Loving Maui / Kapalua

The pull out sofa bed was horrible you could feel the springs on your body ! It was possible to sleep on it ! I pulled the rug off the floor in the bedroom to make it somewhat possible to sleep on then piled blankets on it ! I was able to finally get a foam pad on Monday we came on Friday ! The master bedroom furniture was old and dated maybe from the 1970 ! The site said it was updated ! The window covering we’re old broke and dirty! The main floor was nice ! The location was great ! But honestly I am upset that I paid so much for it ! Not a good value ! It would be great if I received some money back ! I couldn’t recommend this property to anyone I know !

Beautiful place

Excellent view of the ocean and very spacious. Great access to two beaches and a nice walking trail. I would definitely stay again.

Kapalua AMAZING!

Our stay here couldn’t have worked out better. We were so pleased with the accommodations and location and will without a doubt be recommending this to anyone we know coming to Maui. Kapalua is amazing and we had no issues getting to other parts of the island during our stay. We left Maui for Kauai and a stay at a hotel and immediately missed the freedom of having our own villa in Kapalua. If you are considering Maui, most definitely consider staying here!

Decor is cheaply done .Living room chairs uncomfortable. My wife killed 3 cockroaches in the kitchen during our stay, however ,the condo did appear clean. Landscape is nice. I wouldn't choose this property again

We had a wonderful stay at this property. We spent 10 days in Maui, 4 days at a nice resort and the rest of the trip at this property. The upstairs bedroom view is amazing! It was a great change of pace from the resort and we loved the location. You are walking distance to the beach and a place to jump off rocks into the ocean. You are also a short drive (less than 2 miles) from 2 more beaches (Slaughterhouse and Napili) and the best snorkeling we did on the island at Honalua Bay. We would definitely stay here again!

Not So Peaceful

The area is fantastic and the units are nice. However, this specific unit is next to the parking lot so there was constant door slamming and traffic. It was also right above the pool so there really is no privacy and we had to keep the window shades down when we would rather they were up. There was also the issue of the grounds people cleaning. They are constantly using their leaf blowers starting at 8am and they will come right up on the patio, so again no privacy. At one point the fumes from the leaf blower filled the entire unit. Not so pleasant! I did contact management about the issues with no resolution or compensation. I recommended that the ground staff convert to electric leaf blowers which would be much more pleasant for guests. Otherwise, fantastic! Kapalua is beautiful!

Phenomenal location, but the condo itself needs improvements

The location of this property is incredible - a short walk to two very different, but equally great beaches. The complex is nice and well taken care of (it could've been planned better, as there is a view of a parking spots no matter which window you look out of, but that's a minor detail). The condo itself features a tastefully remodeled kitchen and bathrooms and a nice floor plan. The view from the bedroom is nothing short of stunning. With that said, it feels neglected and practically cries for TLC. Half of its windows (literally half!) don't open and some have their handles broken off. 1/3 of its blinds don't work and those that work are paper thin (literally made out of paper); they are thin, noisy and feel incredibly cheap. Low level bathroom door didn't close without a major effort (my teenage daughter was not able to close it on her own). Both lanai door and screen didn't lock. For 7 pieces of pantry there was one sorry glass lid; the rest were missing. Pans are scratched and are about as old as the A/C, which is noisy and feels original from the 80s, when the condo was built. Some of dresser shelves practically fall out, when you pull them. I was itching to give this place a 3-star rating, but settled on 4. The location and the views compensate for all the inconveniences. The management company was responsive and helpful as well, although they can't improve it enough without owner investing some money into it. With some improvements and a newer furniture, this place will be 5-star ready, which is what it really deserves.

Perfect place to Honeymoon!

Private condo property with plenty of room, 2 beaches within walking distance, a serene and tranquil pool, I can't say enough good things about this facility. Plenty of parking in a secured gated lot, hassle free check in/out... our stay was just great!

