Relax with the whole family at this peaceful lakefront home. 3 BR 2 FB, 1-king and 2-queen with pull out couch comfortably sleeps up to 8. Fully furnished including smart TV, wifi, washer/dryer, kitchen utensils and appliances, indoor/outdoor games, 4-kayaks and rafts available for your use. Large back deck with plenty of seating, spacious fenced-in backyard, 100' of lakefront, firepit, two picnic tables, and private dock. Plenty of parking with RV port (30amp). Great family friendly or group getaway. Shallow water depth, between 3'-4' for approximately 100-120 yards off the dock, great for relaxing and playing in the water. Amazing views!!!

Lost Crab is a great cabin in a quiet location and for our family was a perfect get away. We spent 3 nights and enjoyed swimming in the lake and going kayaking. Everything is clean and well laid out.

The property was wonderful! This was the most well stocked place we have ever stayed! They thought of everything! It felt like a home away from home! The kids loved swimming off the dock and kayaking and playing with the many floats and toys that came with this place! They stayed busy from morning to night! I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for the perfect getaway!

Wonderful stay

My family (myself, my partner, a teen, and a preteen) stayed for 5 nights. It easily was one of our top 3 vacations. We loved the kayaks and found plenty to do while relaxing at the house or exploring the area. The house was clean and comfortable. We have zero complaints. We will definitely stay again if we come back to the area.

Wonderful Relaxation

Lost Crab is a quiet area and was super peaceful throughout the Labor Day weekend. We enjoyed kayaking and just sitting in the porch. The sunsets were fabulous. The house is well set up and very comfortable. Hosts are very responsive and even left us a bottle of wine to enjoy,

Beautiful sunsets at Lost Crab

I could not ask for anything more from a vacation rental. The property has a beautiful lake view. There is seating on the porch or in the yard around the fire pit. There is a private dock. There are kayaks, fishing poles, grills, and so much more available. Inside is attractively decorated and fully stocked with all the comforts of home. Wed stay here again!

We made the most of this attractive and fun property. We used the kayaks and played in the water. At night, we watched fireflies and enjoyed the sunset. The house was charming. The beds were very comfortable, not too soft.The layout provided our two families to have our seperate areas, plus provide a private work area for our son to work online. Communication with the host was excellent and great directions to the property. We have family in the area, so we were familiar with the roads and services/stores. We would stay here again!

Wonderful for Winter

We enjoyed our stay. We brought all of our own food and supplies but I was pleased to see so many kitchen and household supplies for those that don’t bring their own food and cooking/cleaning items. The grounds were kept nicely. We loved hanging out at the fire pit. We brought hot chocolate and s’mores, which were wonderful by the beautiful lake view.We received an email saying chairs were in the garage, so we went to grab them. There’s a treasure trove of lake toys to use when it’s warmer. We’re looking forward to returning in the future.

We are originally from New Jersey and Maryland (hence the "Lost Crab" name/decor), military and government work has moved us around all over the country, from Maryland area, Texas, a few overseas tours in Korea and Iraq along the way, and now in Huntsville, AL.
Outside of work, we have two young boys that keep us busy. Also enjoy competitive trail and obstacle course races and short triathlons. We love sharing our home with others, really like hearing families enjoying it and making memories. Absolutely love having people appreciate all the thoughtfulness we put into the home to make it a perfect vacation getaway for everyone to enjoy.

Although on the more shallow side of the lake, the isolation creates an incredible peacefulness each and every day. Even on busy holiday weekends, you'll feel like you have almost the whole lake to yourself. It is a very quiet street, extremely friendly neighborhood and a great place to relax.

All of the thought and care we put into try to provide the little comforts. We wanted to make this place one that all you need is to bring some clothes and food along with you and that's all you'll need. We've tried to provide everything else that you'd want/need in your own home. The lake is the main feature, and the property offers a lot of space and comfort to relax, and truly enjoy a nice getaway.
