This full service cabin has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Outside, there are front and back decks for relaxing as well as a fire pit with wood available for purchase on site. Inside features a full service kitchen/dining/living room combination, one bedroom with Queen sized bed and full bath. Wifi is provided along with a smart TV. Area attractions include PA Rail Trail for biking and hiking, Dark Skies at Cherry Springs, Quaint town of Wellsboro near the PA Grand Canyon, and many other biking and hiking trails.

Great little cabin

We enjoyed our weekend away at the Sugar Shack. There were great local restaurants just down the road and plenty of access to outdoor adventures. The cabin offered a cozy place to hide from the storms and rest up for another day of adventuring. Can’t wait to go back again.

I surprised my husband with a weekend getaway here! We loved our stay. The cabin is clean, homey, and perfect for a couple! The surrounding area is gorgeous and we loved sitting by the fire pit at night. Lyle and Shelly are great hosts and communication was super easy. We came to the area for the Cherry Springs and this was a great location. The sky here is amazing too! It was a 30 min drive to the park area and 20 min to Wellsboro. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores within a short drive.

Perfect for a low-key weekend getaway for 2. Kitchen had all the amenities we needed, plus a couple of decent restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive. Hosts were quick to respond & check-in was easy. Cabin was clean and well maintained both inside and out. Unable to access Pine Creek for fishing at/next to the cabin, but a short walk/drive down the road has slightly easier access. Cabin appeared secluded from the pictures, but there are close neighbors (although the road and neighbors were very quiet); great stargazing!

We had lovely warm Fall days. We visited both rims of PA Grand Canyon, Lyman's Run Dam/Park & old friends in Germania. All places I hadn't visited in decades. Lots of good memories surfaced! We made a point of getting the famous sharp wheel cheese from the Germania General Store. Always a treat! Our accomadations were very comfortable. We enjoyed time on the porches & a fire out back also.

We are Lyle and Shelly Wattles who live in the area and chose this property for a vacation rental because it is in the Pine Creek Villages area. We also own the cabin next door which we call "Sweet Spot". Sweet Spot has been a vacation rental since 2016 and has some very nice reviews. Check out VRBO #785244.

The cabin has a feel of its own even though there are other cabins around. Pine Creek is across the road with access 1 1/2 miles away, at a bridge on the way to the property. It is a short drive to the Pine Creek Real Trail access, Lyman Run Lake/State Park, Wellsboro, PA Grand Canyon, and the Dark Skies at Cherry Springs State Park.