We came 4 for a family vacation. We all loved it. Condo is so so nice. Pool and tennis courts were close and perfectly decorated with plants and flowers and incredible views of the ocean. Could not have chosen a better place to change me to Maui

Beautiful Kapalua Bay/Villas

I was in Maui for a friend's wedding, and I researched condominiums close to the Montage where my friends were staying. I must say that the condominium I chose was a pleasant surprise, with stunning views from both levels, a fantastic floor plan, and perfect convenience to the Montage. I also had a well equipped and updated kitchen as a bonus. The owner had recently purchased and renovated the property, with a wonderfully casual island elegance. The property management personnel, particularly, Nicole, were very helpful and friendly, as well as efficient. The shuttle service for the Kapalua Bay resort was a tremendous perk, and at the driver (I am so sorry I forgot his name), was friendly and informative. I highly recommend this property!

Nicely updated villa with amazing ocean views.

We love spending our vacations in Kapalua and had a great time at this updated villa. The views from the lanai and bedroom are truly mazing. We'll definitely recommend this villa to our friends and family and will not hesitate to book again.

Wonderful townhouse style villa close to Kapalua Bay

We loved our stay in this Kapalua townhouse style villa! Although this unit is next to the parking lot and above the pool area, it was totally quiet. The pool was deserted most of the time, and if really someone used it they were completely quiet. On the plus side: you can literally park directly in front of the unit (plenty of parking at the villa) and the pool and BBQ area is just steps away. Due to the townhouse style you do not hear any neighbors at all. This place is indescribably peaceful - especially when thinking about the crowds in Kaanapali. Really nice and tasteful decoration and furniture, comfortable bed, wonderful bathroom with a walk in shower. We loved the Maui shampoo brand and soaps they provided. From the moment we entered, we felt at home at this place. Nice little touches that makes you feel welcome like the nicely folded paper towels in the kitchen. While we did not do much cooking during this trip, the kitchen is a dream. Fully equipped with anything you might need, including sharp knives - and what we found extremely helpful: many storage containers in all sizes to keep our food or take cut up pineapple slizes to the beach. At the time we stayed there they also had a nice beach closet with an adult and a kid boogie board, beach mats, etc. Plenty of plush towels and beach towels were waiting for us. To have a washer and dryer in our unit was great for us. The unit has two quiet air conditioning systems and fans in the living room, bedroom and bathroom. During our stay the trade winds were up and there was no need for any air condition. There is such a nice cross breeze that we felt completely comfortable without air condition. The views of the ocean from this unit are exceptional. We share great memories of using the lounge chairs on the lanai with the view of the ocean and a wonderful nice breeze. We loved the proximity to the Kapalua trail. A few minutes walk on a paved path got us directly to Kapalua bay with great snorkeling, a few minutes the other direction on an unpaved trail to Oneoloa beach or to cliffs, with great sunset photo opportunities. We absolutely loved the location of this villa! In addition the management company that handles this unit does an excellent job and are super friendly and easy to deal with. I highly recommend them and this villa! If we should come back to Maui, this is the place and unit we would love to stay at again!

Great Unit at Kapalua Bay Villas!

My Fiance and I just spent 5 nights in this unit and were so pleased with it! The unit is in the Bay Villas which we think is the best place to stay in Kapalua (on the ocean side of the main road). It's clean and really well equipped. The mattress was really comfortable, there is a/c both upstairs and downstairs, wi-fi and newly remodelled bathroom and kitchen, beach chairs, towels, etc. The kitchen has everything you need cooking wise and they left detergent for the w/d and soap for the sink for us! The manager Valerie was so great to deal with - before we arrived she sent us all the information we needed so our arrival was seamless. We really couldn't be happier with our choice for accommodation. The pool outside our unit was undergoing some maintenance during our stay (it's literally right in front of the unit) but it was ok, we just walked to another pool in the complex down the way. The board walk and Ironwood beach are both right there. We definitely hope to be back!
