Esta cabaña de troncos se llama Whispering Water debido a las vistas panorámicas de la cascada de agua del río Oswegatchie desde la sala de estar, el dormitorio principal y la terraza.

Pisos de madera en todo. Gran dormitorio principal con cama de matrimonio y ventanales con vistas al río. 2 habitaciones pequeñas, cada una con cama de matrimonio. Aire acondicionado en ambos niveles.

La piscina y la terraza están encaramadas en la orilla del río. El porche con vistas a la piscina y al río está proyectado para sentarse por la noche. Una bañera de hidromasaje para 2 personas en la terraza está disponible durante todo el año.

Perfect 2024 Solar Eclipse Trip

Our stay at Whispering Waters for the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse was amazing! This cabin has it all, and then some. We picked the perfect place! First, Jeanice and Ted are truly warm and caring people. She contacted us a week before our arrival with concerns for us and the traffic issues we may run into on our way up. Additional arrangements were made, and we made the 8 hour trip ahead of all the traffic,issue free! Thank you Jeanice!! We arrived at 2AM and as soon as we opened the truck doors we could hear the water rushing over the rapids in the Oswegatchie river. Fell in love immediately! The stairs to the house were well lit, and when we entered the cabin there was a soft glow from the lights they had turned on or us, and the welcome heat from the pellet stove that had been lit before our arrival. My mother was especially tickled to find the "welcome to the cabin" bottle of wine on the dining room table, which she quickly claimed as hers. We were all tired, but excited to explore the cabin, and were pleasantly suprised to find it is actually much larger than it initially appeared. I really don't know what I can say about Whispering Waters that hasn't been said before. It's all true; thoughtfull breakfast staples in the fridge, huge gorgeous master suite with coffee bar-loveseat- huge bathroom-amazing river view. Tons of space to kick back and relax-porch, deck, hot tub, or just hang out on the point overlooking the river. Hope to visit again, and again! Thank you!!

Perfect Getaway

We absolutely fell in love with this cabin! It was the perfect retreat from the stresses of life. Ted and Jeanice are so friendly and helpful, they made it feel like home. And that view!!! We will definitely be back.

A 5 Star Hotel Experience in a Cabin!

The property is absolutely beautiful and the scenery and views are amazing. The cabin is clean, cozy and stocked with every amenity and then some. You can really tell how much love Jeanice puts into being a hostess. The bathrooms were palatial and beautifully renovated. The master bed was comfy and even the bedroom had an excellent view.

Beautiful and peaceful place

Came up with family for my son’s college graduation. The house is warm and cozy, with a fairy-tale “cabin-in-the-woods” vibe. Our hosts thought of literally everything, even stocking the fridge with supplies for breakfast. I wish we’d been able to stay an extra day or two, just to continue to soak in the views and the sounds of the river. For travelers considering this rental: it is immaculately clean; private; warm; perched on the bank of a river. Great for a romantic or family getaway, or a writer’s retreat. Hosts are kind and generous and never intrusive. Beds are comfortable, and both bathrooms have been fully updated. The sound of the river rushing over rocks is mesmerizing. This is one of the very best vacation rentals I’ve experienced - and our family is well-traveled and has used VRBO for 20 years. Sincerest thanks to our hosts. It just doesn’t get any better.

Perfect in every way. WOW, just WOW

We do not have the words to express how great everything was. The views, the rooms, the attention to detail, the cleanliness, the atmosphere, the sounds the river made. A prefect place to relax and de-stress. Jeanice and Tim thought of everything, yes everything. We have told our friends and will be planning another visit. The owners were so accommodating, so helpful, so informative and genuinely want you to have a lovely experience at their cabin. They stocked the fridge with some staples, the home was CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN and they covered all the bases. My friends and I loved every single thing about this cabin, it’s location and the amenities provided. 100% will be coming back!

This cabin was definately what it says it is and more.very relaxing and cozy definitely stay again..

