The house was perfect for our annual family spring training trip. Everything was immaculate and fully stocked when we arrived. The documentation was thorough and informative. The pool was a highlight and perfect for the kids. It was clean and heated to the perfect temperature. The bicycles and basketball goal were a hit also. The house is decorated and set up for a wonderful stay. The only time we had even a small issue, Marietta and Carlos were instantly responsive and a delight to talk with. This was the best house we’ve stayed in during our 10 years of spring training trips. Highly recommend the house and the hospitality. Can’t say enough about both. Thanks, Marietta and Carlos.

This is our second time visiting Shadey Acres. We have enjoyed the large property, quiet neighborhood and it's proximity to Jupiter, offering many things to see and do. We continue to be impressed with how well the house and property are furnished. There is a full kitchen with all the appliances and tools that were needed to make 14 days worth of meals. We enjoyed riding the bikes around the neighborhood, spending lots of time in the heated pool/spa and playing badminton in the yard. The kids were pleased to each have their own private spaces again with all the bedding options. Wifi was fast. The pictures and listing are accurate. The kids are asking to go again next year. Marietta and Carlos are great hosts! Thanks for a great time!

Shadey Acres was absolutely wonderful! It was completely stocked with everything you could possibly need. The extra details, such as the welcome basket, beach supplies and pool toys were wonderful! The beds were so comfortable, and the property was beautiful! The location is perfect, isolated but still close to everything. The welcome book provided tips on restaurants, shopping and places to explore. In addition to celebrating our birthdays, we got engaged! We absolutely loved Shadey Acres and will definitely stay again!

Baseball Spring Training Trip

Shady Acres was a perfect place to escape winter and enjoy a family vacation. The house was perfectly equipped with everything we could possibly need! Extremely clean. Comfortable beds. Lovely Family Getaway

Beautiful property, with lots of room to spread out and swim, play bumper pool, dine and relax. The beds are very comfortable as is the furniture/ Marietta and Carlos were very attentive to our needs. Quiet unique country setting, yet only a 15-20 minute drive to the beach.

One of the best vacations we’ve ever had

This property is beautiful, clean and super private. We had an amazing time in the heated pool and the beach is very close. We are all virtual, working and going to school and the WiFi kept up great. I can’t say enough great things. We were very sad to leave.

Over forty years ago I met my husband while on vacation in Florida. We fell in love and the rest is history……

A year later we married, moved to Jupiter and raised our five children right here in Jupiter Farms, just a couple of blocks from this very house. We now have five beautiful grandchildren.

We are semi-retired now and we really enjoy our work managing this vacation home, Shadey Acres. We love this area; it feels so rural but has so much to offer. Carlos and I bike to Riverbend Park from the Shadey A. We love to canoe the Loxahatchee River that winds throughout the park and up to Jonathan Dickinson State Park. The neighborhood is safe and very beautiful, great for biking and walking.

We love to travel and having a large family ourselves so we have rented a fair amount of Vacation Homes in our travels. Using those experiences we took the best of what we learned from those other homes and tried to incorporate it into our management strategies for Shadey Acres. We have tried to anticipate all of your needs and hope that you enjoy your stay with us.

Why Palm Beach County and this property?

The reason we believe you will love it here is because this house is our vision of a perfect vacation home.

Shadey Acres has 3 king size beds, 2 twin beds anda queen tempurpedic sleeper sofa and enough living and dining room for everyone to find a comfortable place to sit and relax.

The property has gorgeous landscaping and a luxurious pool and spa that are very private.

A beautiful barn with a covered deck entwined with sweet smelling Jasmine is a cozy spot to sit and relax with a cold drink and a book.

The yard is big and great for playing games like family football or soccer, or maybe a little B-ball or Horseshoes and is completely fenced in so its pet friendly.

The location is wonderful; The Shadey A is minutes away from the beach, Riverbend Park and Northeast Everglades Natural Area (NENA) -the Historic Jupiter Indiantown Trail, Roger Dean Baseball Stadium and lots of fantastic shopping, restaurants and family entertainment - movies, bowling, miniature golf. Just 15 minutes from Harbourside Plaza a great place with live entertainment, upscale stores and restaurants and a Green Market. Rapids Water Park, Palm Beach Zoo, the Planetarium and other great attractions are all within minutes of Shadey Acres. With all these attractions nearby, we have to confess, our guests tend to spend a great deal of their time at poolside and relaxing in the gorgeous lush greenery of Shadey Acres.

Jupiter Farms has always been a great place to live and now the area and cities around it have really grown up into a perfect spot for a vacation. Jupiter Beaches are rated among the top 15 in Florida.

The neighborhood is a safe place and with large lots, there is lots of space between neighbors, affording our guests and their pet’s privacy. Shadey Acres sits on 2.7 acres that has a manicured yard as well as wild areas for the real taste of the old Florida.

What makes this house unique?

Things that made us fall in love with the Shadey A were the fully screened heated pool with heated bubbling water fall spa. Having the full screen means you can sit out comfortably in the evening, without having all the local insect wildlife for company!

We love the carved stone Shadey A sculpture as you enter the property.

The fact that the property is so close to the back door bike entrance to Riverbend Park and the NENA trails is so much fun, we know because we enjoy riding the trails of the park.

The location is very easy to find for Out-of-Towners was a plus as well. Basically you just get on Indiantown Road West from either the I95 or Florida Turnpike, continue West about 4.5 miles to Haynie Lane, (just past the Beacon Church) make a left, go another 2 miles (just past the Randolf Siding 4-way stop), make first left on 159th Ct. N., (dirt road), and Shadey Acres is the second mail box on the right. Easy Peasy!

It’s also that easy to get to the beach, just out to Indiantown Road and take it East about 11 miles, it dead ends on A1A (the beach road), make a right and you are there! (And there are plenty of great restaurants and shopping along the way!)
