The fully equipped kitchen includes full-size appliances, a microwave, pots and pans, dishes, utensils, a coffee maker, and a Keurig. The dining area has sliding doors that lead to a large covered west-facing porch measuring 36’ x 8’, making it the perfect place to relax rain or shine. The living room offers comfortable seating, a Smart TV, and a gas stove for chilly evenings. The main level bedroom includes a queen bed with fresh linens and bedspreads. The full bathroom has a shower and is stocked with towels, a hair dryer, and basic toiletries.
The covered porch is a guest favorite and offers plenty of seating for relaxing and spending time with family and friends while enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
The Loft Sleeping Area (382 sq. ft.) works well for families, kids, or multiple generations traveling together. It overlooks the main living space and provides plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The loft includes one king bed and two full beds, all with fresh linens and bedspreads. A sliding glass door leads to a private loft deck overlooking the backyard, creating a cozy and secluded spot for morning coffee and birdwatching.
Laundry access is available in the unfinished basement, which is not part of the rental space. Guests are welcome to use the washer and dryer, but this area is for laundry use only.
The property offers a wooded, semi-secluded yard ideal for yard games, grilling, and relaxing evenings around the fire pit. There is plenty of parking near the cabin, as well as additional space near the pole barn for trailers, boats, or snowmobiles. An aluminum canoe is included for guest use. Please note that railroad tracks run behind the pole barn and are rarely intrusive.
Lake life is right at your doorstep. Bring your fishing poles and your boat, or rent ours. The private dock on the Marion Lake channel is located approximately 275 feet from the cabin down a gradual slope and includes foam bumpers to protect your boat. Fishing right off the dock in the spring is excellent and especially fun for kids and grandkids. The property is located just minutes from the public boat launch.
Pontoon rental is available for an additional fee. The cost is $250 per day with a three-day minimum, or $1,250 for the full week, offering significant savings.
Marion Lake offers more than 1,600 acres of water, depths over 70 feet, and clear water that is perfect for fishing, cruising, and water sports. Walleye, northern pike, largemouth bass, crappie, and bluegill are commonly caught. In the spring, guests often enjoy pulling in fish after fish right off the dock. As summer progresses and fish move to the main lake, the private dock remains the perfect place to park your boat and head out for fishing, water sports, or a relaxing cruise. If fishing isn’t your thing, the dock is also a peaceful place to read a book and enjoy the views.
While there is no swimming beach directly on the property, a sandy, shallow swimming area is located just across the lake and can be accessed by car or by boat. The gradual entry makes it ideal for kids of all ages and is a favorite spot for beaching the pontoon and swimming for hours.
