Sunrise Retreat

The Sunrise Retreat offers a peaceful space to enjoy nature and outdoor activities. You'll have access to the boat dock where you can launch kayaks and canoes. Boats and other water craft can be launched from the public boat ramp close by and anchored at the house dock for the length of your stay.

Checkout our guidebook for local attractions including both water fun (natural springs, river tubing, gulf fishing and more) and local equestrian centers.
The space
Features all the modern amenities including electronic locks, WIFI and access to your streaming services so you never have to miss a show. The kitchen is fully equipped including a Keurig and drip coffee maker for the coffee of your choice. Washer & Dryer available. Don't forget your fishing rods and camera!
Guest access
The front yard has plenty of space for parking and recreational vehicles. RV parking & hookup available at additional cost.

Very clean, comfortable home. It had everything we needed. Very conveniently located to many of the activities that we were doing. Some great restaurants nearby also. Great communication with our host.

Know that there is not a lot of curb appeal. Once you enter the property however, you will find a very well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and really nice view of the inlet for the lake. Coffee on the deck in the early mornings (hot in florida at this time) was really nice. Fishing was fun. Lots of little fish and a curious alligator coming around to check things out. We were close to the Withlacoochee trail which was a great trail for walking, running or biking. Unfortunately we did not take the kayaks out but this place came equipped with kayaks and fishing poles. A washer and dryer worked well and that was really appreciated. Also, a screened in porch was a nice feature. In cooler months, this would be a good place to have meals. We would stay here again.

Great little fishing getaway.

Really nice place for our fishing trip. Short drive to Crystal River for our saltwater fishing and being right on a great freshwater lake for the rest of the weekend was awesome. We parked the boat at the dock behind the house and just fished whenever the mood hit us. The house is very clean and had everything we needed for the stay.

Perfect Escape from Chaos

The property exceeded my expectations. It was quaint and peaceful. The owner is extremely thoughtful in providing essentials. My son especially loved the sunrise each morning over the water. The communication with the owner was fast and courteous.

No Fishing

Kids could not fish because the whole fishing area was nothing but weedy muck, that was one of the main reasons we booked this property. House was clean and enjoyable host communicated promptly.

Amazing stay

We had a great time, the house was very clean and it was great that it was by the water, we got to fish off the dock and see some alligators at night. We had our own boat that we used to explore the lakes. We liked the small town it was in, near enough to everything you need but in a quiet neighborhood.

Perfect Get-a-Way!

Chris was very accommodating right from the start! The house was beautiful and was perfect for my husband and me! The only hiccup with check in was the address. VRBO had a couple numbers transposed which sent us in the wrong direction but a quick call to Chris and we were at our destination. The king master bed was super comfortable! Right on the lake and when I inquired about a place to rent a boat or pontoon, Chris got us all lined up and the pontoon was there tied to the dock when we arrived! The neighbors were so friendly, and it was a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. We almost bought a home around the corner while there! That's how much we loved the area. Nothing better than a fire next to the lake at night. Location is close to Hernando and Inverness and only about 15 minutes from beautiful Crystal River. Chris will set you up with information on all the local attractions! I highly recommend a stay here; you won't be disappointed!
