Located less than an hour from the Wisconsin Dells, this 4-bedroom, 2-bath home offers direct access to fishing on Lake Puckaway, making it the perfect retreat for outdoor enthusiasts, avid fishermen, or anyone seeking some peace and quiet.

We offer a pontoon boat rental for your enjoyment, with the rental price covering the entire duration of your stay - message for details and pricing!

Enjoy your morning coffee on the spacious wraparound deck, or unwind in the hot tub. For evening fun, head to the game room/arcade for some friendly competition. The open-concept living area connects the living room, kitchen, and dining space, making it perfect for family gatherings.

Great location, nice fishing lake. Inside of house was clean and we kept. The outside grounds were not trimmed and grass clippings were all over patio and cement.

Great Spot for Quiet Getaway

This was our first time staying at a vacation rental - generally we do hotel rooms. Our preferences have changed now, as we had a great time staying here! Plenty of room and the house was immaculate upon arriving. The neighborhood was very quiet and just what we needed to spend a few days relaxing. Jocelyn is easy to reach and responds quickly. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Lake Puckaway Stay

Great property to stay at. We really enjoyed the Firepit, Hot Tub, Game Room and the entire house. Big bonus having lots of baby toys for our 10 month old to play with. Big deck with lots of wildlife to watch. Plenty of comfortable furniture inside and out!

Family vacation

Perfect for our extended family of 10. Lots of fishing. Nice large yard and deck for kids to play. Hot tub and pontoon were great. Host is extremely responsive.

Very nice place. Nice quiet place, we had a tournament on Puckaway and Buffalo. It accommodated parking our 3 boats. Great for 5 guys staying there. Thanks again

We had a great time with our 19 year old kids. This place was perfect for our needs as our dogs come with us on trips. This was the perfect location for us all to have a blast. The yard is huge (pictures didn’t do it justice). So many outside gathering spaces for chatting and playing games. The upper deck is huge so the dogs could find shade any time of day. We rented the boat which was so fun to take to the sand bar across the lake. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and the game room was a nice bonus. Really nice dart machine! The weather was too nice outside so we didn’t spend much time indoors. However it was very clean and had EVERYTHING you need. This is the first rental that we didn’t need extra laundry detergent, TP, dish soap, garbage bags, etc. The kitchen had nice pots and pans and I didn’t need to bring anything that I had packed for meal prep. They even had a mandoline slicer! Plenty of nice bath towels and beach towels. The fire pit was nice with wood supplied and marshmallow cookers.The host was super responsive and communicative. Bonus- the neighbor was so nice and helped with tips to navigate the shallow channel and shared some fishing tips.My husband was even invited over for a drink. It just was such a fun time. It’s a great house tucked into a quiet neighborhood that takes pride in their hidden gem properties. We were very happy with our choice to stay here.

Lake Puckaway

The house was really nice and clean. Lots of space for the 6 of us who stayed. Game room and hot tub were used by all. We enjoyed the hot tub most at night when it cooled off a bit. Clear directions were provided for everything. Plenty of towels and firewood were provided. The outdoor patio areas upper and lower could have used some cleaning as well as a lot of over grown bushes and grass. This lake is really weedy and shallow. Had difficulties fishing from the pier at times because of weeds, we did rent the pontoon which came with a full tank of gas and plenty of lifevests, however, unless you are an experienced boater, navigating the extensive amount of weeds can be extremely difficult and challenging. Luckily, most of our group are experienced boaters.

Not worth the money

Pictures show inside well. Outside needs lots of work. The grass was full of ant mounds/ants- front and back yard. Weeds are so over grown which made sitting in the yard unpleasant, and added extra bugs. Kayaks were useable after hosing them down for 30 minutes. One of the life vests was infested with bugs. We managed to find other life vests, thankfully we rented the pontoon boat. The outside of the house had bugs and spiderwebs caked everywhere - not even pleasant to look out the windows. The lake was VERY weedy and fish were scarce we basically had the lake to ourselves. If you want to catch fish don’t bother staying here. Found out afterwards that the lake was treated for weeds which pushed the fish away. Hot tub was green and scummy, tried testing and treating the hot tub but it was to much to work in the short time we were there.. Family member was walking down the steps and one of the boards of the step broke, meaning he fell through the step. The owners came out to fix this the night before we left. While owner was there fixing the step he didn’t bother fixing the front door or hot tub like said he would. Definitely a waste of money!

Montello, WI and Lake Puckaway is the perfect distance from so many attractions in central WI. Not to mention, Lake Puckaway is one of the best fishing lakes in the state. Our home around an hour from the well-known Wisconsin Dells, and also an hour from the state Capital, Madison. If you are interested in challenging yourself to a good hike, Devil's Lake State Park is also within an hour drive.

Having the property and home be as accommodating as possible, is what we aim for. We want our guests to be able to come and enjoy themselves, which means not having to worry about paper towel, hand soap, dish soap, towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, coffee, etc. We are all human and can't remember everything to bring on vacation.
