Awesome House .Right on the water. Very bright and clean. Will stay again.

Stayed here for a week while fishing FLW tournament on the lake. Was perfect location to the ramp and State Park area. Cadiz is a really neat town also and close for snacks and supplies.

Great family vacation home

The screened in porch and beautiful scenery are the star of the show. The home was clean and comfortable for our family of four. The owners were very communicative before and throughout our stay.

Lake Barkley Getaway

Beautiful location on Lake Barkley with a dock. Enjoyed the peace and quiet and seeing deer in the yard in the evenings. Owner was great and gave great recommendations for restaurants and groceries close by.

Week at the lake

Very nice property. The house has everything you need for a great time at the lake. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the house was clean and well furnished. If there was a problem, the homeowner was very responsive. I would highly recommend this property.

Amazing view of the lake, gently sloping grassy area down to lake. House was squeaky clean. Owner was very responsive during booking process and wanted family vacationers, not partiers. Had no problems during our stay. No cell phone coverage there and wifi is 2G. Would definitely stay again.

Covid Getaway

As things began to open up and my little boys, wife and myself needed to get away and do some fishing and relax. We gotta a special surprise when Grammy decided to join us :). we fished right from the shore and caught a couple of nice catfish. We also rented a pontoon boat for a day. It was amazing to just relax and enjoy the beautiful views and wildlife this property had to offer. It deffinitely is worth the stay. We enjoyed it very much!

Relaxing weekend get away

We had a wonderful experience at this lake house home. The pictures were true to reality, the short walk to the dock and lake meant we could take a dip in the lake anytime.Location was easy to find, there is a marina close so we were able to rent a pontoon boat for a day. The kitchen was well stocked for all things we cooked or baked while we were there for our stay. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very nicely decorated, plenty of towels and extra blankets if needed.WiFi isn’t great, but we were able to still do what needed to be done and there were many DVDs available to watch so we chose to do that on a few nights.The owners were very responsive, shared great information for the house and local places to eat. It was very helpful in our planning. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

beautiful property and well maintained yard

You do have a problem with the refrigerator. It leaks water over everything in the refrigerator. There were bowls in there when we arrived and couldn't figure out why but learned quickly why. Found the little life jacket on the rocks so left it on the dock. Thanks for letting us use your home.

So happy you loved our lake home.!!! Unfortunately, a few days before you arrived , the ice maker began leaking into the refrigerator ,we had a repairman come not once but twice to “fix” it. After two times he said he had to order a new ice maker. We thought it would be best to place bowls under the drip area , rather than disable the ice maker , so you would still have ice & wait until the week after your departure (when we would be at the home) to install the new ice maker so you wouldn’t be disturbed during your stay with a repairman around . I left a note explaining situation.. I always am available 24/7 for any questions, concerns via text &email. Guests are always added to my favorites on my cell for instant access. :))))

Wonderful, relaxing lake house vacation

Beautiful 3 bed / 3 bath home with 900+ feet of lake frontage. Despite a few other homes around, it felt very private. Kitchen was incredibly well stocked as were the bathrooms. Home has a huge fully screened porch but we didn't get to use it too much as it was almost 100 deg each day. Loved having our own private dock for a boat rental. We rented a pontoon boat. The lake is quite shallow for a deep v-hull at 5-15 feet in most places. Only negative point would be the lack of high speed internet to stream or do work. Otherwise... fabulous and would recommend to anyone.

Gorgeous lake home with spectacular views

My family and I stayed a week and everything was fantastic. The views were amazing and the kids had a great time swimming and fishing off the dock. The home was a great size for our family and we enjoyed the screened in porch very much. The yard was huge and allowed for lots of outdoor activities. The fire pit was great as well. Overall, this was a very enjoyable vacation in a wonderful home.

Lake Life

The property owner, Cathy, was amazing with communicating everything we needed for our stay. Each bedroom having its own bathroom was amazing. We loved the boat dock and were able to park both our boats, one under the covered portion and the other on the side. We enjoyed the screened in porches in the evenings when the bugs came out. A little more storage to stow food would have been nice but in no way hindered our stay just cluttered the counter. Cell service is spotty in the location (no fault of the owners) just an FYI. Perfect for our week away. Thank you Smith family for sharing your piece of paradise.

Nice Property

We really liked the property. Very clean and comfortable, The screened porch was excellent. Very nice for morning coffee to evening wine. Loved spending time there. Owners were very helpful. While property was great a few things to know before you book. Almost no cellular service here you have to rely on wifi and that was pretty slow. If you had to work on your vacation here you might not like it. Master bath is only bath on first floor so you have to share.

Thanks Michael, we loved that you enjoyed our home. The screen porches upstairs & downstairs are true favorite gathering areas for everyone. The private lakefront views they offer is fabulous & amazing considering we’re very close to town for essentials. The home does offer 3 bedrooms & 3 full baths. The WiFi can be slow at times but we’ve had many guests this year that have worked from our location without any problems. Thanks again for being our guests!!!!

Great Lake Home

This did not feel like a rental but a cozy and beautiful family lake home. Just what we needed. You can not beat the properties lot and VIEW. Sunsets are beautiful from the dock or hammock. Wonderful Dock with No stairs made it easy for us to swim everyday and run back and forth to the house. Cathy was very responsive. We will be back!

Quick COVID-19 Getaway

The property was as described. There was plenty of room for 6 adults. We spent evenings by the fire pit or drinking wine in the screened in porch. We swam and fished when the weather permitted and even rented some wave-runners for a day. During one of out pontoon boat rides an Asian Carp landed in our boat ! No injuries but lots of laughs.

Relaxing getaway

Lovely home with beautiful views and spacious boat dock, where we sat several times to take in the surroundings. We grilled, made s’mores around a campfire, rented a boat, fished, watched several of the movies from the huge selection available and thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Wonderful Time on Lake Barkley

This is an excellent property. For the first time in my many rentals, the VRBO listing did not do justice to this property. This is a must stay. The location is very nice, the property beautiful and the home was warm and bright. I would definitely stay here again.

Awesome chill week

The house, view and lake were amazing. The screened in porch was my favorite place to read and relax. The boys loved having their own dock and bathrooms. We enjoyed the fire pit, and had a fun cornhole game. Loved the layout of the house. Had a wonderful week.

Great family stay at the lake

The property was great. My wife spent lots of time on the screened in porch. It was elevated and drew a nice breeze as well as view of the dock and some of the lake. The home was better equipped and organized than any I have stayed at in this price range. Kathy is very attentive to detail and you can tell that she is an active owner. The dock was in very good condition also. The property is much larger than any I have rented before. Very comfortable for our family of 6 with teenagers.

Wonderful week on the lake!

This home was comfortable, clean and in an absolutely beautiful setting! The boat dock was a great convenience. Our family had a wonderful week fishing, canoeing, and enjoying the beauty of nature. We look forward to staying here in the future! The Rinks, Evansville, Indiana.

We purchased the lake lot 27 years ago and waited for the perfect time to build our dream retreat. There is no other home in the area with a private penisula lot with a panoramic view and very gentle slope to the water. Very unique and desired !!!
