The house was perfect for our little family get away. Beds were comfortable and the couches were great for hanging out. The games and game table were also great.

Nice spot for family

Clean, owner very responsive. Nice location by the river. Train tracks nearby, so if you like trains, it’s a plus, but they are loud. Kids enjoyed the arcade game and board games at the home at the home. Short drive to Lava pools.

Beautiful spot away from town.

This is the second time staying at this property. The first time was really nice but this time was much better. It is under new ownership and the amount of amenities added made it much more better. I highly recommend this property...

We loved staying here. Very cozy and all the stuff to cook in the kitchen! Kids enjoyed the river and playing outside. Owners were very kind and friendly to work with!

Cozy home

We had a great stay! The home is super close to town without being in town. The beds were very comfortable! You will definitely hear the trains right out the front but it was not overly distracting, the kids thought it was great! We even saw some wildlife out the back window. There is a lot of games available to play which we really enjoyed.

Cozy Cabin Getaway

We loved staying at this property. It was welcoming and clean upon arrival and the view from the dining room table was perfection. We played some of the provided board games and it felt isolated but was only 5 minutes from town. The owner was quick to respond and we had a wonderful trip. Highly recommend

We were able to have a wonderful winter getaway. The home was super clean, spacious and well stocked so we could cook most of our meals at home. It was such a serene beautiful setting and the views of the river, mountains and horses were spectacular. We enjoyed hearing the train go by. The host was so responsive and warm. We can’t wait to come back in the summer.

Lovely property/ not so lovely train

The property is set in a beautiful location. The scenery is worth the drive. The property manager was responsive and easy to communicate with. The house was well taken care of and the drive to Lava Hot springs was quick and easy to navigate. I wish we had known about the train tracks across the street where no less than 4 trains come through every night and wake you up. Just be prepared for that 🙂

Stopping at the Springs

The accommodations were great, well equipped for longer stays. Coffee and instant oatmeal comprised a good start for our day. Loved the serene surroundings. Even the train was quaint, I slept right through it.

Great place !!!!

We had a great time at this cute little home. It was quiet which We loved… the river and the railroad tracks across the street was also very fun to watch the trains come and go also watched the horses run around the field. Just a peaceful fun home. Had movie nights with the big tv and the wrap around couches The hosts were great we would definitely love to come back. Thanks

The Lava River Cottage offers a full home with all of the amenities. Plus being on two acres next to the river offers a tranquil escape. The mountains and fields offer majestic views and the opportunity to see wildlife. Even the trains passing by offer a unique experience.

The town of Lava Hot Springs is 5 minutes away and offers all of the food, fun, and entertainment you need to enjoy Idaho!
