Amazing Trip and Wonderful Place to Stay!Highly recommend this stay. Jorge was extremely responsive and provided clear, detailed instructions on how everything in the condo worked, which made settling in easy and helped us feel right at home from day one.A lovely bonus was the book collection—books you didn’t even know you needed. The space was so relaxing that I ended up reading three books over our 10-day stay, something I haven’t done in years.Having drinking water provided and connected to the ice maker was incredibly convenient. The patio furniture was excellent—perfect for eating meals or simply relaxing on the balcony while listening to the ocean.There are mini markets nearby for groceries, and a larger supermarket is about a 20–30 minute drive away. A local car rental company is also close by with reasonable daily rates, which is great if you need a vehicle for a day or two to explore.There’s a restaurant onsite, plus plenty of great dining options within walking distance.Overall, an excellent stay and a place I would happily return to. Highly recommend! The sunrise and sunset also can’t be beat.

Great winter get away

We stayed 6 weeks in this property and enjoyed it very much. Everything was as expected. Jorge was very nice and checked in on us several times during our stay. The only thing that could be better…and the reason we gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because there is no large grocery store in the town. The owner told us that there are plans to put one in in the not too distant future. There are, however, several nice stores to get most everything you need…one across the street and another is a short walking distance down the street and around the corner. Thank you Jorge for letting us to stay in your place.

Welcome to Paradise

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful property with our son and his fiance over the week between Christmas and New Year's, and we couldn't have chosen a better location. Playa Juan Dolio is a majestic gem in the Dominican Republic. The apartment is well beautifully decorated and well maintained. The rooms were clean, and the bedrooms spacious and comfortable. After spending our days at the beach, we came back each afternoon for drinks and the sunset on the beautiful balcony. The pictures are stunning. Far from the city and more populated areas of the island, this condo is located right on a quiet beach with numerous restaurants within walking distance. Jorge was wonderful to work with. He was very communicative and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. Before our arrival, Jorge sent me a detailed message of what to expect, safety procedures and local places to eat. He organized a driver, Socrates, to take us to and from the airport, who was punctual and professional. The property manager was waiting for us at the condo to answer any additional questions and arrange activities, if we chose to do more than relax. I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay. We look forward to making this trip a yearly one, and hopefully more!

Couldn't imagine not going back again next year!

This is one of the most beautiful places we have been! Right on the Caribbean Sea, breath taking view and so quiet, so easy to relax. This was our third trip to this destination and each year we come, things change for the better! More restaurants, more nightly entertainment, easy to bank and buy groceries and the local Dominican people are so curtious and friendly. Our accommodations are beautiful and it feels like home only with a much better view. Thanks again to Jorge, Lilibeth and of course, Mr. Socrates. Can't wait to go back again in 2019! Very Happy Canadians from Ontario!

Todo muy hermoso y muy comfortable, en todo momento me senti segura... los trabajadores muy amables y atentos a cualquier necesidad q necesites, y la vista no tiene precio. Love it!!! Amazing view, very comfortable apartments with everything you need, you feel secure in every moment and very friendly workers, I really recomended this place 😉😉😉

Exceeded expectations!

Beautiful apartment. Exceeded our expectations! Very clean, every comfort of home, and fantastic location. Jorge and Lilibeth were so kind , easy to access if needed , and very easy to work with.

Perfect Paradise

Our stay Jorge's Marbella condominium exceeded our expectations on all counts. The apartment is beautiful with a picture perfect view. The balcony is large with both an eating area and a relaxing "lounge" area. Jorge is a pleasure to deal with and has thought about everything you might need to make your stay enjoyable. The beach and pool are fabulous and the maintenance and security around the complex are first rate. Both Jorge and Lilibeth were available to answer questions and help with anything you may need. Thank you Jorge and we look forward to our next stay.

Breath taking view, beautifully decorated condo with all the comforts of home!

