This picturesque 1850's farmhouse w modern amenities (fr. WiFi to full Kitchen) is all Mountain behind the house! Located on a 2 lane county road in the Catskills Reserve, our historic homestead provides easy access in front while being nestled on 7 acres w a pond for amazing nature and scenery all year. Called to fight in the civil war, its original owner built the home for his wife & kids. Hiking, fishing, apple picking plus more fun nearby, make our Mtn. Farmhouse today your special getaway!
The space
With an artisan fireplace and wide planked wood floors from days gone by, this original farmstead hosts 5-6 with ease; 6-8 comfortably for many guests who've stayed. (Bed layouts/Room space below). Having an ample yard and flat drive right on the road for easy access, these mountain acres host the original carriage barn, outhouse and other out buildings with the pond flowing or freezing with the seasons. Often wild life is easy to see with the foliage changing beautifully throughout the year. Hiking trails and many fun activities thrive nearby, making this the spot for a perfect weekend getaway. With friends or family or simply alone, huge natural rock-outcroppings meet you at the back door as you look up to view gorgeous skies or starry nights set against the mountains behind, nestled comfortably within New York's desirable Catskills Forest Preserve.
Just 3 miles from the gorgeous Shokan Reservoir, this 1712 sq ft. peaceful home is invitingly precious, fully furnished and complete with a full-size kitchen, side deck, BBQ and backyard fire-pit (must mind town ordinances). The farmhouse living room with its original stone fireplace is a heart-warming gathering place in winter and the place year round for watching TV and/or connecting to wifi. Upstairs is the private master bedroom with a separate full bedroom downstairs and additional sleeping space in the back den with its own wood stove and reading space. The dining table seats 6 with ample space throughout the house. Convenient to Woodstock, Phoenicia, New Paltz, Stone Ridge, Saugerties, Kingston. Ski at both Hunter & Bellayre; X-country skiing at NewPaltz, Minnewaska State Park - Hiking, biking, running, rock-climbing, fishing (Esopus Creek 10 minutes away), swimming, tubing, and boating in the summer! Antiques, shopping, great restaurants, picturesque views & waterfalls, all within short drives.

The back study room which is a shared space also sleeps 1 having a day bed that's a proper twin mattress and box spring bed.
1 Trundle in sleeping loft in the study room sleeps 1; Uses a pulley ladder for access
The living room sofa is also comfortable for sleeping 1 - 2 people at most.
Full Kitchen; Full Laundry; 2 Full Baths. 2 living spaces (of which the back study is one) plus front foyer.

CHECK-IN
Check-in on your day of arrival is a one-page check-in that we send via DocHub for easy e-signing via your phones in case you are out and about. This also
generates an arrival email, which provides you our house manager's contact information for any questions during your stay and the keypad's access code for self check-in, which is at your leisure anytime after 4p for having a great time away~

CLEANING:
The Farmhouse is cleaned by a cleaning professional observant of the current recommended best practices for sanitizing and resetting the house for your stay.

Trash must be removed upon departure. (Park requirement)
Other things to note
A cozy get away also so close to all the modern amenities make this the perfect get-away home! I am in the Catskills Park Reserve so everyone is responsible for their own trash removal..easy enough to do... Town fees applied for failure to do so. Let's Keep things beautiful~
