Casa Azul: Private pool & 15 minutes' walk to Caribbean Sea!

Casa Azul gives you everything you need for a fun, relaxing stay in one of the hidden gems of Mexico. Mahahual is the southern-most cruise ship spot in Mexico and about 90 minutes from the border with Belize. It is a diver's paradise, alongside the second-largest coral reef in the world. It features gorgeous beaches and glorious ocean breezes. It is a small village but there is plenty to see and do in town and within an easy drive. Snorkeling with sea turtles and tropical fish, swimming with dolphins, VIP beach experiences, a water park, and boat excursions all beckon here. Mayan ruins, cenotes, and the freshwater lagoon in Bacalar are just some of the nearby highlights. The boardwalk of restaurants, beaches and shops is an easy 15-minute walk or a $1.50 taxi ride away.

Grocery stores, produce stands, and a meat market are within a few minutes walk of the house. There is also a wonderful cafe, a pharmacy and delicious tacos on our street! There are many restaurants and bars within an easy walk of the house.

Parking is free and readily available on the street right outside the house. Taxis are readily available and inexpensive.

Casa Azul is a fully renovated home with spacious bedrooms, bathrooms, a large kitchen and living room, and a lovely backyard with a pool and large covered patio. The house is bathed in natural light and features custom-made doors and cabinets and Mexican touches throughout. There are air conditioners in each bedroom, one in the kitchen and one in the living room. There are also seven ceiling fans throughout the house and outside as well. The internet is high-speed Starlink and perfect for streaming or virtual meetings. The wifi even extends outside! There is a comfortable workstation in the secondary bedroom.

There is a comfortable couch and chair in the living room where you can stream your favourite TV shows and movies through your own streaming accounts. The kitchen features beautiful Mexican talavera tile, full-size appliances and a plenty of counter space for the chef in your group. The spacious showers feature hot water and good water pressure. The principal bedroom features a walk-in closet, blackout curtains and a beautiful view of the backyard. The beds are comfortable – Luna mattresses! There is even an outdoor shower to wash off the sand!