My wife and I stayed here for our thirty anniversary and she and I absolutely 💯 loved every thing it had to offer. The view and sounds of the water were very humbling. We took trip to cranberry lake which wad also stunning. We also took a trip to Potsdam did some fleamarketing and watched the geese.then headed little farther into town of Malone visited wilder farm and trout river where we took some beautiful photos and then stopped for a quick meal at one of the pizza shops where there bourbon wisky wings were phenomenal. Then headed back relaxed in hot tub and few drinks and fire overlooking river. Thank u bearnic and Ted for a lovely time.

Fantastic experience!

My wife and I stayed here for our 15th wedding anniversary. After reading all the 5 star reviews we had fairly high expectations - we both unanimously agreed that everything far exceeded our expectations. The property was fantastic and meticulously cared for, the view of the river and rapids/waterfall were astounding, and the amenities were better than anywhere we have ever stayed. Small things we never would have expected were provided like a snack basket by the door, a stocked refrigerator, bookshelves with local history, and a stack of split and dried firewood. The fire pit location above the river was amazing! We were able to meet the owners Jeanice and Ted who were very nice and offered tons of suggestions for area activities. If you enjoy walking there is a couple mile country road loop almost entirely along the Oswegatchie river. The fishing was decent as well. All in all this stay ranked among our best ever and we hope to make return trips in the future. Don’t hesitate on this one - it’ll certainly leave a lasting impression. Thank you Jeanice and Ted for sharing this wonderful property and helping to create lasting memories on our anniversary.

Wonderful property

This was a beautiful location with a lot of extras! My husband and I wanted a place where we could go and get away from the stress of every day life. This allowed us to do just that! We took a card and will be scheduling another trip to this home! So worth it!

Home Away From Home

This was an incredibly pleasant week to “get away” for my partner and I. We are two people for whom cleanliness is paramount and we were more than comfortable here with more amenities than you could imagine. The coziness of the cabin and view of the river are not done justice in the photos. Our hosts Ted and Jeanice were more than kind. If you are looking for a peaceful place away from it all where it is more than easy to cook your own meals and just exist peacefully with a beautiful view, this is your spot. Thank you!

Above and beyond

What an incredible find! The hospitality is far beyond what we could have expected! From the fully stocked coffee bar and condiments and spices, to the puzzles and board games and dvd’s, and so much more, we hardly needed to and hardly wanted to leave! Jeanice and Ted are such gracious hosts and even brushed the snow and shoveled the snow around the property and our car for us each day! The scenery is breath taking and ever changing which makes simply looking out the window very exciting! We can’t wait to come back and enjoy the pool and hot tub! Thank you thank you thank you for an incredible getaway!

Wonderful Cabin and Hospitality!

My boyfriend and I went to Whispering Water Cabin for a short winter getaway and were blown away with every aspect of our stay. Jeanice and Ted are excellent hosts and provided everything we could have needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay! We can’t say enough kind things and are looking forward to being able to return in the future.

All I can say… simply AMAZING!!!

My stay at the cabin was simply amazing and that’s an understatement! I drove 5.5 hours from Connecticut and it was worth it. The morning of my drive was stressful due to walking outside to a broken back window of my vehicle. I drove nervously with the plastic placed on there temporarily because it was shredding and holding by a thread. I also got lost for a second upon arrival. All of that stress instantly went away when I was greeted by Ted! Ted was warm, kind and inviting and pointed me to the right direction. When I arrived, I was blown away. As soon as I parked I heard the sounds of the Oswegatchie River. I followed those sounds and it led me to a gorgeous view of the river surrounding the cabin. It was simply breath-taking. I sat there taking it all in with a smile. Entering the cabin was also a breath-taking experience. It was so clean and gorgeous!!! It was also fully stocked with everything you would ever need! The pellet stove was already running when I arrived. The views of the river from the master bedroom were incredible. I spent my time meditating , writing poetry in front of the pellet stove, listening to jazz music provided by the I-pod that is already in the cabin hooked up to speakers. I just want to say that Jeanice and Ted made my stay one of the best experiences that I had in a long time. Jeanice is so kind, sweet, accommodating and informative. I can’t thank them enough! This was a Peace Retreat for me and I felt at peace by the time I left. You have to book a stay and experience an amazing time at a beautiful cabin!!! If I could rate far beyond 5 stars I would. I will definitely be booking again!!
