Host sent a slight comment about the road. That road was ridiculous!! We were coming from Ohio and almost brought our car. It would have been impossible to get back the lane! Out brand new Honda odyssey would go back the lane! There are numerous spots across the road (from sewer lines) that are so high the host should have said in the advertisement of the cabin. Host should have warned they you need a 4x4 or a vehicle that sits very high! My husband had to drive across it inching very slowly while me and the kids got out and walked!! Which was ridiculous because it rained and was muddy. There were also so many pot holes! They need to repair or warn. I text the host letting them know we scraped the bottom of the car and had to walk. She was like oh that why I said something. Literally a mention of it a few hours before we arrived, that’s crap!! Also have a small oven with no cookie sheets or anything to put in it. The heat is unpredictable, the host words, but only 1 heater and she said there is one in each room. Shower knob broken and fell off.

The house was nice. The neighbor stood outside when we arrived late the first night and watched is park. The road leading to the house is very rough like previously stated in other reviews.

Clean and cozy. Some suggestions. Since only one bathroom put mirrors in loft and bunk room for makeup and hair. Loft pillows had pillow shams. Would prefer pillows cases to sleep on. It was raining so did not use fire pit, but if did firewood supplied or option to purchase would be nice. We enjoyed our stay!

Nicely decorated and stocked cabin. It has a bi-level living /dining room. Host was very accommodating and friendly. Check in was easy. Some minor maintenance is needed and road going in is very rough with pot holes. Neighbors are close and not so quiet during our stay. Overall it was sufficient for our needs and location was convenient.

We felt the cost value for the property was fair. The property was well equipped and had all necessary things. I would bring my own spices. The property is very quiet and tranquil, but the road coming in is very long and in poor condition. It felt like going to grandma’s house. There were not any major issues with the cabin and amenities considering the age of the house and the area it is located in. The only two things that we felt could really be improved on was cleanliness and the cold water handle in the shower kept falling off. This house is a great option for people traveling with children. It is evident that the owners are working on making it comfortable for future visitors, but it still needs a little improvement.

Very cool place. Just as advertised. Clean and comfortable. Well furnished and creatively decorated. Had everything we needed for a weekend stay. Well thought out use of space makes it feel bigger than it is.

Property was as described and owner was very sweet. Parking is VERY tight for more than one car and the neighbors were clearly annoyed about having a rental nearby. Worked well for what we needed (family trip to Legoland) once we got inside!

It's a very cute cottage and it fit our needs. The road getting there was quite rough, our van scraped on the bottom a few times, but the property itself was great. And she was a very attentive host, she replied right away when we had questions.Thank you very much!

Cadet R-Day final family time

Cabin is cute and cozy. We enjoyed our stay. Well stocked kitchen and appliances. Great deck and back yard. Too hot for both fire and sauna, but nice amenity. Convenient location to WPt (30 min). Road to get to cabin is not for the faint of heart or the bottom of the car. Take it slow, but you will scrap. Window AC and fans were helpful as well as shade trees, we had 94 degrees days but cabin felt comfortable. Board games available to play which we enjoyed. TV was usable with our own subscriptions, but volume of TV issues. We are used to well water, taste and smell, but for those that are not may be of putting. We had bottled water to drink and make food with. Overall, great little place that served our needs very well.

House was nice. Didn't realize it was well water so surprised by smell. Could use more dishtowels and hot pads. Couldn't get keurig to work. Light with ceiling fan in downstairs bedroom wouldn't turn off without fan also turning off.

West Point graduation stay

The property was almost exactly as described. The cabin has character and makes you feel at home with the decorations. We had our young grandkids (2 and 4) staying with us. There was plenty of room for them to play, and they loved the bunk beds! When they say the drive is rough, believe it. If you have a car with little ground clearance (Chevy Malibu), you really have to weave around to keep from scraping. Our kids had a mini van and an SUV and they had no problems. The hosts were very attentive to our questions and responded quickly. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet cabin close to a lot of things to do.

Cute rustic cabin

We had a peaceful stay here while we were in town for a few days.The cabin was very cute, clean, and the neighborhood/ neighbors were very quiet. The steps into the bathroom and bedroom were illuminated and the upstairs loft was a cool getaway for our teenager.Recommend taking a bigger vehicle that can take a rough gravel road.