My husband and I were fortunate to be able to spend three weeks at this beautiful condo. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Lilabeth who showed us around the condo and how everything worked. When we stood out on the balcony, we were so amazed by the breathtaking view of the ocean, the huge pool just beneath us and the cleanliness of whole property. Every morning we woke up to this spectacular view and we sat and enjoyed our coffee and breakfast before heading to our favourite cabana on the beach. It is a very quiet place during the week so if you are looking to relax, this is the perfect place. We enjoyed the local restaurants including elMason, the Argentina, Giulia's, the Chili Deck, and Cafe Bistro. Lots of fun on the weekends with the entertainment at the Chili Deck and Cafe Bistro. The best part is that everything is in walking distance, smaller grocery stores, a pharmacy and a clinic and of course your beer, wine and spirits stores. The fruit ladies on the beach come by everyday with your choice of bananas, pineapple, mangos, avocados, all picked fresh that day. The staff within the Marbella complex were friendly, courteous and very helpful. We always felt safe! The condo itself is very beautifully decorated and we felt very much at home, with all of the comforts and then some. We can't wait to go back next year! Fantastic Holiday Condo

First let me say that when booking a property one of the most important things to me is a responsive owner. Well Jorge was amazing in answering all my questions and very quickly. It makes the process so much easier. Jorge also arranged for his regular driver Mr. Sanchez to pick us up at La Romana airport where he was dutifully waiting for us with a sign. He was happy to stop at a supermarket on the way to the condo. We arrived at the Marbella Condos which had great security and helped us with our luggage to the condo. I had inadvertently copied Lillibeth's number incorrectly but she called Mr. Sanchez on the way so she was there to check us in. When we walked into the condo we were amazed with the view. It is a modern, well furnished and extremely clean condo. There was even some sitting chairs and a table on the balcony which was perfect for dinner outside and cards. Two of the TV's even had Netflix which was a hit for the kids. There is an onsite restaurant and bar, but we found the nearby restaurants a little less expensive and they had more selection. We really enjoyed pizza delivered from El Con Con, El Agave, and Paladart and El Meson which are a 10 minute walk. There is also a little grocery store across the road. We felt very safe at all times. We also enjoyed Gulia's for breakfast. The condo property had tons of security and was very well maintained. The beach was beautiful and the pool was great also. It was only busy on Saturday and Sunday when locals from Santo Domingo come to the beach but there was never even close to a problem with room on the beach or by the pool. There was always ample chairs. There's not a lot to do for excursions and we heard the full day excursion to Saona and Catalina are packed and have limited drink options. We just relaxed by the pool and beach and really enjoyed it. Thank you Jorge for letting us use your beautiful condo, and I would highly recommend it for anyone thinking of going to this area or looking for a very relaxed vacation.

Beautiful Beach

Wonderful getaway!

We were traveling to Santo Domingo for work and added a couple extra days to our trip. So glad we did. The apartment was beautiful and view of the beach amazing. Jorge arranged a driver to bring us to and from Santo Domingo, once in Juan Dolio, there is little need for a car as there are several good restaurants (loved the paella at El Meson) and a market within walking distance. Hope to return some day soon!

Fantastic Lication

I tacked a few extra days onto a business trip to the DR. Staying at Jorge's beautiful condo was the perfect way to get some R&R after a particularly hectic run of travel. I highly recommend it!

Un magnifique appart avec une vue extraordinaire

Nous avons passé de très belle vacances dans cet appartement tout confort: Tout àfait conforme à la description qui en avait été faite, de confortables prestations et une jolie décoration : de grandes pièces confortables, 2 salles de bains, des ventilateurs dans toutes les pièces, une cuisine avec tout ce qu'il faut pour cuisiner et une terrasse qui offre une vue incroyable. Le tout dans un cadre exceptionnel, les piscines, les chaises longues, le sable blanc (les plages sont très propres), la mer... un petit paradis. Nous souhaiterions aussi remercier Lilibeth qui nous a accueilli à notre arrivée, merci pour sa patience et sa gentillesse.

