around deck for leisure and taking in extraordinary Southern exposure sunsets. The home is reminiscent of fire towers and tree houses, with BIG views and privacy.

The open free flow floor plan will comfortably accommodate your group, sleeping and dining up to 6 people. The home is family friendly, with 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. Bedrooms are located down a staircase and the living area on the top floor. The entire home has been remodeled with new flooring, furnishings and a fresh coat of paint, throughout. Enjoy luxurious bedding, pillows, comforter, duvet and cozy blankets. We provide laundry detergent and fabric softener. Enjoy, new state of the art LG washer and dryer, with steam. We know this is your time away from the stress that daily life can bring. We want to make it enjoyable and memorable, so please, let us know how we can help?

There are gorgeous hikes, cross country skiing right outside your door. The home is also close to Telluride (1 hr) and Ouray (30 min) and provides great variety for those who want to adventure as well as a tranquil setting and stay for those who want to relax.

NOTE: The elevation is 8,750, so please consider that if you have heart issues. If booking for the winter, please ensure you have an AWD vehicle.

At this time we are making our home pet friendly. There is a non-refundable pet fee of $150.00 per dog, no pets over 50 LBS. We do provide a large crate, water and food bowl. Please follow the pet rules, so that we can keep this home available to pet owners, thank you for your efforts and understanding.

Enjoyed our stay! Very peaceful location. Highlight of our trip was viewing the elk rut in meadows close to property. Enjoyed hearing them bugling at night while in bed. Lots of hiking possibilities close by, as well as scenic drives. Fall is a great time of the year to visit.

We had an amazing time during our one week stay. The house had everything that we needed during our stay. The property is located down a LONG dirt road that is dusty. Would definitely stay again, however, I do suggest an oxygen bottle if you are "out of shape".

Great stay in the San Juans!

Spectacular Night Sky

Our stay in Ridgway was fabulous - enjoyed sitting out on the deck and just admiring the view! Place was super clean, very comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. Would not hesitate to stay again if future trips take us to Colorado!

Amazing!

Remote property, about 20 minutes away from the nearest town. Views from the property and driving in/leaving are all amazing. Very comfortable and cozy space, great place to come back to after a day of sight seeing and or hiking. 5 stars all the way.

Relaxing stay in the mountains with terrific views from porch. We enjoyed relaxing and playing games at the house, with easy access to Ridgway, Ouray and Telluride. Our kids, 9 and 11, loved it

Great getaway!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We fell in love with Ridgway and Ouray. We were pleasantly surprised by the location of the property. We did not expect to be so far from town on a dirt road, but we actually loved the location. The views from the drive and the property are amazing.

Beautiful Property

What a beautiful location. I totally enjoyed sitting on the deck gazing at Sneffels and all the other mountains around it while the sun set. Great location!! Espically great location if you like to hike and get out and about! The owners were easy to communicate with, and they had a caretaker nearby who was extremely helpful and informative. We visited Telluride and Ouray and fell in love with Ridgway.

Beautiful home with even more stunning views

We stayed at the property for 4 days/ 3 nights and loved it!! The house was a great size for 4 adults, and was far enough out of town to have amazing vistas, but close enough that we could go anywhere we wanted without issues. We were a little nervous about not having A/C during a Colorado July but the combination of fans provided and dark shades kept the house very cool and comfortable! The upstairs in particular is lovely, the kitchen was well stocked, and we had a blast!

Ladies Getaway

My mom and I stayed here with two of our best friends for a long girls weekend. What a beautiful home!! So peaceful, clean, super soft sheets and comfy beds, great views, nice kitchen, and we loved listening to the records they had. We even saw some deer around the property in the evening. Our host sent us clear instructions and was quick to respond to a couple questions we had. We will definitely come back here next time we visit Ouray!

Road trip

Location was very nice. Property had tall grass, not enough toilet paper for 5 people stay 3 nights. Only provided 1 extra trash bag for the kitchen. However the shower, washer and dryer were great.

Lovely, simple location

This was a smaller cabin than we expected, but it was perfect for our family of three. The views and quiet surroundings were wonderful. We knew the elevation of the location, and our kiddo has been at elevation, but if you have littles, be prepared to keep an eye on them or choose a different place because the altitude sickness is a possibility. It affected our little guy a bit and we had to spend more time at a lower elevation for him.

A Hidden Gem

The house was very nice. Clean and well taken care of. The location is perfect. You can drive into the bowl of the Snuffel mountain range. Every corner you turn the area is beautiful. The best secret find was Top of the Pines. I have not seen anything like this view. Thanks for sharing. We will be back.

The sunsets!

When we first arrived, we were blown away by the mountain range views on the way up to the property! On arrival, we were a bit concerned because of the condition of the paint on the exterior of the property but once we open the door, we saw that it had been fully redone inside. This is a newer property and so a lot of the “pass it along” things from a longer history of Vrbo guest stays are absent. Things like a wide array of condiments, spices, oils, butter and kitchen tools and pass it along detergent and softener for the laundry (owner left 2 tide style pods for guest use)… But it was very clean and very nice. Some great added touches were the record player and lots of records as well as some puzzles that we made great use of at the dining table. Worthy of a second mention…the deck had phenomenal views of the sunsets as did the entire upstairs! Overall I would say this I a definite recommend that will mature like a fine wine with a bit of time. Thank to the owner for being available to answer questions early in our stay.

Enjoyable and We Will Stay Here Again

We really liked the entry level floor with its open floor plan. The floor length windows made it easy and enjoyable to watch the mountain scenery. The lower level with the bedrooms was neat and had everything we needed. Our host, Tammy was immediately on top of the one issue we had with the property. We will stay here again. The only thing I was disappointed about was that the Dish TV service had many channels but ESPN was not one of them. I also found the driveway entrance difficult to find since the house number was on the garage 15 to 20 feet below road level and you can not see it after dark with you car headlights. There is nothing on the road level to indicate where the downward angled driveway is.

No TV needed

We don't even know if the TV worked. We never turned it on, couldn't stop being mesmerized by the views thru the great bank of windows the house has. Took a little bluetooth speaker, listened to our music, read, gazed, happy-houred, walked our border collie (dog friendly) and had a perfectly chill week. This mountain property is great, very clean, comfortable, sunsets due west from the deck, starry, starry skies with a clear view of the Milky Way. Short drive to Top of the Pines Park with an exceptional view of the entire Sneffels Range. We thoroughly enjoyed and recommend!

The kids have grown up visiting family and vacationing here and we're glad you're able to experience all that we've grown to love.

We love the neighborhood, Elk Meadows, for it's fantastic views, quiet setting and access to amazing experiences. With Ridgway, Telluride, and Ouray within a close distance, it's an incredible location to enjoy. Not to mention all of the site seeing and hiking right outside the door! We go back time and time again to our favorite local spots - Kate's place for breakfast, Top of Pines (right down the road!), the Ouray hot springs, and the Resevoir to name a few.