Charming Cabin

We enjoyed our short stay at this comfy little cabin! It’s cozy and has a “lived-in” feel—definitely a bit worn, but still charming and functional. The outdoor space is the real highlight: the deck, fire pit, and sauna were perfect for relaxing. It’s also in a great location near wineries and some beautiful hikes.Just a heads-up: the cabin is at the end of a pretty rough dirt road, so be prepared for a bumpy ride in. It feels nicely tucked away, but it’s not completely isolated—there are neighbors close by on all sides. Overall, a great spot for a quick getaway!

Sweet Cabin to Enjoy with Family

We stayed at this cozy cabin in Monroe for 4 days since we were looking for a somewhat close location to West Point to visit our cadet. This cabin had plenty of room for the three of us. The floor plan was open, which was nice. The beds are comfy, and there are several useful amenities of which to take note. These included fresh towels for the bathroom and sauna, shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers in the bathroom, plenty of board games to keep you occupied, and a functioning T.V. I have to say our favorite amenity has to be the sauna. It's quite roomy inside and it gained heat quickly when the night got cold. We did have some trouble heating the cabin at first. However, our host was extremely attentive and stayed in close contact with us about this to provide multiple solutions. There is a spacious backyard with a large patio sporting an outdoor table and relaxation area.The cabin is decorated adorably and the host is super sweet! I would recommend this cabin to those who are looking for a home away from home vibe.

Perfect getaway

We took our cadet off base from West Point for a long weekend and we were so happy to have found this cozy cabin (just like the listing says) just 25 minutes away. It is not too far off the main road but feels like you are getting out of town. The cabin is super cute with warm wood walls and floors. The bunk beds are bit small but perfect for children and the other two beds are queens so it was perfect for my husband and I and our West Point cadet. The host is very accommodating and responds very quickly. It snowed about 10" while we were there and I quickly asked her if the road gets plowed since it is a dirt road off the beaten path. She immediately responded that there is a neighbor that will plow it and sure enough there was. Great little getaway!

Quiet getaway

Lovely little cabin in a quiet area but not far away from everything. Weather didn’t let us enjoy the fire pit or sauna but rest of the cabin was great for the rainy days.

Very cute cabin

We were welcomed with a very comfortable and cute cabin, out in the country and private. As we enjoyed the Sauna we got to see deer. Our host was very helpful and even had a welcoming gift for us! We would definitely stay here again!

Good, but could be better

For the price, this property was ok. It definitely had what we were looking for--a place to sleep, cook, wash up, and do laundry. Its quaint, but could use some improvements. The biggest problems we had--the booking service the owner uses charged my credit card 6 times for our stay over the course of 5 days. The owner wasn't able to do anything about the charges and I had to petition my credit card company to reverse the extra charges. Also, we rented this property on a warm weekend in August. We realized the 1st morning that we were there that there was no hot water. The owner was quick to respond with an apology when we reached out to her, but did not offer to try to have it fixed during our stay. It was a long weekend with sweaty boys playing baseball. In the end, she did give us a credit on our stay, but only after we pushed for it. The road is horrible, but that's clearly stated. I made it in my Prius by going VERY slow and dodging as many dips/ruts as I could. Would I stay there again? Probably. But I would definitely see if there were alternatives.

The Coziest Cabin!!!

What an amazing stay. Such a charming cabin with beautiful blue siding accompanied by a garden straight out of a fairy tale. Adorable decor, the beds were so comfortable, and the kitchen so spacious. Everything just felt so homey I truly forgot I wasn’t living there myself! And lastly I have to mention how amazing the backyard space is. A beautiful deck to sit and have a coffee in the crisp mornings. I was blown away by the sauna it was so cozy and beautifully designed. Truly everything about this place made my little weekend feel like a nice long vacation. I cannot wait to visit again!

Great little place to stay

Upon arrival, I wasn't sure the directions were right - it seemed like we were surely headed the wrong way, but there it was! The neighborhood isn't a typical scene for me, but the place was super quiet and had everything we needed for our short stay. The sauna was a hit, and there was plenty of space to fit everyone in. The Cabin is very unique and has some interesting design concepts. There's a nice little lawn and fire pit which was perfect for the evening time. Just be prepared for a bumpy trip down the road/driveway. And if you think you're not going the right way, you probably are!
