El Green Gate Farmhouse es uno de los dos alquileres de vacaciones excepcionales en nuestra histórica propiedad de 13 acres (ver nuestros otros anuncios de la casa de granero y cabaña de madera también en esta propiedad). Esta casa de campo recientemente renovado cuenta con 1. 5 baños, un dormitorio privado con cama de matrimonio y un área de loft con tres camas individuales. Una cocina bien equipada y mesa de comedor hermosa tabla de arce se proporcionan para su disfrute de comedor. Los huéspedes disfrutan de nuestro porche cerrado y porche delantero filtrada para descansar durante los meses cálidos. Las comodidades modernas, tales como aire acondicionado, televisión directa, y wifi gratuito se proporcionan.

We loved staying at The Farm House! We stayed for a week and felt at home. Having an ev charger on site was awesome! We were able to charge up quickly and get back out to explore the area. It was nice that everyone had their own room. We made meals, played games, watched a few movies and played lots of disc golf!!! Would definitely stay here again.

Wedding getaway

The Farmhouse is wonderful! My 3 sons (age 14-22) and I had everything we needed, all neatly tucked into a beautiful little house. We also had 2 young men with us, my son's groomsmen. We stayed Wednesday to Sunday and were very comfortable, enjoying the trails and lake (rented kayaks from Shawn) and spent quality time together before my son's wedding in Aurora on Saturday. THANK YOU for sweet memories in a relaxed environment. Sleep arrangements for SIX people were excellent and comfortable, bathrooms were beautiful, kitchen excellent. Even the hide-a-bed was comfortable, for a sleeper sofa at least. It was not a paper thin mattress and I slept fine on it. Highly recommend!

Felt like home

I loved this very clean but simple farmhouse. The feel was soo welcoming and comfortable. The wood stove added to the coziness. I wish I had this house for my home! The kitchen was adorable with the Fiesta ware dishes in an open cupboard style. Our family needed extra room for visitors during a recent funeral and it served the purpose beautifully where friends could gather to visit. We never met Shawn,but he responded to our messages right away and made accomodations for our needs. If we didn't live soo close I would stay there on vacation! Next time we need a place we are going to rent the barn...Sooooo cute! I bet the summer months are beautiful out there.

Wonderful get-away with plenty to explore

In a nutshell, we loved our stay. Beautiful and well-maintained historic property right near to Giants Ridge. Shawn took great care to ensure a very pleasant stay! Mesabi bike trail within walking distance, the best public golf the state has to offer, swimming access on Embarrass Lake (again, walking distance), and easy journey to lots else (mine tour at Soudan, food co-op in Virginia, etc.). It was perfect, even with no campfires allowed due to the drought. We stayed for two weeks. A couple things to note: (1) stove is older and need to use care when lighting the pilot light and burners; (2) laundromat not in house - we went to Gilbert; (3) we chose to purchase a hotspot for the duration of our stay to be able to stream things on Netflix, etc, but Direct TV was a nice bonus and would have been fine!

Adorable Farmhouse

The farmhouse is adorable and is in a lovely setting. There were a few snowstorms while we were there and the log fireplace kept us warm and cozy. It’s a 5 minute drive to Giants Ridge as well. The owner is responsive and gets back to you quickly with answers to questions. We had a great experience overall. Thanks!

Great Location

Property has a great location and is in excellent condition. Two points renters should be aware of: 1. Layout of bedrooms is such that you have to travel directly through one bedroom to get to the other 2. Charcoal BBQ grill is very old and needs replacing.

Scored big points with the wife!

My wife was not excited that I extended our Lake Superior tour for another couple days to Biwabik... until we got there. Gorgeous property with each house cuter than the next. I don’t typically use words like cute and adorable, but Shawn has created something special. Really great experience at Green Gate and fun exploring the surrounding towns to experience small town USA living. Soudan Mine tour was great for the kids (and me) and convenient for a half days fun.

This is a charming and cozy farmhouse that was the perfect winter getaway to enjoy the northwoods

This property was the perfect family getaway to relax and unwind in the northwoods. We spent a long weekend skiing, tubing, hiking, and cooking meals in the farmhouse kitchen. The space was warm and comfortable. The architecture and furnishings are charming and full of character. We will be back!

Absolutely perfect in every way! Beautifully renovated with old world craftsmanship that is rare!

I needed extra accommodations for family members during Christmas and this was the best! Great location, beautiful grounds and super host! My family will be staying there again this summer for our family reunion. For a small town community Greengate is a huge find! I can't say enough about it! Thank you Shawn!

Perfect family getaway

This was the second time we stayed at Greengate. The kids loved the grounds and checking for eggs every day, I loved the farmhouse, screened in porch and the attention to small details from the decorating to the functioning kitchen. Shawn has created an inviting, comfortable and trendy space. We highly recommend this serene property!

Wonderful place--has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay.

Loved the screened porch and fire pit, that had all the makings for a roaring fire stacked nearby. The place is peaceful and beautiful. Last year I stayed in the barn home and this year in the farmhouse. Although very different, they are equally comfortable and well-equipped. Next year I hope to try out the log cabin!

Beautiful grounds, Clean and well appointed house! We loved it!

My husband and I brought our 2 young boys up North for a winter vacation and this was the PERFECT place! We enjoyed hiking around the property and using the fire pit to enjoy the clear starry evening. The barn house was so great for our family. The kitchen had everything we needed to make all of our meals, the couch in the living space was super comfy, all the blankets and quilts on the beds were very cozy. The decorations in the house were all great, the attention to detail just fantastic. I can't say enough about how well appointed this house was! Dealing with Shawn was a breeze, he was quick to respond to all of our questions. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to have a getaway, the vicinity to Giants Ridge, Biwabik and a lot of other fun stuff is just perfect! We're coming back for sure!