Hidden Paradise!

We had a great time at Jorge's Marbella condominium. Both the inside and outside are beautiful and look just like they do in the pictures, and Jorge and Lilibeth made sure that we had everything we needed. The staff at Marbella are extremely nice, and they make sure you are safe and keep the grounds perfectly maintained. Restaurants in the area were great as well. If you're up for an adventure, we took a day trip to Saona Island, which we booked at a car rental agency across the street from Marbella. We had a blast and can't wait to come back!

The Pictures Do Not Lie!

I'm writing this review while sitting on the balcony overlooking the pristine waters of the Carribean. This place, simply put, is paradise. Jorge, Ms. Lillibeth and Socrates made the entire booking, transportation & check-in process as simple as can be. The property is beyond clean and well maintained. Beds are comfy, bathrooms, kitchen and living space immaculate. Couple of tips for the first timers coming to Juan Dolio. Best restaurants in the area are El Agave, El Meson & Pekara. El Agave is immediately across the boulevard from the condo. EXCELLENT Mexican food right down to the house-made tortillas. Enormous portions, excellent value - have a margarita, it's worth it!. El Meson is about a 5 minute walk to the left of the complex. They have excellent seafood - we enjoyed the paella mixta for two. El Meson is a bit more expensive, but worth the splurge. PLEASE go to Pekara for breakfast! This little bakery/cafe is right behind Cafe Bistro on the side street immediately in front of the condo complex. The bread here is worth the entire trip to the Dominican Republic. I think the water does magical things to the crust. Anyway, EXCELLENT value for a darned good meal - Great way to start your day. There is a small grocery store also immediately across the street; easy to get to, but limited stock. You may want to pack a few staples if you are a picky eater - or just enjoy the local restaurants. Will be purchasing Rosetta Stone Spanish lessons so that we are better equipped to communicate next year :). The local vendors and business people are very nice; English is not widely spoken, though. No worries if you have access to Google Translate on your phones. It worked wonders for us. The only negative we might have is that they are working on beach reclamation (which is totally fine & understandable) during the weekdays, so there is heavy machinery driving up & down the beach. Not such a hardship. It is wonderful to know that they are maintaining their precious resource. We will be making this an annual trip. We LOVE working with Jorge and know that the property will be in perfect order next time we come. Enough typing now... the beach is calling my name!

Hi Jorge. Great holiday.

Yes we had a great holiday. Your unit is well equipped and you and Lilibeth treated us with professionalism. You have asked for a little input to help others on their stay. 1. Put under counter led lighting for the sink and counter area. 2. Install a wooden or metal fold-up close drier for the towels and cloths, instead of using your electric drier. This will save you money in the long run, 3. Upgrade the hall and bathroom led lights to make sure that they are properly diffused. The current led's are like spot lights and leave dark areas. 4. The gym has older equipment and some of the equipment does not work. Please contact your building managers and get them to check the equipment and replace as necessary.

Perfect getaway!

My family of four stayed at this amazing rental property in Juan Dolio during Christmas time. Everything went smoothly and the location was absolutely perfect. The view was spectacular and everything we needed was in walking distance from the condo. Jorge was prompt with emails and even called to check on us to see how everything was and if we needed anything. We hope to come back soon!

Best Vacation Rental You Could Find!!!

We just cannot say enough about this rental. It is beyond clean and so well thought out that you feel like you are staying in your own home. No expense was spared in this condo and it is really such a great place to stay! We would HIGHLY recommend this place. The beds are so clean and the furnishings are really smart and taken care of. We will be back! Thank you so much for taking care of your property like you have. My daughter rented another unit and half way through her stay had to change to another one because it was so run down and dirty. Neither place she was in even came close to our unit. This place deserves 11 stars not 5. Gorgeous, gorgeous place!!
