Thanksgiving Gathering
We had a group of 6 adults and 2 kids (12&14) at the home for a week. Other family visited during the days.
The property is beautiful, relaxing and there is lots of space to walk around and for kids to run and play.
Yes, the home is small, but surprisingly, it only felt cramped on Thanksgiving Day when trying to cook our big meal and when more family came to visit. I would recommend keeping your gathering to 10 or fewer in the house. If you're gathering outside, the property can accommodate a larger group.
The kitchen supplies are standard for a rental property. Our family knew we would have to supplement additional cookware for our Thanksgiving meal. Typical visitors will be able to cook and bake their meals with ease.
Bedrooms were clean, and we all had a good night's rest all throughout the week. The "kids" room advertised as a bunk and twin is actually a twin and double.
The new description of the home (updated sometime after I reserved the home) does a good job notifying potential visitors of the creatures and critters you may hear or come into contact with. Being from another state, I didn't think about scorpions, but I am ok with the typical bugs and rodents. The one drawback about this house to consider is that there are 2 doors and 1 window which do not have a good seal and around sunset, a few insects and critters find their way into the warm home.
We did reach out to the host before and during our visit and they were very responsive and respectful.
